What a find! A great restaurant in an amazing location in Fort Pierce. We searched Yelp, which led…read moreus to the Island Beach Bar and Restaurant. It's adjacent to the beach. With the beach erosion, you had to walk around to reach the beach. We sat outside as it was a beautiful day. There are several long picnic tables you can sit at, so we grabbed one. The food was really good. My son had the burger - he said it was probably the best burger he has ever had!! I had one of their lunch specials: grilled cheese and bacon - it was great. Of the 8 of us, each had something different, and there were no complaints. Service was excellent. Very attentive and kind throughout our visit. We did tend to stay longer than usual as the drinks were flowing. Thankfully, we were there during the week, so it wasn't crowded. I highly recommend this restaurant. I am so glad we found it and will certainly be back when I am back for a visit.

Ambiance: Beachfront restaurant (well, sort of beachfront as…read morea Beach in this area is closed off for a major rebuilding process) it's your typical surfer, beachcomber, swimmer type restaurant that you'll find in most oceanfront areas. Weatherford wood walls, outside tables under an awning. Inside tables are also available, although, why anyone would choose an inside table when you have a front row seat to the ocean is beyond me. Interestingly,, they have a few swing tables that you can rock back-and-forth while you eat. Not sure how many people will choose those "moving'" tables but, they're an interesting idea nonetheless. Service: I was provided with my choice of table. (I chose the swinging tables (I just had to try The experience of swinging while eating - which was actually pretty pleasant).I was seated immediately upon my arrival. My server whose name was Cynthia whose name tag said Helga (don't ask) served me quickly and with a smile. She came by several times to check on my needs but was never an overpowering presence. Couldn't ask for anything more with a server. Be warned, (which my server by the way did warn me about.), They charge an automatic 18% gratuity on the bill. Not a problem in my case as a service was excellent. The food: I ordered the mushroom and brie omelette. It came with a side of potatoes and I requested a biscuit. The was your typical omelette the plus being the tomatoes were super fresh but could've had more brie. If potatoes were combined with peppers and onions and we're nice and crispy of friends just the way they should be). Unfortunately they were out of biscuits (even though they have a biscuits and gravy dish). How you run out of SKU Ott's on a Saturday morning is beyond me. My tea was your standard black tea (they did not have steamed milk) served with honey. Interestingly, they didn't have a decent size cup so I was provided with 2 cups and two teabags. The bottom line: As with all my reviews, my (Customer so what) would I return? This restaurant is not in my top 10 but, if the beach was reopened and I wanted an oceanfront dining experience this could be a pretty good place to visit. The service was excellent. The food pretty good and the atmosphere great.

Our server Jenn particularly nice and very helpful. Made meal a lot of fun. Loved the food. In truth, we filled up completely off the appetizer menu. Recommended Spinach Dip even better than advertised with fresh chips. Fried Calamari as good as any. Bangin' Shrimp just outstanding with perfect amount of breading and great sauce Tuna Poke Bowl was a gorgeous and delicious meal by itself. Finished off with delicious Key Lime Pie as required by law in Florida. Lots of outdoor seating and fun divey vibe. And I'm sure when we go back soon the entrees will be awesome. They looked wonderful.

I only write this to offer suggestions as to how I think the lobster club can be made even better than it is. I had it today. Plenty of lobster. My suggestion is to change the roll to more of a potato-type roll. The brioche roll cracks apart and doesn't hold up. I always have to eat the sandwich with a knife and fork. Also, I wind up pulling out the unripened tomato slices...they are unappealing and have no taste. You cannot go wrong with smaller Compari tomatoes as they are always ripe and juicy. Just 2 cents from a frequent flyer at 12A. I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys fresh seafood.

Beer & Wine I…read morehappened upon Vine & Barely as a result of popping into an adjoining business and having the luck of parking in front of V&B. As it was a Friday night, they had some live music which caught my attention, so I popped in to have a look. As the name implies, they serve Wine and Craft beers, I'm not much of a beer guy, so most of my review will be about the wine side of things. I grabbed a seat at the smallish bar and ha look at the offerings - the wine selection was definitely not the usual suspects (a pet peeve) and after a few minutes I was sort of not sure of what I wanted. The young lady working the bar stepped in and asked me what I like- I explained my usual taste profile - medto heavy body and on the spicier side of things and she recommended a Pinot Noir, which would I not have normally thought of - she merely said "you have to try this". She was right on the money with that recommendation. The wine was fabulous and the music was going on so I sat back and had a look around: cozy place with a good number of tables scattered around - I would think this is more of a date place or a night out with good friends. Definitely not a beer and shot vibe here. The beer side of the house is definitely a decent choice as well - if you like beer. They have 20-some beers available on tap or canned. Like the wine, they can walk you into a perfect choice if you can describe what you like. A couple came up to where I was sitting and ordered a charcuterie board, so I had a look at the small sampling of nosh items. I was considering the same charcuterie board but it turned out to be larger than expected when they finished making it for the folks that ordered it so I went for a smaller bite. The food offerings are all centered on meats / cheeses / pretzels and some desserts. They do not have full on entrees- so plan accordingly. All in all, a great spot- I have been living here for 3.5 years and yet, this place had escaped my attention. Not anymore! Definitely will put it into the rotation. Parking lot available

The business is run by Italians Silvia and Franco and on our night, assisted by grandson Alessandro. In the day it is a well stocked wine retail establishment with additional specialty items curated from Italy. But they offer a dining experience for up to 12 at 6:30pm The menu is set by Chef Franco and he will shop the finest local ingredients that day. Some of the shelf stable items are sourced from Italy like flour and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The entire experience feels as if you are visiting a good friend in Italy. We normally eat early and fast. At this experience we savored each course and paired it with wines suggested by Silvia and others in our party who had an interest in wine. Every bite was wonderful. We finished at 9:30pm and felt perfectly satisfied. The next morning my wife and I both noticed no reflux. To me that is the hallmark of high quality food and wine well prepared and enjoyed despite eating later than usual. Treat yourselves for a very special occasion.

Great mixture of select wine and foods from Italy. Sylvia was so nice and informative; offering wine to pair with our orders along with detailed explanations of Italian cooking and courtier. We were the only ones dining for lunch so we had a lovely time. The food parade started with the Zucchini Blossom (filled with mozzarella cheese) - OMG was that delicious. On to the next tapa was the Summer Capri - OMG 2 with an 18yo balsamic. Next up was the Pizza Alta Pisana - hands down THE BEST pizza we've EVER had. Made with the same 72hr dough as the Focaccia and with grated parmigiana cheese instead of mozzarella. Half with capers and drizzled with EVOO. Sylvia suggested Moscato for my sweet tooth queen and me a cab blend that was hearty without the sulfates. For the grand finale, we had homemade Profiteroles with cream and dark chocolate. Grand slam! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FINE ESTABLISHMENT for lunch or dinner. Call for reservations Thank you Franco and Sylvia - we'll see you soon
