I just wanna say that I just got the worst tuna plate ever from Allen Park Leos. it came with one scoop of tuna like a scoop of ice cream scoop,four scoops of cottage trees and three peaches for almost 10 bucks. I ordered on the side, cucumbers and tomatoes. So I proceeded to call the Leos in Woodhaven that I always go to, found out they are not the same owners which I can tell entirely Don't waste your money eating here. I'll go to the one in Woodhaven. It's worth the trip. If I could pit a picture up, I would say Allen get it together. I called Woodhaven and said are you the same owners as the one in Allen Park and they said no we're not we're different owners. she highly apologized to me for the bad food I received-and said for me it come over to the Woodhaven store and she would remake it for me. When we barely we walked in we got seated right away, drink order taken and then took our food order all within 5 minutes. Some places you can't even get seated that fast let alone everything else. The food was delicious, I ordered the Mexican omelette and everything on it was fluffy, delicious and crispy. It's crazy how they can make an omelette that fast and it's very delicious. This place ALWAYS gets my business no matter what location they are at because Leo's knows what you want, how you want it and when you want it. Stopped in for carry out, the service was fast and friendly, time from order to me walking out the door was less than 5 minutes. I like their spin on a Cobb salad, and the order is gigantic it's truly enough for two. The salad comes with plenty of dressing and a whole toasted pita. Yes I did find a few wilted leaves but not more then I consider usual, for a coney spot. Order two coneys with cheese. Leo's chili sauce is very bean forward the cheese is liquid, so this is not my favorite coney style. Dog is snappy on the bite, natural casing, but a bit salty on its own. If I go back I'll try the loose hamburger coney which beef based chili. If I'm putting Leo's against Skyline or Gold Star, Leo's is a distant, distant, not in the same race contender. Ordered a Chicago dog, it not pure Chicago style, but I liked it better than their normal coneys. A snowy Monday calls for coney island comfort food. We ordered a little of everything - BLT pita with seasoned fries, Mexican omelette, and scrambled eggs with cinnamon swirl french toast. You have to get the cinnamon swirl and not just the regular french toast - it's amazing! I think I prefer the BLT sandwich over the pita, so I'll stick with that next time. On June 12 2024 I ordered in at Leo's Coney Island at 23233 Outer Drive Allen Park, Mi for a fried chicken dinner and a diet coke with 2 slices of white bread. The food came to the table later than usual. I am a regular customer. About 3 minutes into eating the chicken I began to cough. It tasted like white pepper and red Chili pepper. I took a couple a sips of the diet cola, which taste the same and began coughing more. I began to regurgitate and excused myself from the table headed toward my car to get myself together. I just made it to the parking lot and began profusely throwing up. I eventually made it to the front of my car and vomited some more. Got into the passenger side and got some napkins and threw up some more. I eventually got myself together. My eyes were watery, mouth hot and mouth extreme dry. I headed back into the restaurant when I happened upon the owner sitting outside the restaurant on a bench with his back facing me toward the parking lot. I came around and asked kindly if something spicy like peppers was put into my food. He arguably said no. I gathered my things and went to the counter to cash out and notice he was coming from the back of the inside of the building and cashed me out. There was no care, concern, apology or refund offered by the owner. Got it my car and pulled off 2 minutes later and saw Allen Park Police hurriedly pull up in front of the store a left out quickly in a hurry. I will never go there again. read more

Usually good. Today I went in an ordered my 8 piece mozzarella stick appetizer with two Hot Dogs and fries. Not even five minutes after I put in my mozzerella stick order, I was given a 5 piece. They were not hot and the cheese was not melty. I knew they were not fresh out of the fryer because if they really took less than five minutes they should have been hot and melty. I think they were someone else's order because it was evident they were sitting behind the counter before they reached my table and got cold, which could not possible happen in the five minute time span of me ordering them and receiving them. I usually don't take to the internet, I've worked restaurants and I understand sometimes things go rough. I however have had frequent problems with this establishment and am now feeling motivated to share my last and final experience. First and foremost do not second guess the wait staff. These people bust their hump and are always a pleasure. I have been giving this place my business for 4 years (every morning in the winter) and the only consistent is that the wait staff is always attentive, friendly and personable. After being sat by one of the constantly frowning and unfriendly owners/managers, I was promptly greeted with a cheerful server. I explained to her that I could not have hash browns or toast and it would be great to substitute the included starches for some spinach and feta in my omelette. She told me that cheese was extra and I accepted the charge pleasantly (extra for cheese is common). She then returns to my table and apologizes, the manager says it's a dollar for spinach and that the potatoes and bread are complementary. As to not be rude I say that's ok I'll pay extra, please inform the manager this will be my last visit. As a manager when you hear something like that, you don't have to kiss boots, but you should at least come check out what the issue is. Nothing no visit. I get my food in descent time and begin on my meal. Halfway through my omelette I find a medium length beard hair INSIDE the folded omelette. I don't waste food, ever. Keeping true to my standards I fish it out, put it aside and finish my omelette. The waitress checks on me and I ask to talk to the manager. Cue talk with constant frowning unfriendly manager/owner number two. I shake his hand and explain to him that I found this hair in my omelette. I tell him I'm not looking for a comp and I ate my food because I don't waste. While I don't remember exactly what was said I remember the reaction was equivalent to someone going "oh...." I continue to explain that my real issue lies with the fact that I had less food and paid more because of a simple sub he wasn't willing to make. He tells me, it's a computer issue and that I could've gotten tomato slices. Now I don't mean to be rude, but that's a load of crap. I've worked in way more corporate, and less franchised establishments and computer workings is never an issue. If it really comes down to it the manager can manually comp the add on if need be. It really just comes down to a cheap unfriendly owner/manager, being stubborn. So not only did I not get an apology for the hair, I now get lied to. Btw not the first time a manager has lied to me at this place. Also while I did tell him I wasn't looking for a comp, he could've at least took the spinach off the bill as an apology. Nothing. As I paid at the register unfriendly manager/owner number one asked me how everything was, I said "well, not good" she says verbatim "that's odd" and that's it I pay, leave a 30% tip and leave. I have gone to this restaurant because it is convenient and the wait staff are so friendly. I unfortunately will no longer support those owners as their treatment of the staff and customers is repeatedly awful. If you're ever in Michigan or you've been here for a minute, you know the reputation of a coney. Out-of-state folks look at Michiganders like we're nuts. "Coney? What in the world is that?" would be what goes on in their minds. It's up there with our idea of "pop" and other Great Lakes state pop culture references. So again, if you're in Michigan, coneys are what they are. Places to get cheap food at a reasonable price and depending on where you're at, they're open 24 hours. I review Leo's before. I don't need to say much as Leo's is in fact a chain coney restaurant. But the one in Allen Park is much better as far as quality compared to their Riverview location. Again, went with what I knew as the litmus of my experience. The Hani. Or also known as the Chicken Finger Pita. This was a better experience. The pita was fluffy and warm, the chicken tenders were... well, chicken tenders but a touch juicier and the chicken to breading ratio leaned more towards the meat vs the breading which I like more because, it's a chicken tender, not fried bread laced with chicken. Obviously the better of the two Leo's experience I've had in a long while. read more
