Reservation took place July 2024 fora family of 4 in an A-Frame cabin. The town, Chemult is not touristy appealing, but it is near, 30 minutes or so, to Crater Lake and Diamond Lake. The Inn's customer service was A+ ! Our A-Frame has all the basic necessities: stove, AC, refrigerator, Wi-Fi, utensils. The Eagle Crater lake Inn is in the very remote town of Chemult, Oregon. The motel is older and could definitely use some updating. However, I had a nice stay as the room was clean, warm, and had many nice amenities such as new, fluffy towels, phone outlets by on the nightstands, and ample sample sizes of shampoo, lotion, soaps and even shower caps. The updated heating and air conditioning system was easy to regulate. The fella at the front desk was great and helpful and made sure the snow was cleared off the parking area and my walking area was clear. I would definitely stay again. read more

This is a delightful surprise 25 to 30 miles from Crater lake. We stayed in the A frame unit. It was clean, wifi, TV, powerful AC/ heat with kitchen and easily assessible to the highway. Drinks were offered upon arrival and breakfast in the morning. read more

This place is a shithole and the people running it are rude and only care about money. Rooms are tiny, the room we had the door wasn't secure, there's no coffee in the room and only one TV even though we had a "suite" ( if you'd call it that) with two rooms. This is a nice motel. Nothing fancy. The rooms where clean and have air conditioning and a refrigerator. Breakfast isn't anything to write home about but it's a motel. Given limited accommodation choices in this area, we were a bit leery about staying at the Eagle Crater Lake Inn but this really is a hidden gem. It was reasonably priced and exceptionally clean and well air conditioned. The bedding was more comfortable than I've had in name brand hotels and made for an excellent nights sleep after many hours of travel. Chris, the owner, was incredibly accommodating of our late arrival and even helped with our luggage, cleaned our car windows, and offered a light breakfast and travel tips for our next day trip to Crater Lake. We were disappointed with our room. There were cobwebs everywhere, woodwork was dirty, the refrigerator wasn't cold enough on max to chill drinks let alone food, fruit flies came out of the garbage disposal when I turned on the water, the AC was very nice but we had no idea how to shut it off. I'm still trying to figure out the door from the bathroom to the outside? (Yes, it had locks, but still) If handicap accessibility is important to you, this isn't the place. To be fair, we didn't hear any noise or think the other guests were suspect as other reviews have stated. We didn't see any mice or evidence of mice as recent reviews said. Pretty decent, although it's easy for bugs to sneak into the room if you leave the front door open too long. The room was clean, beds/pillows were surprisingly very comfortable, and the area in general was very quiet. In fact, there's not much to do in this little town...there's only 1 bar down the street and it closes at 10pm -_- This is just one of those Inn's where you can catch a few Zzz's before hitting the road again. #1. MICE MICE MICE! Our Chalet was infested with mice which appeared shortly after arrival. They were not too kok ushy mice. When we told the front desk about the mice they got Very defensive and just kept saying that people previously hadn't said anything. Well we didn't really care about them. We were not even really complaining. Just an FYI, you have MICE! No apology or any solution to the problem. Terrible customer service. #2. I paid for a multi bedroom Chalet with 6 beds. Their were 3 of us. They still charged an extra $25 per night for the 3rd person. Very strange. #3. Beds and couches were very uncomfortable. The couches and floors were very much stained and dirty. We did not feel comfortable sitting on them. #4. Customer service. They told us the Chalet's were not part of the Inn so was not their problem. They would let the owners know??? Hmmm weird. Great place! The woman (Amy) was very pleasant and helpful. I informed her that I'd be arriving a little after 12PM and she said she'd hold a room for us and to give her a call when you arrived, so, she could open the door. The room was already heated and very clean. It was a wonderful stay here. My battery lost its charge in the freezing night. I asked Amy if someone could jump me and a man named David came to help me. He was very patient, while I tried to start my car - it took about 15 minutes. This is the best place to stay, if you are heading to Crater Lake, or, just staying for the night! 5 read more

IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP WITH RODENTS, STAY HERE! We had a mouse infestation within the 1st hour of being in our room. Told the staff about the mouse situation, to which the response was "fine, go somewhere else". We were told "this never happens" and the staff did not try to accommodate or fix the situation at all. Additionally, the area is very unsettling and felt dangerous, as other guests seemed to be abusing drugs and not safe. Would not recommend staying in this town. read more

I stopped here for one night after spending the day at Crater Lake. I visited Crater Lake in January so I used the South Entrance, which was around 1.5 hour drive. What a pleasant surprise! It was quite possibly the cleanest hotel room I've ever stayed in and definitely had the most comfortable bed/pillows/towels. It was like having my own little apartment at someone's home. The water pressure and temperature in the shower was the best I've ever had. The breakfast was awesome and included lots of types of yogurt, fruit, bagels and bread, spreads, and prepackaged pastries. They had an impressive amount of coffee creamers and tea types. It is remote and I was a little nervous at first, as I was traveling alone, but I was fine. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is on the highway and near the train tracks, so there is a bit of noise from that until around 10pm-ish. Also, I had Room 8, which is next to the ice machine room, so I heard that rumble a few times. Be aware that there are very few restaurant options nearby (meaning one, really) so if you have hopes for a ton of choices open late, eat before you come. The staff was so nice and checking in/out was a breeze. I'll probably never be back, but it was really nice to stay even one night. read more

Let me preface this by saying before staying here, we spent 2 nights at the Hilton and Executive tower in Portland. This place blew it away. Extremely clean, well maintained, small town hotel at an extremely fair rate. We stopped here on our way to Crater Lake, and could not have been happier. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff, amazing breakfast at the Chalet Restaurant right down the road, and not to mention, the owner gave me this star from an old American Flag, to thank me for my service. Strongly recommend, and will absolutely stay here next time we come down. read more

Place is perfectly fine for a one to two night stay if you are passing through town or staying at Crater Lake. Free wifi, but spotty, although you need to remember the area is quite remote. It's right off a highway so you will hear some traffic noise, but that dies down later in the night into the early morning. Pretty average room and decent for a stopover. When you first drive up it doesn't seem so bad from the outside but once you step out of the car there are thousands of dead bugs scattered along the ground. When you get inside there are also dead bugs in the lights and live flies flying around the room. The room overall is an ok clean but it's not the cleanest. The bathroom has a door that leads to the out i side which was left unlocked so you need to make sure it's locked at night and the shower had hair on the walls and on the floor which did not belong to anyone in our family. When you go out the next day there are moths that cover the windows and walls outside of the inn. It's a small town so there was limited places to eat: a gas station, a subway, and a mexican food truck (which I highly recommend). Lastly, they charged us extra for our 15 year old to bd an adult because he was going to use more water. The breakfast was also close due to covid but we didn't find out until we got there. I gave a two star review because the people were very kind and the people in town are also really nice. read more

The beds were comfortable, two rooms, very clean, remodeled bathroom, hot coffee and bagels in the morning, and they showed my kiddos all about the fire truck. I would NOT stay at this hotel! My son and his girlfriend attempted to stay at this hotel. They were already checked into their room and situated when they got a knock on the door. It was the lady from the front desk, she was telling them to leave. They had a service dog with them, she said the service dog was not allowed. My son contacted me with the problem in hopes I could talk to her and resolve it. It was very late at nite and he didn't want to drive anymore. I was very nice when telling her they must have the service dog with them at all times, including staying in the room. She said, no the dog must stay in the car. We went back and forth a few times, then she hung up on me. I tried calling back several times, she would pick up the phone, then hang up. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. In the mean time, my son called, said she made them leave. She broke a civil law but refusing service to them because of a service dog. Plus the hotel room was very dirty, as were the sheets and bathroom. There also looked to be blood on the walls. Very run down. I would not recommend this hotel. read more

The rooms have recently been refurbished and have everything we think a leisure traveler needs - a good bed with good pillows, a clean updated bathroom, a microwave and refrigerator, wifi, and parking at your door.
