Very pleasantly surprised! I had driven by here over the last few months, peaking in seeing remodeling going on, but couldn't imagine it was really my scene. The other night I thought "what the hell" and stopped in. Loved it! The inside I would say is modern in decor. There is a computerized juke box, a pool table, pin ball machine, plus a few others I didn't pay close attention to. Staff here were warm and welcoming. They offer numerous local beers and liquors, which our bartender had great suggestions. Friday and Saturday have kareoke in the evenings, but we were here on a Monday... and I would describe it as "chill." Definitely glad I stopped and will be back.

Dive bar is putting it nicely...if you're just here for the booze than I guess they've got that covered.

The bar tenders are rude and the kj is incompetent at best, it is possibly one of the worst places I have visited in Portland

The space is so cozy and inviting, drinks are strong and very fair priced. The bartender Nick was so sweet and welcoming! My girlfriend and I just moved to this area and as a lesbian couple we have experienced some ... interesting... places and interactions in the clackamas area, seems to be more red than other parts of the portland metro, but this place is probably the best spot you can be as a member of the queer community. The outdoor patio is GORGEOUS, and the lighting inside is beautiful. Genuinely one of the best bar experiences I have had! As a woman, and as a lesbian, ive never felt so welcome and safe :) Big thank you to Nick for the warm welcome!!

I have been here a handful of times, but tonight will be my last. My peaceful and relaxing evening after work was ruined by an unidentifiable, aggressive "security guard." An African American guy dressed in all black with dreadlocks--wearing zero security began to harass me and speak to me in a completely rude tone and manner. This isn't the first time either. As I was parking he came over to me and rudely commented about how I parked incorrectly in the unstriped lot facing the wrong way. So I went and moved my car. Then later after I left the bar he began power-tripping while I spent 5 minutes wiping ash off my Lyft car before close. He then approached me and put his face near my window to start ranting and-said I cannot detail my car in the parking lot while 3 other people are smoking cigarettes right next to me. This was just after he was telling me how nice of a car I had and how nice I keep it. Meanwhile, he parked his own car illegally right next to the building. A couple nights after this I went outside to smoke my vape and just had a feeling he would approach me, I was correct! He asked me what I was doing? And asked me if I was coming back inside? I told him I was taking a smoke break and will be coming back inside thanks. 2 mins later he came back outside and asked me if I was waiting for a ride ? And said If I wasn't that I couldn't be outside smoking... (where everyone is smoking) so I chuckled and proceeded to walk over to my vehicle to remove my self before going off on him. I called my GF to tell her to fire up the Air Fryer to get dinner ready. He then approaches me again while I'm on my phone and has the audacity to tell me that if I'm not playing poker, drinking or actively in the bar he is going to have to ask me to leave. I told him I was on the phone and am coming back in. That's when I finally had enough of his harassment and I let him know it! I'm sure I'm not the only one who has exchanged words with this uneducated individual. All I have to say is I hope the owners see this post. I recommend you hire professional security who actually wears identifying uniforms and knows how to treat paying customers.

When Queen of Hearts changed over to Cadigan's Corner, the bikes motored on, but the characters remained. I only went one time, but the experience was intense and memorable, and included a server with a spirit-collecting sword, and a sign that said: "We are not responsible for women left unattended." Among other highlights. So when Old Gilbert took over the spot, I had small hopes, but one leery eye on the door. I've been in a good number of times now, and in comparison to its predecessors, it's fantastic. One generally feels pretty safe, and the flair for the dramatic is low. All in all, it's pretty bare bones. I'm waiting for it to fully develop its personality, but for now its theme to me is: cheap thrills, no frills.
