It took a few visits before she learned the routine. Before I knew it, she was actually happy and initiating zoomies during the afternoon play session. The gals are great - Roxy runs right up to them, and from the reports they give me at pickup, she actually listens to them (?!). Beagles are notorious for their stubborn behavior and mine is no exception. She has a relaxed temperament and can be quite shy, especially around larger dogs. She does great with the smaller dogs and she has always been put with that group during playtime. I love the fact they post photos to their Facebook group, often throughout the day, so I can see how my Roxy Roo is doing. The increase in her confidence has been very apparent when comparing photos from her first few stays until recent. The hours are fantastic and they offer a reasonable rate. I've never had an issue with getting Roxy in without booking ahead of time. This has been huge for me as sometimes I do not know if I will be working in the field until last minute. Upon pickup, my pup tells me (VERY LOUDLY) how her day was and she has always been noticeable well cared for during her stay. She gets exhausted from playing, and her socialization skills and anxiety of being left alone has improved greatly. Prior to taking her to daycare, she would scream cry if I was gone for more than 5 minutes. Now she can be left alone 3-4 hours. Progress! Sometimes the facility is out of my way to a field site but I'll happily take the extra time to come here where I know my dog will be cared for and remembered. Great job! I recently hired Katie (Au Pets) to come twice a day three times a week to walk my older dog and new puppy. Puppies require a lot of work, patience, and consistency compared to older dogs who are already trained. Usually with walkers they just come and walk and go. The difference with Au Pets is they have taken the time to get to know the commands I use to continue the training process with my puppy while I am not there. The response has been amazing when I walk my dogs I can tell they are learning and improving telling that someone besides myself is working with them. Katie has also been very flexible as new commands are learned to integrate with her walk routine. They communicate after each walk how it went and give me an update. Always keeping me informed like for example if my dog is not feeling well or having problems with the bathroom. With this kind of communication and transparency I no longer worry about my dogs when I am not there. Overall I couldn't be happy with Au Pets! After taking her there for 1-2 days a week regularly, at pick up, we were told it was not a good fit for our dog, as she is relentless with play, and will not stay away from the other dogs, and they are very afraid she will get bit, as there are "bigger more aggressive" guys in there who could "really hurt her". The worker was very nice, but stated how concerned he was that she might get hurt. Understandable. Our dog will play play play; if a dog is around, she wants them to be her best friend. Upon returning home, I noticed that our girl had a gash near her eye- she had clearly been bit or, at a minimum, was on the end of an act of aggression. It seems the worker was not transparent, as she clearly did get hurt. I ultimately ended up emailing the manager, asking if it was typical policy to effectively kick out the dog who was injured, as it seems counterintuitive to kick her out, stating she is a liability as she won't leave dogs alone, and some get sick of her. It feels as though the dog who is the concern for the act of aggression would be the greater liability. At any rate, the owner responded that she probably incurred the "cut" because she was "annoying another dog". I would have appreciated communication if this was the issue, as nothing was ever brought to our attention prior to this. Just an honest review that if you have an active younger dog, you may want to consider sending them somewhere else where the dogs are divided by age/size/temperment.

Linda was recommended by our apartment complex as someone who could come by for mid-day walks when we had long days at work. She came over for a consultation, got to know our pups, and went over our preferences. Since that time, we have consistently trusted Linda with our pups for daily walks, for pet sitting when we leave town, etc. One of our dogs has some health issues and the other has some behavior issues, I cannot overstate how nice it is to know that Linda is taking care of them, allowing my wife and I to enjoy our vacations! She sends us daily updates with pictures as well which is awesome. One time our return trip was extended and I hadn't packed enough food for the boys. Linda went out of her way to go to our preferred pet store and get their exact brand of food! One other perk to note is that she walks our pups with other dogs that they would get along with, so they get some socialization in as well which is so great.
