We were disappointed with our room. There were cobwebs everywhere, woodwork was dirty, the refrigerator wasn't cold enough on max to chill drinks let alone food, fruit flies came out of the garbage disposal when I turned on the water, the AC was very nice but we had no idea how to shut it off. I'm still trying to figure out the door from the bathroom to the outside? (Yes, it had locks, but still) If handicap accessibility is important to you, this isn't the place. To be fair, we didn't hear any noise or think the other guests were suspect as other reviews have stated. We didn't see any mice or evidence of mice as recent reviews said. We chose not to speak to the office about our concerns based on how other reviews described their interactions.

Pretty decent, although it's easy for bugs to sneak into the room if you leave the front door open too long. The room was clean, beds/pillows were surprisingly very comfortable, and the area in general was very quiet. In fact, there's not much to do in this little town...there's only 1 bar down the street and it closes at 10pm -_- This is just one of those Inn's where you can catch a few Zzz's before hitting the road again. Don't expect anything out of this place.

We stayed here for a night and it was actually pretty good. The room was clean and remodeled. The bathroom was clean and remodeled too. The staff at the office was very nice and friendly and the check in and out process was quick and easy. Overall a great place to stay for a night or two.

I stopped here for one night after spending the day at Crater Lake. I visited Crater Lake in January so I used the South Entrance, which was around 1.5 hour drive. What a pleasant surprise! It was quite possibly the cleanest hotel room I've ever stayed in and definitely had the most comfortable bed/pillows/towels. It was like having my own little apartment at someone's home. The water pressure and temperature in the shower was the best I've ever had. The breakfast was awesome and included lots of types of yogurt, fruit, bagels and bread, spreads, and prepackaged pastries. They had an impressive amount of coffee creamers and tea types. It is remote and I was a little nervous at first, as I was traveling alone, but I was fine. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is on the highway and near the train tracks, so there is a bit of noise from that until around 10pm-ish. Also, I had Room 8, which is next to the ice machine room, so I heard that rumble a few times. Be aware that there are very few restaurant options nearby (meaning one, really) so if you have hopes for a ton of choices open late, eat before you come. The staff was so nice and checking in/out was a breeze. I'll probably never be back, but it was really nice to stay even one night.

It had a medium size tv which we had to get the manager to show us how to turn on because the dish remote was not paired with the tv, no phone in the room to call the front desk and the phone number listed online did not work so we had to walk downstairs to talk to the manager. we are in our early 70's and going up/down stairs was difficult, a finger size lotion and soap, but full size Walmart shampoo and conditioner, no breakfast and no coffee offered but tea in the lobby, $185 a night was high in was not refundable so we had to stay there. we don't recommend.

I got a room here because it was close to Crater Lake and I had already been driving 10 hours and the City of Bend was pretty much sold out (I found out later that there was a big Summer Music Festival in downtown). There only a couple of places to stay in Chemult. This is okay if you are desperate for a place to stay when you can't stay anywhere else or you are on a "budget". Of course, it is summer season and this room (yeah that's it) was just under $100. The bed was comfy and the fridge worked and there was a small coffee maker. The room interior was a bit funky. The closet was super tiny. Maybe a bigger hanging hook would have worked. Wi-Fi was offered per the website but I didn't use nor do I remember asking for a password. Just a note: make sure you close the window in the bathroom when you use it or shower the back window literally backs up to Pilot Gas Station next door and a lot of people park there to run into the store to pick up snacks.

The beds were comfortable and the coverings were a bit faded due to the numerous washing of them. The air conditioning works well and there was a fan to circulate the air when the windows were open instead. The free internet was extremely slow but I do believe it's because of availability to the town and the number of people using it. The room is quiet and you do not hear the people on either side of us which was awesome. This motel is not a fancy updated place but you are not paying that price. This is a quaint older motel reasonably priced close enough to go to Crater Lake National Park.

The unit I stayed in was generally clean, neat, and tidy for first impressions. Naturally the place is quite dated and could do with a Birthday. But at prices that low for perhaps a passers by, I'm not gonna be very picky. I'm very pleased at least they had a nice toilet, a shower with good water pressure and lovely hot water... I think the bathroom may have had some work done recently as a few things looked surprisingly newish. Room also came with bar fridge and microwave. A dressing table with a huge mirror, which is welcoming. Along with the nice vanity and mirrors in the bathroom. In another corner was a table with two chairs, along with a dripulator coffee machine. We had ground coffee stashed away in luggage so that was a welcoming thing. Other things are a digital clock by the bed, a chest of draws, a flat screen TV with some cable channels I'm sure. Not sure what but I'm sure there is. One downside is there's no air con for those summer months. But they do provide a fan for all those warm blooded humans!! There's also some type of heather in the wall that looked fairly old, which I didn't touch. So God only knows whether it worked or not. Could be worth a risk in winter. The bed was okay. The mattress was quite hard which I didn't mind. Thin blanket and quilt were used, so keep that in mind if you freeze at night. Pillows were also quite thin. Overall was clean. Honestly, I would say do it if you're a passersby and don't intend to stay more than a day or so. It'll do you justice. Plus on top of that there's a gas station next door which have a Subway attached and a convenience store. So food and goods literally meters away from your room... an added bonus!!

Usually, I pass through when I'm driving to Portland, as I do often take Hwy 97 through K-Falls and rejoin I-5 via Hwy 58. It is actually one mile shorter that way, y'know! And there's not so much of the twistin' and turnin' through the canyons alongside triple-trailer trucks. And I swear I get better gas mileage on the long gradual climbs and descents. But for our roadtrip this year, we decided to spend a few days east of the Cascades, so I made it a top priority to book a room here. I got Room 2, double occupancy, for $43 including the tax. It was pretty adorable inside, as expected. The main room had an L-shaped layout with a queen bed in the main side, and a full bed in the other. A TV with DishNet swung around on a wall-mounted arm to allow viewing from one bed or the other. There was a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker in the room. It had all the modern conveniences minus the internet....which was no biggie because this was a vacation from the internet, too! Everything was immaculately clean, and the beds were comfortable. For larger groups traveling together, some units are adjoined like a double suite. The bathroom was a little funny. The tub is kinda wedged into the acute angle of the A-frame, so if you wanna take a shower, you hafta sit. But they provide a convenient stool. Next time, I will be sure to pick up some deli food from the K-Falls Fred Meyer to zap in the microwave. That would make it easy to avoid dinner at Melita's!

This place has character - stay here while you can - tourist traffic is down with the high gas prices and who knows how long they'll stay open. Inexpensive too - less than $40 for two people. There is also an RV park out back, for those that have 'em. ANOTHER VISIT: September, 2008 - Place has new owners, price is several dollars higher. Still a good place to stay.
