The pace at PetSmart was fairly frenetic, but Danielle was always cool, calm, and collected. I worried that she might leave one day after becoming the head groomer, and was lucky enough to get her to share her contact info with me. We reconnected and Ember just had her first grooming at the Soggy Dog. We couldn't possibly be happier! We are absolutely over the moon to be back in Danielle's caring hands In this lovely spot. My husband had planned to take our dog in for scheduled grooming appointment and when he looked up the business address to confirm directions, saw that the business hours are Tuesday - Saturday 10-5. As our appointment was on a Monday, my husband then tried to call the store, 4 times, to confirm they were open before he made the one-hour round trip to get there. No answer, no outgoing message ever picked up. Based on the business's stated hours as being closed on Mondays, and the fact that no one answered the buissness's phone, he reasoned there had been a mix up, and that there was no appointment. Shortly thereafter, I received a text stating our appointment was cancelled, as dog had not arrived. I tried calling, no answer, no outgoing message picked up. I decided to text back to the number that told me our appointment was cancelled, and then I received a phone call from the INCREDIBLY BELLIGERENT owner, Matthew, who, like the previous reviewer stated, yellled at me, said if I had listened to the outgoing message, I would have understood that even though the business is closed on Mondays, the groomers are still there (the absolute disconnect between what "closed" means and "groomers are still there" apparently makes sense to Matthew. When I later listened to the outgoing message in full, I found no message at all saying "business is closed but groomers are there" :: he lied about that); he then hung up on me. Anger issues does not begin to describe this person's disposition. Suffice to say, we will NEVER go back, and I would advise any potential customer to go anyplace else. Anyplace at all. But she came home one day with the softest brushed hair. Someone read her behavior. We do day care and have boarded both pups. Irresponsible and deceitful breeder. One star because I had to select one…read more We purchased our GSD puppy from Doreen in November of 2020. We were told that she would be "a great family dog." We inquired about he parents temperment and were told they would produce good family dogs. We decided not to bring her back to Doreen for training because we had heard mixed reviews from other owners who had used her. We instead went with a trainor with over 30 years experience. We did individual sessions as well as a 4 week long board and train, followed up by refresher sessions. Additinally we worked with our K9 officer who has many years experience working with and traing GSD. Our dog was more work than any other GSD we had ever raised but we continued to put in the time and effort. Keeping her challenged and exercised. Our trainer, the K9 officer and our vet had expressed concerns about our dog and the breeder, but felt if we kept putting in the work she would become more confident and secure. Unfortunately, just shy of 18 months, she started getting more skittish and anxious. She started growling and cowering, and bit 2 family members. When we sought the advice of our trainer, K9 office and vet, they all stated we need to either return her to the breeder or euthanize her. We reached out to Doreen and she stated she did not have any room and could not accept her so "just put her down.' We were shocked. We continiued to try to work with the dog and our suppprt system but finally came to the conclusion that she must be euthanized. We again reached out to Doreen and she exhibited no concern for our dog or family. She admitted that the father could be very difficult to deal with and "she doesn't push him" but she had no way to not that our dog's behavior was genetic. She made no offer to evaluate our dog's behavior and never questioned our training process. When we asked if this had happened before, or is dogs were ever returned to her she stated "2-3 dogs per year get returned". Unacceptable. Most breeders have not had 2-3 dogs returned to them in a lifetime. We then asked if she would return our fee and were told no and "fine just bring her back." From the beginning of this experience we never felt we would return her to Doreen as she created this problem. We have now euthanized our dog. We are saddened and shocked by this turn of events. An honestly sick about the fact that Doreen will continue to breed animals. Find another breeder!!!!!!!

I dropped at 5 picked up at 4pm and would have done so earlier if I could have. The place seemed over run by dogs like they took too many in & on top of it my vaccinated dog got kennel cough. It's hard being a single doggy mom. So, rather than shacking up with the next available dude who might make a decent dad to my 65 pound pit bull, I opted to explore the dog walker option. So much cheaper. And the interview process is not nearly as tedious. I was referred to Mindy by my neighbors who have two very dog-aggressive pups. And while Gus is not dog aggressive, per se, he doesn't like every dog he meets, so it takes a diligent and knowledgeable walker to ensure his and everyone else's safety. Mindy seemed to be right up our alley. Mindy stopped by the house and met Gus. He loved her. Immediately. Kisses and jumping and that lean in dogs do when they are feeling particularly affectionate. She asked all the right questions and, when I had questions, she had all the right answers. She leaves little notes telling me about their walk and whether his business was appropriately done. Unfortunately Gus can be a total pain in the ass and his report card will sometimes read "Gus was a little stubborn today." Which means he probably refused to walk and threw a temper tantrum with his leash. Mindy puts up with a lot of bullshit. But she never complains and I love knowing he's in such good hands. And I feel a lot less guilty when I have to stay at work late knowing that Gus has had an awesome walk that afternoon. My beloved neighbor Jaime, a retired Puerto Rican Vietnam vet who spends most of his summer afternoons sitting on his porch, keeping an eye on the neighborhood, told me this: "That dog walker lady you got is a good one. Make sure you keep her around." And I always listen to Jaime's advice.

I like that they focus on JP so that their clients are closer together. My pup can always use more time socializing, so I appreciate that a walk with a friend or two happens when possible. Or if not, she goes by herself, and that's fine too (at no additional charge). The price for a 30-min. walk has only gone up one dollar in three years; it's currently $16, which is cheaper than anywhere else for that amount of time. They accept PayPal for payment, which is super convenient since who has checks anymore? Finances aside, what I really appreciate about them is their flexibility. Sometimes, our walking days would change each week, and all they asked is that we email on Sunday night to say which days we needed walks. Or we'd go several months without needing walks at all. All of that was fine with them, and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Oh, and my dog completely adores Mindy! I just moved out of the neighborhood and am on the hunt for a new dog walker... it is not easy to find a good one that's reasonably priced. I really miss Mailman's Pet Service!
