We have been wanting to try this place for awhile so glad we finally did. The restaurant is bright and spacious with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options. We ordered and immediately noticed that the place was full of people with numbers on their tables and no food, so we were prepared for a wait. We definitely did wait. It took about 20 minutes to get our food after we ordered. We were in no hurry, so it wasn't really a huge deal. We both ordered bowls. I got a chicken kofta bowl with rice, hummus, and cucumbers. My boyfriend got the lamb kofta bowl with rice, baba ganoush and salad. When our food arrived, the lamb came out with my sides and the chicken came out with my boyfriend's sides. It's an easy fix as we just swapped koftas, but this really should not have happened. Our first impression was slow service and orders not correct, so it was not the best start. The food was delicious, though. We both enjoyed our koftas. In fact, I would order the chicken again and again. The hummus had the best texture. The salad was exceptional. After our concert at the Yuengling Center ended around 10:15 pm, we were looking for a late dinner spot and came across The Dough Show. We called ahead and ordered the Chicken Shawarma Bowl and the Chicken Kofta Bowl. When we reached the restaurant, our to-go order was ready in about 5-10 minutes. At home, we enjoyed the bowls along with sides of Baba Ghanoush, Hummus, Salad, and Coleslaw. The chicken in both bowls was flavorful, cooked perfectly, and the sides paired well with the meal. This was a fun unique dining experience! My mom and I came here prior to going to a Mosi laser light show and picked this restaurant due it's proximity and rating. The lady who took our order was very helpful in terms of making recommendations and explaining what certain dishes were and what was included. She also helped us get some items on the side and split our payment. My only criticism is the soda machine was out of order and could not provide 2-3 sodas. Also, we had the chicken shawarma feteer lacked flavor. They gave us a sauce but it was tiny little container. We were excited to try the fateer. The vegetarian option was described as "mushrooms". When I asked for a mushroom fateer, I was told they don't have just mushrooms as an option. (Ok, then why is it labeled mushrooms?) I love mushrooms so I asked for extra along with the other veggies. BIG MISTAKE. They are not fresh mushrooms! In my opinion if you don't use fresh mushrooms- WHY BOTHER? Canned mushrooms are gross and slimy. And all the tomatoes and mushrooms made it soggy. Disappointing experience. read more

I had tried this spot in their original location in Orlando and this one maintains the same great standards! I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is authentic fiteer (pies) straight from Egypt! I do like how this location is more spacious compared to the Orlando one, and has plenty of tables and space both indoors and outdoors. They also have a student discount of 10% off if you are a USF student. I had the cheese pie and it was delicious! Filled with cheese, green peppers, olives, and tomatoes. It's great fresh, but even leftovers still tasted great when heated up. If you haven't had Egyptian fiteer before, you definitely need to try out this spot. They have an outdoor seating area that is covered . The place had a nice scent inside of it that wasn't overbearing but didn't have you smelling like food either. We stopped into the Tampa Dough Show this week, and I'm glad we did. We got the Mixed Shawarma Feteer and the Dubai Feteer. First off, I think they're missing a trick not using the tagline, Feteer, Egyptian for Pizza," but at any rate, I preferred the beef to the chicken shawarma. The Dubai feteer was phenomenal and frankly even more delicious the next day. Inside is pistachio cream and Nutella. There's no chunks of pistachio or shredded phyllo. I was a little disappointed with that. Perhaps an idea for the future? But both of the Feteer were not as exciting as watching their Fatari, which I now know is the Egyptian equivalent of a Pizzaiolo. He was amazing. Ali, the owner came over to check on us persoBally. We had a fun experience trying this unique shot. We went with a group and tried a bit of everything. The savory feteer was basically like a quesadilla. We tried the chicken and it was good. The mixed grill platter was very good, and we all agreed the ground lamb was the best meat. The falafel was good, but not something I'd order again. It tasted almost like quesadilla, but it is better than quesadilla because the skin was multi-layer, thin and crispy. The filling was full of cheese, beef and chicken shawarma. If you have been thinking about trying this place you definitely should! It is an experience. It was fun watching them prepare the feteers and trying this Egyptian style of pizza. Everything was flavorful and the portions were large so plan on sharing with a friend. I was thankful for Ali who helped us navigate some of the items on the menu that we were not familiar with. Ordered 2 beef wraps - a little messy, but it was very delicious. It was grilled, saucy, with veggies and beef. It took I think like 15-20 min for it to grill which felt a little long considering the size of the wraps. It was also $9 per wrap which, again, felt like a little much considering what we ate. What an absolute joke. You can't order the Feteer on the touchscreen menus by the front of the store. You have to wait in line. So I did. I waited behind a woman who decided to have a long chat with the cashier about his name, where he was from, and whatever else came to mind, while he just answered everything like they were hanging out and there wasn't a huge, growing line behind her. Then, once it was finally my turn and I ordered, I was told it would be a 40-50 minute wait for the food. I'll give it another shot in the future with hopes they get their shit together, but today was one of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant where I didn't even get to eat the food.
