Our first visit at Dollhouse Tearoom was really nice. The food was good and so was the service and tea. My second visit with a friend unfortunately didn't deliver the same quality, being a disappointment. While the service and decor remain the same, this time around the scones were small, cold and overbaked, the butter and jam inferior from what we had last time, and the sandwich bread was slightly dry, the filling quite bland. It was unremarkable and completely forgettable of an experience. My friend selected the Afternoon Tea which costs $50 for 2 scones, 2 teas and "4 sandwiches". The "4 sandwiches" are actually 4 quarters, so it's actually one sandwich. She felt a bit ripped off and I have to agree with her. This was not a $50 experience. The tea was fine. There was no music playing. Something was definitely missing today. The atmosphere and food were lacking, so I felt obligated to change my review. The quality is unfortunately not consistent. Maybe the kitchen was having a bad day? I took her to Pecantown a couple of blocks down the street for some scones after this disappointing experience. The coffee shop did not disappoint, and it redeemed the day for her. It's just sad that I had to even do this. read more

I cannot say enough kind things about this business! The owners were delightful and went out of their way to make my proposal a success. The staff is so kind and professional. We had many tea choices and had trouble choosing! (Spoiler alert, they were all yummy) The straws and sugar cubes were heart shaped which only added to the fun atmosphere. This community is so loving and supportive that the patrons present at the time of our proposal all cheered and offered congratulations. We couldn't have picked a better venue. The people are genuine, the tea is delicious and the experience was well worth the two hour drive for us. We will absolutely be back! Please flood this place with support. Reserved a Grand Tea for 2 back in March for May 7th at 2:30p and upon arrival, there was a large baby shower STILL having a good ole time when they were supposed to end at 2:00p. The party didn't finish up until 3:20p so it was very loud in the Tea Room. However, once they left and they got us our teas and food items, everything was delicious and beautifully plated. Tea selections were great and what was a sour experience at the beginning became a pleasant experience at the end. The need a little bit better management when it comes to large parties and reservations and should consider roping off a section for parties and a section for the tea parties. read more

The sandwiches are all delicious and the bread is so fluffy and fresh. Love the salad, very little dressing (I love that personally) tea selections are plentiful and the decor is super charming with pleasant customer service. I am a stickler with traditional scones and these do need some tweeking, but they are edible and the rest of the experience is so lovely, I hardly noticed. Great place to bring friends and/or family for good conversation and a light lunch or decadent 2 hour tea. You decide! read more

Me and Family came today to celebrate Mothers Day for my mom. I had made about 5 different reservations just to get to today. I had made a reservation for today at 3:00 pm. I had even emailed before hand to ask them about dairy free options for my sister. When we arrived there wasn't a table seating ready for us. Once we sat down we order our food and asked about the dairy free options. We were told that they didn't have anything and weren't prepared for the dairy free options. We were told by a lady assuming she was a manager that since we didn't make a reservation they couldn't accommodate my sister. We're pretty upset since I've had this reservation for about a month. Once we did get our food, our scones were stone cold and just weren't up to the standards that we have received from this place before. read more

This place is so adorable. My friends and I have already been here twice! Every time you come back there are different pastries to try which makes you want to come back more. The teas are amazing and I dream about the crème brûlée tea all the time. If I lived close enough to stop by and get it every day I would. I would always recommend getting the grand tea just to try everything. You do not leave hungry I'll tell you that much. It's the perfect portion size for two people and we always have to take stuff home. My favorite is always the tea sandwiches. I love that you can always just stop by and take some tea to go. The only downside is the service. The girls are really nice and sweet there but I just wish they would come around more often to ask what we needed. We we really needed more cream and sugar and after waiting 15 minutes for someone to come by we just went up to the counter to ask for more. Especially when you're drinking so much tea with a lot of people the cream and sugar goes fast. So ask for extras! We will be coming back again! read more

My first visit to the tea house was very nice. It was just my daughter and me. We made reservations, everything was fine, the server was professional and organized. The tea and food was nice and it was a good experience. My second visit was for a birthday party that my daughter had been invited to. The party was for eight girls. The host of the party was running a few minutes late so several girls arrived before the birthday girl was there. The woman who greeted us was dressed sloppy and acted like she didn't understand we were there for a party. She seated the three girls who had arrived and gave them menus as if they were supposed to order. This was a pre-booked party. Then she came over to the parents who were just waiting by the door and asked us how we were going to pay. Again, this was a pre-booked, already planned birthday party. She also kept telling the parents that we could leave, that "the girls are in good hands". The girls were confused about what they were supposed to do. They didn't understand if they were supposed to order from the menus or not. It was just all disorganized and odd. read more

This was a very authentic English tearoom experience, down to the fact that their scones were big circular biscuits rather than the triangular pastries we typically call scones in the U.S. (I have visited the UK twice.) Everything was delicious and there were several menu options to customize your tea package with different teas and different types of sandwiches. The decor was also very cute with an Alice in Wonderland/Victorian theme. The servers were very friendly and even offered my friend and I complimentary champagne, wine, or mimosas since we had a long wait for our food. Definitely will go back and would go more often if I lived closer! read more

The ambiance is perfect, and the room is beautifully decorated. The food was very good, especially that quiche with lots of vegetables and cheese. The tea cooled off too quickly, but was otherwise quite good. The teapots and plates were so pretty; my Mom wanted to sneak the rose teapot home with us ! This is a late review from our visit in August 2023. This place is totally out of the norm for me but we reserved and went just to try something different and I can honestly say we were quite impressed and not disappointed at all. I'm not your frilly fragile little lady who wears pearls and big hats I'm quite the opposite but yet I love tea and felt comfortable in the relaxing environment. The staff was on point! They were extremely kind and attentive. The scones were large the sandwiches were awesome the quiche was tasty and all the other pastries just delicious we were served so much we had to take a to-go box. Went to the Dollhouse and had a very enjoyable time. The food presentation came out on an old fashioned wheeled tea cart and was just lovely. I had cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches for the first time ever and they were flavorful and crunchy. I also had the egg salad sandwiches and they didn't disappoint. This is a lovely idea but lacks authenticity. On a good note, the place is quiet and you can have a conversation with the rest of your party. The China is very pretty and the food is presented nicely. An excellent selection of teas and brewed perfectly. However, apart from the sandwiches which did taste fresh, the food is lacking in freshness. The scones are very dry and heavy and the other sweets looked as if they were made yesterday. Our waitress, who was also the greeter, was pleasant but the only other staff member we saw had no interaction with customers. The room is large and the tables spaced well apart leaving a lot of empty floor space which doesn't create a friendly tea room atmosphere. With no table cloths and no rugs on the wood floor, it seems a little bare. It would be nice to hear "thank you for coming" or other such sentiment on leaving. The lack of interaction or appreciation from staff, and the quality of the food left our party disappointed. read more

i'm excited to see a tea room in Seguin. a friend and I visited and was immediately impressed with the size of the venue. I'll start with the cons. we were not greeted properly. the served yelled from the back room "sit where you want. We waited 10 minutes before being acknowledged. we had to ask for plates, napkins, flatware. she dropped the dishes twice while we were there. it would have been lovely to have apprri music playing in the background. The scones were cold and dry. what we did enjoy was the two options we selected for tea. Both were right temperature and had a delightful taste. The size of the venue will come in handy as the tea room grows with popularity. read more
