Went to Drag Brunch and it was amazing! The drag queen was stellar, she really owned the space, and lived up to the bougie Drake hotel vibe. The staff at the Drake are incredibly lovely, and were able to attend to our needs despite the choas! Food was delicious. Will definitely go back!

Lovely experience staying here - the details are on point! The Drake knows how to design a space and everything from the lobby to the bar to the hallway to the bathrooms was whimsical, modern, and colorful in an intentional way. We stayed in the modern wing and the rooms were good sizes with beautiful finishes and a clean, well designed bathroom. Everyone working at the hotel was very kind and helpful. You absolutely have to stop by the hotel bar one evening. The bartender is awesome and extremely knowledgeable about what he does! The Drake is also located in one of the best neighborhoods of Toronto. There are so many cute restaurants, wine bars, coffee shops, and thrift stores nearby.

First time trying high tea! They only offer it on Sundays and it was pretty affordable compared to others in the city at $45/person It may not look like a lot of food but we were both stuffed when we finished. Favourite was the jerk chicken sandwich. It a cute place inside and there was live music playing. We were seated quite close to the tables beside us which wasn't a great experience for us as it felt cramped. Overall a good first experience for high tea

Went here for a friend's birthday brunch, and it was a great experience! The hotel has immaculate and fun vibes, which can be noticed right away. We were seated on their heated enclosed patio, which was much appreciated during the winter month. Smoked salmon eggs Benny was delicious, and the potatoes were well seasoned. The server was well organized and attentive, especially given that we were a large group.

Came here for a Sunday bachelorette boozy brunch and it didn't disappoint! Food- high tea towers filled with savory, scones and sweet at the top. Accompanied by tea (various variety of flavors to select from) and bottomless mimosas if you would like to opt in for! The server did a great job catering to the table, organized and informative. Made great recommendations and was friendly! I would definitely come back with a group of girls or family or even a date!

Went with a group of 4 for a Bachelorette and it was definitely a great location to start off our night! When we said what we were celebrating we got a free round of champagne to start, and shots from the server before we left which was awesome! Food: Appetizer - We got the spinach dip. It was so small for the price we paid.... It came with about 5 crackers to go with a very small thin dish of dip. Not worth it in my opinion. Entree- Got the burger and fries and man... there was sooo much fries. Definitely the better value since had food to spare. After our dinner they told us the space was turning into a club vibe, and there was also a place downstairs to dance. Unfortunately we had plans elsewhere, or would have been a great spot to check out. Especially since we were already in, so we wouldn't need to wait in line in the cold. Would come again for another special event.

We are on a group trip and just stumbled upon the Drake hotel! We were looking for our bus to the CNN Tower for our tour and wallah! The hostess was very nice and welcoming and that was refreshing because the UBER drivers in Toronto are the worst their attitudes stink! This place is really nice as shown in the photos. The food came and everyone was pleasantly pleased except for me because my order was wrong I ordered The Drake Benny but don't like poached eggs but they immediately changed it. They place is really nice and there was a drag show going on right inside the hotel! Check them out!

Had a quick bite before a concert at the underground and the goat cheese crostini was to die for- it had arugula, pomegranate, sunflower seeds, balsamic, juicy fresh figs and goat cheese on sourdough bread. I also go the Carmel coconut latte and it was sweet but not overly so. The server was really friendly and we got our food pretty quickly. We were seated upstairs and it was a little cold but more private than downstairs.

Y-U-M You don't understand how in-love I was with this. It looks simple, but no... The food is great. Considering it's also a hotel, you'd think the food is the least of their focus... No, this was amazing.. Slept like a baby after. Also, I'd recommend getting one of their cocktails! 4.4/5

First time tasting the outdoor menu (is that even what it is?) well we got like 3 different menus and ordered from the happy hour menu of apps. The vibe was great, but oh my gosh our poor server was HUSTLING and the patio was full. She told us there were only 2 servers that day. (It was a Monday or Tuesday) Anyway, to the food and drinks, drinks could've been better, we got dirty martinis but mine had a little too much vermouth averagely enjoyable. The bowl of olives we ordered helped. Im waiting to rave about the lamb sticks?! Omg delicious. Also the shrimp and fancy fries. So good. 4 apps shared between two. Always the way to go. I'll definitly recommend, the chairs outside weren't comfy though. I sat on the bench right next to my friend.

Hands down the most flavorful lamb i ever had in my life. I asked for steak sauce and they didn't have any. Nonetheless i did not need it. Full of flavor. Any sauce would do this original platter no justice.

I love this place! Not being a Toronto native, I was in the hands of a very good friend of mine and I asked her to show me some great patio spots. This is such a treat! The vibe is fantastic - chic boho casual fun all in one! We had the aperol spritz to start under the recommendation of the server but we both didn't enjoy it too much but it was popular with lots of people. Just not our kind of drink (we prefer negronis..) We shared few plates including the Watermelons ceviche and truffle fries. Sooo good! The watermelon was very juicy and tasty and combined perfectly with the raw tuna. The seaweed chips were divine too. Wish there was a couple more pieces though. Truffle fries. Do I need to say more??

Roger's Stadium (Blue Jays), CN Tower and convention center were all in walking distance. I actually arrived early but my status was recognized and my room was ready. Staff were very friendly and responsive throughout my stay. I was upgraded to a one bedroom which was welcomed. The room was large and comfortable. Better than the family's last stay in SoCal. The only room issue i had was the location of the in room safe. It was on the top shelf of the closet and the closet door blocked the safe door from opening fully. The other issue was 1 out of 3 elevators was offline the entire stay. It did make the waits a little longer. On the second floor was a very small gym but it did have a multifunction weight gym and cardio equipment. A water dispenser was located here. The heated indoor pool and spa was in the room next door. Breakfast was decent with a rotating menu over my stay. Scrambled eggs, omelettes, pork or turkey sausages, egg bites, seasoned potatoes, etc were some of the hot offerings. Cereals, breads and prepackaged yogurts were some of the cold items. They had both regular and oat milk which was nice. One note was that you have to provide your name and room before being admitted. There was a good amount of seating and was never crowded. In the evening the bar was open. Would come back and stay here again.

They especially enjoyed looking out the large window at the convention center, CN Tower and Lake Ontario. It was also nice having the extra (1.5) bathroom. The beds were very comfortable to sleep on and the housekeeping staff was almost invisible (a good thing). Since we got club level, it was convenient to grab food and snacks in the club lounge. Quite kid friendly, although with toddlers we were a bit self-conscious of our kids being too loud and messy. You can imagine my terror when my 18 month old threw a cup of milk on the lounge carpet. Luckily, the lounge staff is wonderful and welcoming and were very understanding of this mishap. The pool is very nice and heated. A little less picturesque than the St. Regis pool (which is located on a high floor) and smaller than the Shangri-La pool but still very nice. There are other amenities that are good for kids such as a free treasure hunt, complete with a prize at the end. Ritz Kids also has other paid activities that we did not do like baking classes, in-room camping, movie nights and family picnics. The hotel itself is conveniently located near the CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium, train museum and Rogers Centre. Most of these venues are within 10 minutes walking distance. I think it is also near the underground PATH, that connects many of Toronto's downtown buildings so you can avoid walking outside if so desired. Overall a great luxurious and family friendly hotel in downtown Toronto. Great for families visiting harborfront, CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium or Rogers Center. My only minor gripe is that the lobby is not particularly impressive.

The hotel itself has Amazing customer service, great amenities, and an Amazing soft bed which I was looking forward too. Issue: The game was at 3pm and it is currently midnight as I write this review. The stadium lights are still on and shinning brightly through. Before booking, I looked up reddits and different posts that said 11pm is when the lights normally turn off. But at 11pm the stadium turned on either a loud vacuum or fan of some sort (and it has been on for the past hour).(( UPDATE: turns out it's Leaf blowers. TONs of employees using leaf blowers throughout the stadium to remove trash.)) (((2nd noise update: 330am-7am more loud machines, they are now power washing the seats/floors throughout the stadium, plus noise from employees chatting while working)). The hotel should at least provide some transpency and warn guests about the field doing maintenance because I would have rather saved a thousand+ dollars by just going to the game itself and picking a different room knowing we'd be getting a get a good night's rest. Maybe the hotel could provide sleeping masks since they cannot install decent floor to ceiling blackout curtains. Or how about providing earplugs? Either way... started off at 3 stars. now at 1 star experience. So if you or your toddlers are light sleepers this room is not for you. Also this room includes 2 high stools which i used to prop up against the bed for my wiggling sleeping toddler to not fall off as neither beds are near a wall.
