This family owned and operated business has been a part of east Dearborn for decades. They have menu items named after important people in Dearborn's history, such as Bill White, Roger Miller, Jim Padilla, councilman David Bazzy, and even the former Mayor Guido. Monday thru Friday there are excellent specials, but I'm particularly fond of Wednesdays. Every Friday night they stay open late and have jazz performances. In a town where new restaurants pop up every day offering the same stuff and close a few months later, I'm happy that Top Dog has been around my whole life.

This potato is pretty basic with bacon, cheese and chives. It comes with a side of sour cream. You have the option of adding additional protein or toppings at a charge. What came on this was plenty for the size of the potato. I did have to come in with salt and pepper as it really was not seasoned at all. This should have salted butter added to the potato before the toppings to give it some flavor. As it stands the potato is pretty bland on it's own. I like the value for what i received. The potential is truly there. It would be nice if a garlic butter add on was possible or even the option to just add butter to the potato before toppings applied.
