I like the happy hours from 5-7 weekdays. You have to fight for a table here. It gets pretty crazy. This is the only time I can remember getting full off of sushi. Good drinks. Okay service. I am a huge sushi enthusiast and this place feels like the walmart of sushi. Their sushi lacks presentation and zing, but the regular dishes are good. They have some new rolls and I like it - I think there is one called Naruto something roll. read more

I wish I had more time to shop here! I love that it's an outdoor shopping center. The h&m is pretty big so that's definitely a thumbs up. We got drinks at "The Steeping Leaf" which turned out pretty good (the berry smoothie and the matcha smoothie). The Apple store is very spacious with many associates available. Nearby is a Neiman Marcus which includes Chanel, Prada, Gucci and Saint Laurent. Looked like a small collection compared to other locations I've been to. Overall, I had a great shopping experience and would definitely return. read more

What a wonderful outdoor mall! I love The Domain because it's very nicely spread out and doesn't seem crammed. There's ample parking available for free, but come early on the weekends because the place does get crowded. Lots of high-end shops and department stores, but don't let those pricey places scare you away, there's something for everyone here. While they do have several sit-down restaurants, sometimes you wanna grab and eat on-the-go and I haven't found any places like that at The Domain. Even if you're not in the shopping mood, it's a great place to walk around outside on a beautiful day, window shop, and people watch. read more

I have to agree with the person who noted that most people giving low-star reviews are essentially bitter that they can't afford to shop in the stores on the Neiman-side. I lived in Houston one summer as a college student. Then I moved to Austin. The Domain came to town and I said "Finally, Austin is now superior to Houston in all aspects." I was sick of driving three hours just to get to a Neiman Marcus or to have my Tiffany jewlery polished (it's just the silver junk, not anything fancy), so yes, I was grateful for the Domain's emergence. By the way, they do sell jewelry in Tiffany and shoes and clothes in Neiman that are less expensive than an iPhone, so if you're complaining that "I only come here for the Apple store because all the other stores are too expensive," then your argument is rather baseless. It's just a matter of how you choose to spend your money. read more

ore than a small city, for me it is a city with more places than I have time to visit. WIth some Very high end anchor tenants you could drop a lot of bucks quickly, if you shop in those places, however there is plenty for everyone and it is REALLY GINORMOUS. It's a nice shopping center, don't get me wrong, and it is now home to a number of essential stores (Dick's Sporting Goods, the Apple Store, Banana Republic). And it is fun to walk around, as there are wide sidewalks and plenty of places to sit, and even live music on occasion. But there's something about the vibe here that rubs me the wrong way and makes me want to shop and get out. It's a little too trendy for the sake of being trendy. A little too button up. In short, it doesn't feel all that Austiny. Rather, the Domain feels like it would be right at home in Plano or Grapevine. It's got that upscale, suburban vibe where everything is a little too artificial. In other words, it's a good place to visit, but I would not want to stay. read more

Good shopping plus a really nice place to take a walk and relax. I picked up a cup of delicious tea from The Steeping Room (see my separate review) and just outside from there is a nice outdoor area under some beautiful trees where you can enjoy live music. read more

It's a fairly nice shopping place and you probably won't see all its problem on a few visits. It takes time to know what you're looking at. Not really a mall at all. More like a strip mall. I don't like the dirtyness of the outside chairs or children's play items. Those things need to be cleaned and the little kid play areas are disgusting and need to be cleaned. There isn't really any security so watch out for pickpocketing and pan handlers. It really makes the place seem gross when I see pickpockets/beggars inside and begging at the exits. They need to get those people out of there. It's a shopping mall not a welfare office. read more

Had some great stores, but seriously.. get the stick out of your ass guys. I like to be greeted when I walk into a store.. not ignored the entire time Im there. The only person that helped me out.. This place is what arboretum used to be. Best value can be be found during happy hours. The only shopping I have done here is at dicks sporting goods. California kitchen, cur wine bar, kona grill are some of my regular places to eat at the domain. read more

Looking at this shopping center as an outsider is as good as it gets its very hip and trendy they have high end stores but they also have stores that fit your budget like forever 21. You can come and get a coffee and walk around. It think this shopping place fits every budget and its another glorified pocket I love here at Austin. read more

So clean and shiny a welcome break from the other grungy kids infested shopping centers and everything you could possibly need is here.

Love this shopping center and the best part is they offer shuttle service which worked out great with me being pregnant at the time.

I was very disappointed when I arrived at the domain. First of all, all the stores are way too expensive and eclectic to normally shop at. The parking is horrible, the layout is very confusing, as well. It's a nice place to walk around, but not to shop. If you are looking for a simple mall with a collection of stores you can find anything at, then stay clear of the domain. The domain only attends to a very specific crowd that love shopping at places like sur la table and papyrus. read more

I love the Domain! What's not to love...I live here and shop here. The location has easy access North and to Downtown Austin. It has a wide variety of shopping as well as dining. It continues to grow and add more and more! It has street parking as well as a convenient parking garage. Security is always visible which is nice because you know someone is around if you need them. On the weekends they have live music in the evenings and frequently host events. I can't say enough good things about the Domain. read more

The mall has zero respect for residents. The lawn blower starts at 6:30 am so if you enjoy sleep forget it. Saturday's and Sunday's they don't start until around 7:30 am so that's a treat to get to sleep in. Just unfortunate they don't really value the work, shop, live concept.... I go to the domain all the time. Eat live love here. It gets a little crowded, but it's always clean and there's tons to do. Great shopping options here and all in a pretty area. It's been done well. Can't do much about the crowds so that's my only complain I guess! I live right by the domain so it couldn't be more convenient to come for gift shopping or even to just get out of the house for a bit. Love shopping here! I go at least once a month. Each store I have been to (nearly all of them) has great helpful staff. It's a very pretty outdoor mall. Much better than other outlet type malls I have been to. I am in love with the dillards and macys here. I find better deals on nice clothing and shoes at these stores than I do at JCPenny! If you love to shop its the best place in Austin to shop. they have all the shops, restaurants and bars you need. They have many stores from high-end retailers to lower ones. I love the Domain as it reminds me when I use to live in San Diego (Little Italy Neighborhood). So much to do, see, shop, and hang with friends at any time. Great place to be and socialize. The only drawback, I know it's an Austin thing, but the dogs is a bit too much lately. Places are starting to smell like a Pet Store and most dog owners have no control of their dogs. I come to shop and/or eat and the last thing I need is a dog coming at me licking my leg, jumping at me, or the place smelling like a pet store. I like to enjoy my food without the dog odor. Great that Austin is Smoke-Free. Now to move toward Dog-Free would be a please. Don't get me wrong, I love dogs. Was a dog owner for years. After losing my last dog, I just decided no more pets for me. It's too hard. read more
