Brewery in Ft. Pierce with Key West Vibes. Very chill, kid and dog friendly for those that have tiny fuman and furry 4 legged friends. I came here with some friends to do The Office Trivia and although we lost we had lots of fun. Beers are cold and refreshing and if you are curious, you are allowed to sample a taste before your order. Staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable,so if you are unfamiliar with something that they have they will educate you. There's no in house kitchen for food, so you'd have to go outside to the parking lot to order food on the food truck. Overall for my first visit, this place did not disappoint. Located right across from the small airport in Fort Pierce is this cool lil place! Well, it's not small - it's two huge rooms with the main room consisting of their huge bar, plenty of tables/chairs and bar stools, and a peek behind the brewing scenes as you can see the large operation from here! What stands out the most is the relaxed and chill atmosphere, mostly due to their very nice staff! Everyone is super helpful, approachable, and just downright nice. Nice goes a long way in my book. This is a family friendly brewery, and it's not unusual for people to bring their kids along too. They have many family events held at the brewery too so be sure to keep up with their social media if these events are of interest. The brewery is also very dog friendly! They host Halloween doggie and human costume contests, as well as themed trivia. We most recently attended their Horror trivia evening on a Sunday. The trivia host guy was great, the place was hoppin', and service was super friendly and efficient as always! They offer NA beer which is appreciated by some in our party, and they also have a food truck outside in case you're looking for a meal or snack. Popped in here for a brew and a bite after a day of house hunting. I've been to the IBC down in the Keys and was pleasantly surprised to discover their "younger, cooler, and more fun" sister location in Ft Pierce. We were warmly greeted upon entry, and immediately offered some samples to try as we were shown to a table. Very nice! They have a wide assortment of beers as well as cocktails from which to choose. The place is also very dog friendly, and quite a few pooches and their humans were enjoying the cool, air-conditioned comfort. As an added bonus, there is a fantastic food truck parked outside, and we availed ourselves of some loaded french fries and onion rings. Muy delicioso! This place is great! It's not often that I start reviews that way, but this place deserves it. They definitely cater to people who have kids; on the weekends there's a bounce house, yard games, and even face painting at times! They offer a huge variety as far as drinks go. Mixed drinks, frozen drinks, and beer...the best part? You can mix and match them all in a flight! The key lime frozen marg was an absolute winner! (Get it and thank me later). I was in Fort Pierce for some summer golf, and decided to try out happy hour at Islamorada Brewery & Distillery. What a FUN PLACE! Immediately, the bartender asked if we had been there before. She gave us a few samples of beer and mixed drink cocktails to try out. I felt so welcomed and ordered the BOGO HH draft beer...they even let me switch up my 2nd beer. We tried out the food truck outside and...this sounds weird...but, it might have been the best quesadilla I've ever had. Perfect bar food. I'd go back just for the food truck. While we were there, they let us know it was music bingo night. We stayed for a round and it was a blast! I appreciated that we were allowed to cheat a bit, and it wasn't too too serious. Overall, this place is just great. So much to try out - drinks, food & activities. We're looking forward to another visit next time we're in the area. And their Islamorada location is on my must-try list now! PS I find the Crooked Palm canned vodka sodas at our local Total Wine in South Florida, so I can stock up. It has been a good while since I visited Islamorada Beer Company. I have been to both this location in Ft Pierce and also the one that is on the way to the Keys from Miami. I actually like the location near the Keys better. But, this location is nice. Big bar, bright colors and a lot of merchandise. Good beer, great people. Went on a Saturday night for comedy night. Free tix, free pint. I'm in. The beers are on the lighter side which make sense. Made for a good day on the boat. Our waitress affectionately known as. 'Pumpkin' whipped us a concoction that we loved. Comedy night...ehhh. We were towards the entrance in back. Acoustics were really bad. Then add in a comedian not speaking American English dialect and was so hard to hear/understand..but Im sure she was funny. This place is super fun. There are lots of games to play, snacks to munch on, people to talk to, and of course beers to drink! One of my favorite things there is sipping on an ice cold brew and watching ChiveTV. So hilarious! I'm typically more of an IPA and dark brew beer drinker, but they have lots of fruited and lighter style beers. Went to Islamorada Brewery last night (Saturday) for the first time. When we walked in, the girl at front, Chelsea, greeted us and asked if we've been there before. I told her no. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and welcoming and offered for us to sample some of the drinks they have on draft. She explained how everything works at the Brewery and all the different games they have to play. We ordered some drinks and sat down at a table. Chelsea came by the table and did a spirits sample with us, which was pretty cool. Chelsea came over multiple times to check on us. Chelsea made us feel welcomed and made me want to come back again, especially for one of their events. This place is extremely dog friendly as well as kid friendly, which is a plus. This is a cool brewery and tasting room located off the beaten path in Fort Pierce. They are located next to the airport with plenty of parking. I've never been on a weekend due to schedules but during the week, it's a nice place to sample some tropical inspired beers. The inside has a warehouse feel with high ceilings and the large bar is bright and spacious. There is a gift shop in the same open area. A game room with some fun pub style games for both adults and children is adjacent to the tasting room. Bartenders are friendly every time we visit and are great at suggesting beers. The beer menu is varied and most on the menu are delicious. These beers are a bit lighter than the heavier stouts and IPAs we have in the northeast. Channel Marker Session was my favorite but they push their Sandbar Sunday and the Islamorada as well. Definitely worth the 2 mile detour off of US-1. Tip: they offer a "share your sandbar" where you can buy a beer for a future visitor. You can be specific with a name or generalize for a veteran or police officer or just a grandparent. Welcome to my 132nd brewery visit. Islamorada Beer Company looks to be a great stop so far. Easy access with lots of parking. The tasting room is large with high ceilings and painted a bright yellow which works overall. I walked in at about 5pm on a Friday and there were about 15 people inside and it seemed to be quite the friendly place. They also have a big window that looks out on the BIG fermenters in the brew area. No, this is not a little operation. IBC is also the only brewery I've been to that had a beer cat. Yep, a little cat was wandering around the tasting room. It even came over, jumped up on the chair next to me and demanded attention. Then it bit me...sigh. I have a way with animals. And women, just ask SWPFTD. IBC had nine beers on tap for me and I went with a flight of six. No Tanlines! That's right I have no tanlines. Well I mean I have the beer No Tanlines but I usually personally have tanlines. This is a citrus wheat ale had a nice lime aroma and flavor to it. It has a nice clean flavor and finishes with a bit of bready flavor on the tongue. Channel Marker session IPA is a very light IPA. Light on the nose and light on the tongue. Nice hop flavor at the end but not overpoweringly bitter. Definitely a nice session IPA. Ah, a coconut keylime ale, the No Wake Zone. This had a heap ton of coconut aroma and flavor. Nice and light, refreshing but flavorful. This was a very nice beer. Local Color is a hibiscus keylime ale. More keylime? It's like I'm in Florida or something. Another really nice beer! I could find both the hisbiscus and key lime on the nose and they both worked well in the flavor. Fruit beers are not always my thing but this was really good. SWPFTD would like this one and I might take a bottle home for her. Bud N' Mary's blueberry ale. I actually have a weakness for blueberries and a good blueberry ale as well. I could definitely smell and taste blueberry but the finish on this left a lot to be desired. It tasted like I was chewing on the stem or something. This one was a no for me. Last taster here, the Snake Creek oatmeal stout. This had Farley light flavor as stouts go but was actually one of my favorites here. Very smooth, very predictable but very good. I will definitely need to stop back in a IBC when I can, and bring SWPFTD with me. All in all it's just a fun location with great beers.
