Great menu, great food, great service! We were so glad to find this cute place for brunch. There were great coffee and hot chocolate and smoothie options. Everything that we ordered was delicious and to be honest, we appreciated that the portions weren't oversized. So many restaurants think that putting more on your plate is the answer. These portions were just right and allowed us to leave no leftovers. All the food was great. Yet, the best part of the restaurant was the service. While one person took our order, at least three or four servers stopped by to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. They definitely deserve an award for teamwork. Way to go! read more

LOVE this spot! Every-time I drove past it in the weekend mornings I saw a line of loyal customers and now I understand why. They have a consistent base of waiting customers because everything they do is perfection. From the friendly, fast and efficient wait staff that operates differently than most places where there no set server and they just all constantly rotate, making service speedy! I want to give them 3.5 stars but it's not an option. Stopped in for breakfast and ordered my go-to: eggs over medium. They came out over easy. I always order over medium not just because I love them that way, but because it's a small test of kitchen experience--whether it's an experienced chef or a line cook. Bacon and sausage were okay, but the creamy grits were the standout--rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Best grits in town, I believe! We got our food in under 7 minutes after ordering, which was impressive. My wife ordered her eggs over medium too, and hers also came out over easy. She got the turkey bacon, which she enjoyed. Overall, it was a decent breakfast, but the eggs weren't cook correctly. What really made the visit was the service and cleanliness. Our server was full of positive energy and was incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant was spotless, which added to the overall pleasant experience and atmosphere. One thing to note, credit card fees are added to the bill if using a credit card. While the charge was disclosed, I personally feel businesses should absorb this cost rather than pass it on to customers. Credit card companies have charged merchants these fees since credit cards were first introduced, and in most industries outside of food service, merchants don't pass them along to the customer. I've eaten out quite a bit and only one place has ever nailed over medium eggs perfectly for me--so I'll give them some grace. If the kitchen tightens up on cooking eggs to order, this place could easily be a solid 4+. read more

Visited twice in one week. Definitely worth every penny. The food is fresh and the service is top notch. I made an order to go the first visit and it was pretty awesome. The second visit was with my sister and our friend who were visiting from out of town and that was EVEN BETTER if that can be imagined. The food was flavorful and cooked with love. They ordered shrimp and grits which are normally savory but they said they were a little salty but still tasted good. I ordered grits and eggs in a bowl with the strips of bacon on the side. Last time I felt the bacon was too overwhelming in my grits bowl but everyone is different. Their refreshers are the best I've had in any restaurant. Their staff are ALL attentive and friendly. It feels like a whole new world. The vibe in the building is very laid back and great for those breakfast conversations. This is one of the first places I have ever been to eat where I didn't need a doggy bag and that says ALOT! I will absolutely return here and this will be my cheat meal every couple of months! This restaurant will definitely become one of our permanent brunch spots in Fort Pierce! My husband and I were pleasantly impressed with the good efficient service and high quality food. My breakfast wrap was absolutely delicious with the perfect amount of cheese and flavor to the chorizo. The home fries were also not overly fried and with a good amount of salt. What I especially appreciated were the decent prices and good portion sizes. All in all with two entrees and coffees, my husband and I spent about $35, something I think is unheard of nowadays. I ordered a hamburger with fries. My friend ordered a Shrimp burger with a side salad. My hamburger was average. My friend said his Shrimp burger had a unique taste and texture. It would be an acquired taste. His salad was fine. The staff was pleasant and attentive. Having workmen walk through the dining room carrying tools while diners are eating doesn't promote your business. How disgraceful of anyone to do that. She then took zero accountability when i merely pointing out perhaps that could have been handled differently. Regardless of the food being great there should be decorum from a business owner to all customers even ones with nothing nice to say. Can't wait to see the reply to this. Also i went to the place a week after her argument with me and had to return the burned, watered down coffee twice. Sunrise city calf is one of our go to restaurants. It's just a short walk from the city Marina so the location is perfect for us. I found sunrise when Peggy was sleeping in and we have been back again and again and again. I'm now working on how to figure out can I get the food delivered to the boat. Peggy would just look at me and say you're the delivery person solve the problem pick up my breakfast and bring it back. They have everything you can imagine but me being a guy I tend to overlook some things piggy on the other hand joined me this morning for breakfast and had one of their smoothies. A whole New World is opened up they got quite a selection. I had the meat lovers omelette. It was perfect again and again. Staff is always awesome and accommodating. Went to Sunrise City Café yesterday by chance. I love serendipity and it did not disappoint. We needed to get a new tire at St. Lucie Tire and Battery (good experience as well) and had some time to waste while we were waiting for our tire to be delivered and then installed. We took a walk along Orange Avenue. Lorenzo's was still closed (the smells of garlic and sauce cooking were unbelievable- love Lorenzo's food) so we continued onward. We next came across Sunrise City Café. We walked into Sunrise City a few years back and it was crowded and cramped so we quickly left. To me, it looks like they've expanded. Although the Cafe was very busy, it had a great vibe and an open feeling. The staff is great. All smiles. We ordered "loaded" lattes. They were fun, very tasty and very sweet. The coffee could have been hotter but it was still good. My wife ordered the French toast and I had the Chicken and Waffles. Both very good and both very reasonably priced. For some reason, the Chicken and Waffles were served on two plates, so the photo I'm posting is only half the serving. Pretty awesome for $9.99.
