After some interactions through text, a picture of what I wanted, and instructions that I wanted a 1" trim from the bottom length and a relayer, I scheduled my appointment a few days later. This spot is VERY Chinese. Lots of banter in the language but I liked the energy it gave. A little bit of a language barrier but I tried to keep it short and brief, and we "communicated" through photos of what I wanted, and what he could do. Almost all the chairs were full. I brought my son with me and everyone was nice to him (-: He was able to sit on a chair and wait for me while I had my hair done. Ming gave me exactly what I wanted. Basically a refresh. They were able to shampoo and rinse my hair, I was put in the chair, Ming and I had an exchange, and he went to work with precision and expertise. QUICKLY may I add.. I found my local salon. The team at Hair Glory was fantastic. They took the time to explain how to style his hair properly and recommended products that would help him manage it day-to-day. That extra guidance meant a lot, especially for a first-time perm. His hair came out great--no damage at all--and the salon was professional, clean, and welcoming. Another bonus was the price. Considering hair grows roughly half an inch per month on average, it could take well over a year for her to regain the length she lost. As I'm writing this review, we are literally searching for an emergency hair-extension salon because we have an important trip coming up. I actually wasn't planning on writing a review tonight. I went for a quick workout and they were ready to take me at 2pm. The ladies were very nice and the person who cut my hair happened to speak cantonese so she gave me good tips on haircare and told me that my hair is so wavy that it won't stay straight despite her straightening several times. I told her what I wanted and she followed it to a tee and my haircut is so well done! For straightening hair and doing layers, it's $35 + tip. I think I found my new place to get my haircuts.

Her transparency made the booking process really simple and I was so comfortable. I received a cal invite and text message that my appointment was coming up. While small, this still left a great impression Stylist Lulu was absolutely amazing and wonderful. I had ALOT of trauma with my hair. I expressed this to Lulu during my booking and she was extremely kind--especially with my almost cold feet. As she worked on my hair she walked me through each and every step.
