Best bar around, no doubt. My fiancé and I hang here with our massive dog all the time everyone is amazing. They even bring a big bowl of water out for him when it's hot. This is absolutely my dogs favorite place in the neighborhood. I literally can't think of one negative about this place. The only "negatives" that other reviewers have mentioned are the reasons that you can still get a proper strong drink, a great beer on tap for less than 5 bucks, and you don't have to put up with insufferable yuppies who just bought a 900sf house down the block for 475k. Their happy hour prices area still old Portland low, which rules. God I miss old Portland...ugh. I LOVE that the bartenders don't S the D of every entitled sack of flesh who walks in the door. You want a fantastic bar with awesome service, strong drinks, and great prices? Be cool! Show a little respect for the folks pouring your drink, tip like your mama taught you some manners, and don't be a total butthole. Anyone who wrote a negative word about the bartenders is a total butthole and I guarantee it with more gusto than Tom Peterson. Come here if you want to drink and hang, play pool, or sing karaoke.. I'm from out of town and was just stopping by, I love the ambience, the regulars are friendly and the bartenders are really great at keeping up service. Not to mention karaoke is the best! Hardly anyone was actually paying attention to the singers, but I honestly prefer that! read more

They have the best and friendliest bartenders in town. This gem is a true local dive of Portland. My friends and I often go here for drinks and pool. They have karaoke most nights on the other side of the room and it's set up with a little stage. If you're a fan of karaoke this may be a good spot for it. They also have a small rotating tap list of great microbrews and a large selection of bottled beers. Can't go wrong with that. read more

This is the best bar in Lents hands down. All of the bartenders are amazing, personable and have honestly become family. Kudos to the owner for the tenure with bartenders/staff. It's hard to keep employees for any amount of time period but in the service industry it speaks volumes about the establishment. Thank goodness there will be a great community spot in Lents, finally! The transformation from Riley's to the Eagle Eye is indescribeable - you'll have to see it to believe it. The space is comfortable, clean, and inviting - and the karaoke set-up will be epic. I agree with Cora - once the renovations are complete, easily 5-stars. The Eagle Eye Tavern is one of my favorite places in all of Portland. The vibe is cool and unpretentious, the drinks are delicious, and the staff is always friendly. Eagle Eye is a great place to become a regular, and bartender, Anessa, always plans out ways to make each visit special. (Adult coloring, anyone? She has coloring sheets and crayons!) This is a bar where an effort is made to remember your name, even if you are an occasional patron. (Although, you and your friends will most likely want to become regulars!) read more

I feel like this is the crown jewel of "Lents Town Center," and has achieved the redevelopment potential that it deserves. I love the building and the location. I haven't been able to drop in here very many times. It's kinda hard to bar hop when you're a parent, but when I can get a child-free evening Eagle Eye is pretty high up on the priorities list. Awesome karaoke nights! They have a pretty good selection of local spirits and some good locals on tap. Great place to meet up with friends. Two pool tables and plenty of friendly patrons that will challenge you to a game. Karaoke on Friday and Saturday. The all female staff are friendly and funny (I was reading other reviews and one person said that a male bartender skipped their songs on the jukebox... There is no male bartender, so....) Try the cheese plate. Great selection of beers. Even organic ones. I also read a review about homophobic patrons. Um, there are homophobes everywhere. And I meet up with my gay, lesbian, and straight friends there. I have never heard of any of them being mistreated or hated on there...just the opposite. read more

This place is awesome! My boyfriend and I come here at least once a week to meet up with friend or just grab a drink the two of us. The severs are so friendly and the atmosphere is really relaxed. They always have great local beers on tap and a full bar. They have karaoke nights, open mic nights, pool and other games. They have great bar food and a Great Authentic Mexican place next door that you can bring food over from. If you live in the area or are passing through definitely a must to try out! read more

Went to this spot when my mom was in town and it was actually awesome. We got 6 shots of patron and 2 beers and it was about 60$ so I would say it was pretty reasonable. It's a nice chill spot down the street from my house, I would say check it out for sure. Love the vibe. read more

It was a rather empty dive bar in late afternoon. Fun, divey place to meet friends for cheap beer. By 8:30, it didn't feel safe at all. Fights break out here all the time. Very homophobic male crowd. Two men sitting next to me at the bar were drinking, pounding their fists on the bar, talking about recent fights they've been in... Not safe environment. I made sure someone walked me to my car and stayed there until I drove away. read more

I have only stopped in here a handful of times so far and every time has been pleasant. The staff has been consistently friendly, the karaoke is entertaining and I am very thankful to have a place close to home to watch The Walking Dead. So far there is only 1 annoying dude that lets anyone who will listen know how much better he could write and direct the show.... it's big enough tho you can easily find a peaceful spot to watch it. They have one hd tv and a projector pointed at a wall. There is always room for improvement I'm not going to point out all the little crap they could do to make it better. I love this place. The definition of a great neighborhood dive. The bartenders are what make the place. They rock! If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't come in almost everyday. I want to give it 3.5. Which I know is rough since it's just opening. I have been here a few times. There are a couple pool tables, a juke box and a nintendo 360. The drink selection is good and the bartenders are nice. The atmosphere right now is stark. And I left early last time because I had just put 5bux in the juke box and the bartender started bumping my songs because it was his birthday and the songs were "too sad". I'm a bit bitter about that. But I may go back. Or just return to it's bar cousin, the Lion's Eye which is a nice cozy hangout. read more

Great beer selection. The renovation is great much better looking than it was before. It was supper cold inside but it was day one of snowpacolips 2013 and the place was mostly empty. the bathroom still needs some major help it's just a step above peeing in a bucket. Liquor selection was really sad. We were helped durring a shift change and the 1st bartender was great but the 2nd one was really slow on asking if we wanted another beer and we were sitting at the bar. My husband and I were at the Eagle Eye couple weeks ago on a Friday around 9:30 PM. You walked into the bar and all you smelled were either paint fumes or chemical smells. Their was hardly no one in the bar, it took about 5 min before bartender walked over to our table. By that time the smell was to strong and we decided to leave. Needless to say the bar did not impress us. At least when it was Riley's the bartender always noticed you when you arrived. Not sure if we will re visit or not at this time. read more
