My doggie, Dozer, and I just LOVE the Dog Stop!! Dozer has been for their grooming services as well as their boarding services and everything is superb! First of all, we love the location. Since I live and work downtown, it's really nice to take him to a place that's only a four minute drive! They have a spacious parking lot and it's super easy to get him in and out. The facility is awesome! They have a little store just inside the entrance and behind that is their boarding area which is in front of the daycare parks and next to the grooming station. You cannot beat the prices and service here. I was going on a last minute out of town trip and needed boarding services and they allowed me to bring Dozer in before they opened. They were so gracious to work with me. I loved watching him on the cameras. He had a blast playing with new friends and running around. Their outdoor area is awesome! It's turf so Dozer's grass allergies weren't agitated. I learned that they clean it regularly and that it has a draining system. Very cool! I was so comfortable leaving my little man there and I know he had a great time! Their grooming is awesome too! Their prices are so good and they really took care of my nervous guy. He left looking and smelling fresh! I can't recommend this place enough! And they're open 365 days a year! If you're looking for daycare, boarding or grooming services, this place is the best - hands down! read more

We took our pup to stay at the Dog Stop for a night based on a friends recommendation and were so happy with our experience! Everyone was so welcoming and loving towards our dog. The cameras where you can watch them playing with other dogs is a nice touch and almost too addicting lol. They also have nice add ons (treats, walks, one on one play) for reasonable prices. They had even washed her blanket for us by the time we came to pick her up the next day! We will definitely be using them again and highly recommend. read more

The Dog Stop is top notch. I boarded my dog there for vacation. My dog is not the most social dog and I was concerned she would be spending most of her time in the kennel and not playing with the other dogs. She was a different dog while we were gone. The staff worked on getting her socialized and she was playing, having fun and this has everything to do with the amazing staff at Dog Stop! They kept me updated during vacation and I had no worries. Okay, so this is sorta a doozy! I have been taking my dog to the dog stop for the past 3 years! I get there and it is a woman I have never seen before-- ok no problem! She wasn't super friendly or anything but not an issue. All the front desk workers normally greet my dog with such excitement because everyone loves her but she repeated kept calling my dog a he when she is a female so I figured she must be new. I asked if she was new or anything since I haven't seen her and since she didn't seem to know my dog and she said that she was the new owner with an attitude. She then proceeds to tell me that my dog has not been updated on her bordetella vaccine which I thought was super odd because she just got all of her vaccines a few months ago because she was due and I make sure to keep up on it so she can go to daycare! PLUS she has been going there for the past several months AFTER she got her updated vaccines! So obviously they had them if she has been going for the past few months and I know for a fact I sent them the new ones. I was confused and asked if she was sure and she said yes and I said that doesn't make sense because she has been coming here recently? I said I never got any emails from them to let me know of this issue either. She said yes we sent you an email and it is your job to know if your dog needs vaccines or not. I scoffed because who says that to someone? I ended up being over an hour late to work because I had to take my dog back home before going to work since she said she couldn't stay. I immediately called my vet to verify this confusing incident and they were just as confused because they said her records were updated which I thought too! They asked if I wanted them to hurry and fax over the records and I said no because at this point they already tremendously inconvenienced me and were clearly incompetent. I don't trust that new owner with my dog, and I won't be going back to the Dog stop in Columbus anymore. They must have lost the records or just had a clerical error? I have no idea but I have attached my records to prove that they are in fact updated and that she needs to get her eyes checked or just find a new job, and I vote the latter. If she's like this to all of her clients, I doubt the dog stop Columbus will be in business much longer!!!! I miss the old friendly people that were in there who knew what they were doing. read more

I took my 13 year old toy poodle to the Dog stop to be groomed there for the very first time. I was nervous because I Ziggy my 13-year-old toy poodle is a rescue. Since living in Columbus have been very fortunate to have an excellent Groomer taking care of him. Unfortunately his former Groomer has gone completely professional. When I arrived at the dog stop I met the Groomer Jackie. I gave her a description of how I liked a Ziggy to be groomed. I Ziggy was at the dog stop for 4 1/2 hours. When I arrive to pick him up. I was in total shock I was kind a paid them I laughed but I was extremely angry. I don't believe that they groomed Ziggy much at all. They did groom his penis I can tell you that but they did not groom his anus or his legs or the hair in his ears or the hair on his face nor do I believe they even brushed him. When I called to complain they told me that the reason it took 4 1/2 hours it was because Ziggy was matted Ziggy was in no different condition than he had been in the last two years when I took him to the prior Groomer. I sent him a picture of what he normally look like when he came home from the groomer and the owner explained that that was not enough of a description of what was wrong. So I explained the only thing that I could see that they had done was too noticeable bald spots and nothing else. The owner explain the Jackie has been a groomer for I believe over 28 years wow oh if that is true I feel sorry for any poodle that she has ever groomed I have decided going forward I will groom a Ziggy myself and I did so today and I can tell you he looks 100% better than when Jackie from the dog stop charged me $55 which I feel they basically stole Please do not take your pet to the dog stop. I don't know what they did with my Ziggy for 4 1/2 hours but it certainly wasn't grooming read more

We have taken our pup for a 4 day board and 4 additional days of daycare. When we tell baby girl the night before she's going to see her friends tomorrow she will wake up ready to go! When she gets there, forget the good bye because she is trying to jump the gate to see everyone. The staff is friendly, the pup loves them and I know she's safe and have the time of her life. Ophelia will be a regular here for sure. read more

I wish Yelp had a "Broke My Scale" rating because that is what I would give Dog Stop. I have nothing but great things to say about them and could go on for hours. My dog Pebbles was denied from Camp Bow Bow saying she was "untrainable" because she was afraid of the concrete floors. Rescue dogs aren't perfect and require work. The Dog Stop didn't push me away and worked with Pebbles until she felt comfortable on the floors. Now Pebbles goes to Daycare all the time! We LOVE Dog Stop! read more

This may be because the location had just opened, but I was able to get a grooming appointment only a few days in advance. My dog's haircut looked great and they put a cute bandana on her to finish the look. The process took around 4 hours and she is a small dog. read more

Since the new owner has taken over, the place has gone down quickly. At one point my pup was there 3x a week, and training once at-least once a week. Now I can't bring myself to take her there, I question her safety. Especially since Staff has quickly been swapped out or have left. That in and of itself tells you all you need to know. Lisa (previous owner) was always present. You could clearly see her passion. The new owner, Melissa. I have yet to even see her or if I have she didn't introduce herself. All the artwork/photos have been taken down. Now they are asking almost $10 to do the activists that use to be included in daycare. Even the social media post have gone from photos of the dogs to cold pre-populated corporate post. It's such a shame all around. I use to sing this company's praises to anyone who would listen, now I have to warn people. read more

My pup needed a last minute "spa service" and they were super flexible and got her in quickly. Retail wise I was excited to see treats (that accommodate a variety of diets), harnesses, food, dog bags and anything you would need in a pinch. We have tried taking our dog there multiple times now for both boarding and day care- every time she is covered in pee when we pick her up. If we board her then her bed is covered in pee. She is 1.5 years old and completely potty trained, so it is not because she doesn't know where to go. We have even told them about the issue and pick her up and she still smells like complete pee. Basically we pay them money to have to then give her a bath. Would not recommend and definitely will not be back. read more

My goldendoodle Tucker has been going to The Dog Stop Franklinton for boarding since he was 9 months old. He LOVEs it and starts wagging his tail once he knows where I'm taking him. For long trips it helps to know he is in good hands. The staff do a great job and have always gone above and beyond when our pup needed some extra TLC. I love being able to see him on their web cams. Our 1-year-old hound mix, Rocky, visited The Dog Spot today for the first time. He is a rescue and is very timid when first meeting new people, but they were very patient with him and he warmed up to everyone very quickly. After some poor experiences with other dog daycare/kennel locations, it was such a relief to meet such nice people who genuinely seemed to care for the dogs like they would their own pets. The facilities were beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean and the dogs had so much room to run and play together! Rocky was smiling the whole way home and now is fast asleep. It was a great first experience, and Rocky can't wait to go back again soon! read more
