Worst customer service…read more Purchased 2 tickets in advance for a Friday show. Unfortunately we had a death in the family and was unable to attend. We called the theater Wednesday morning, hoping to either receive a refund or tickets to another day/show. We recieved no return phone call. We left multiple messages before we finally reached someone, because we called them. We even stopped in the theater on Thursday evening to try to speak with someone (while they had a show going on) and there was no one at the front desk or anywhere for the matter. Finally got a call the following week with the option to see a show THAT NIGHT.... mind you we both work full time.... because that was the "only option"... we had to pass. Now we're out of $50 Thanks for nothing. We won't ever return to your establishment.

My older sons who are currently enrolled at St Joseph High School, were well prepared for their studies due to the foundation laid by St Joseph Elementary.

Course: there are no fairways. The grass (where there was grass) is 100% crab grass. The fairways are not cut and there is no difference between rough and fairway. Most of the course was actually just Sand. The golf carts? A joke. I had to switch 3 different times and finally settled on a cart which wheels were almost falling off (that was best option. Cigarettes, trash, dip, and graffiti were all over the carts. Almost no signage to get you hole to hole and the only markers are trash cans with painted tee box numbers. I should have suspected when the course said THERE ARE NO TEE TIMES. And is cash only more or less. What a joke. Customer Service: After playing 18 holes in the worst conditions ever with no complaint. Spending tons of money in the "clubhouse" because of minimum on credit purchases, we were accosted by the grounds keeper. We simply forgot a pitching wedge on the 18th green, when we went back to get it the greens keeper DROVE out onto the course in a truck to yell/curse at us demanding we wait for someone to turn my club in. We promptly got the club and left. Regardless of skill level I would not recommend this course to anyone. For a cheap option for new golfers, The FDR course in Philadelphia has similar rates and is a much better option.

Fair enough, though the outgoing message on the day I called (July 5) said they were open and doing business all weekend for the 4th. The person on their social media (who I kind of feel is the same person who we saw the day we were there who I believe is the owner) said my message was on somebody's desk and I would get a call on Monday. I waited through Monday and into Tuesday before reaching out again via DM to say that I still had not heard back from my voicemail. They responded that they were very surprised that I hadn't gotten a message back because they were pretty sure everybody's messages got answered. After I reiterated that mine hadn't been answered, they didn't respond further. The irony at this point is that the amount of time going back-and-forth on DM to tell me that they don't answer questions on DM could've easily be used to answer questions. So I gave up on the kayaking and chose a different activity for my family. All this to say, my original very good feeling about such a beautiful place has now been replaced with a sour taste in my mouth because of very poor communication, which is a bummer.

We ordered a flight and a 16 oz wine slushee, which comes with a complimentary plastic to go cup. The slushee was a bit too sweet for me, but it was great given how sweltering it was outside. We ordered a hummus plate, which was supposed to come with an olive tapenade, according to the menu, but didn't. It was still good though!

"Godspell" has always been fun. Simple tunes carry a simple message of the gospel. It's been a theater staple since its May 1971 opening. Anyone who fancies him/herself a theater maven can sing along with the cast. (No, I didn't. My voice is on the Homeland Watch List as a WMD.) This then begs the question: Why do it again? Why see it again? Because Ted Wioncek III and co-artistic director Ed Corsi have done more with it than expected. It's still a story of love and obedience to a higher power, but in Eagle Theatre's re-envisioning it's a joyful celebration played out on a mash-up set that's part altar and part kid's oversized jungle gym beautifully lit between two banks of audience seating. Yeah, I was taken by the tech. The ensemble cast of 11 sings, dances and plays a variety of musical instruments, all counter-pointed by quips and contemporary banter that helps the show shed the ravages of time. I'm tempted to single out familiar Eagle faces, but that'd be unfair to those I don't name. Just know if you get there, somebody will catch your fancy and make your experience all the more thrilling for it. If you can get there on its last weekend, go for it. No, I don't work there, nor am related to or sleeping with anyone associated with the production. I just enjoyed the evening. read more

I can not say enough wonderful things about The Eagle Theatre in Hammonton, NJ. I discovered this theatre several years ago. The first performance I saw there was Hair and it was incredible! Since then I have been to several shows including, Urinetown, Tick Tick Boom, GlenGary GlenRoss, Next to Normal, Vagina Monologues, Piano Men, Beehive, The Graduate, Tribute to Tony Bennett, Comedy shows and more! I have nothing but great things to say about this place! The actors and employees are so welcoming and friendly! The fact that they have paired up with Sharrot Winery and have a wine lounge on site...makes it that much more fun! I am looking forward to going to the upcoming performances of Closer, Assassins, Bonnie and Clyde The Musical and more! We always have a fantastic time when we visit this theater. This past Saturday night I had the pleasure of attending an excellent production of GODSPELL at the EAGLE THEATRE, in Hammonton, NJ. This awesome production had a fresh and new adaptation of the classic play to fit in well with today's life atmosphere. The audience was filled with enthusiasm as the talented cast brought their energy to the stage with the stage in the round. You had to expect the unexpected with surprises abound! The spectacular voices of the cast are uplifting with the detailing every scene. The music couldn't be better. Congratulations to Director Ted Wioncek III and CO-Artistic Director ED CORSI. Bravo to all the Cast, a mighty job well done. Let your spirit lead you to THE EAGLE THEATRE and live to the music and words to DAY BY DAY. This play continues to ROCK for all ages. The Eagle has taken yet another cherished chestnut from the American theatre canon and made it their own. "Godspell" was dazzling: true to the original but laced with pop culture references that sparkled and delighted (how they successfully managed to balance Beyoncé and "Hunger Games" references with the play's deeply emotional core is a wonder). I saw it twice; worth every penny. There are reasons the Eagle is getting nominated for the prestigious Barrymore awards. Their stated mission is to redefine regional theatre "through innovation, enlightened production techniques and the development of eclectic theatrics," and they more than live up to it. Every single time. Next on their roster is "Rock of Ages." Can't wait to see how they render it. read more

My husband and I, plus 8 friends visited the Eagle Theatre for the first time yesterday to see Godspell. Wasn't sure what to expect, as most of us heard of "Godspell" but never actually saw it. We had a wonderful experience! First, the production was "top notch" and the actors were phenomenal, extremely talented. Their energy and enthusiasm was evident throughout. Second, the venue was awesome; easy to get to, parking was easy/close, small and comfortable...never knew this was so close to home (live in Tabernacle!). Performing "in the round" was great and allowed the audience to be "up close and personal". We loved it! Absolutely fantastic afternoon! We are looking ahead and planning another outing to the Eagle Theatre soon! read more

Saw the musical Civil War a few days ago, and cannot come up with enough superlatives! I believe the skill and talent would Easily rival anything on Broadway today. Fabulous performers with big, beautiful voices. Terrific musicians, wonderful staging. Just an unbelievably professional theatre company. The theatre itself is intimate, comfortable, and clean. Yesterday, I had the absolute pleasure of attending the matinee performance of "Godspell". You may think you've seen this show, but you haven't seen THIS show. The Eagle has brilliantly reinvented "Godspell" into a modern masterpiece. It is relevant, engaging and an interactive experience not to be missed! Last night I had a chance to catch a performance of John & Jen at the Eagle Theatre. Wow! So emotional. People in the audience were both laughing and crying. The singing voices of the two actors were amazing! I'm telling all of my friends and family to try and see one of the last two performances, tonight at 8:00 and tomorrow, at the 3:00 matinee. It's an old theater with a lot of charm and I'm glad to see it's been renovated and saved. One bummer is that concessions are limited to soda, water and some snacky junk food. You'll get a great view and sound from just about anywhere. If you're seeing a rock band, the first few floor seat rows to the side of stage may be too close to the speakers. They do have a bar within the theater with basic drinks. The venue is well-staffed with experienced help to ensure a smooth show.

Andrea has dedicated her entire life to ballet, but better yet she has dedicated herself to teaching children the very best practices. As Andrea's rehearsal assistant, I work with her very closely. I am constantly blown away by her knowledge of the body, the history of dance, her creative choreography, and her positive rapport with children. I have been a ballerina my whole life and have stepped foot in many other local studios over the years. Nothing I've seen elsewhere compares to the caliber of training the dancers at SJBS recieve. Her dancers not only shine onstage, but they reach a level of professionalism that is truly so rare for a local ballet school. The training at SJBS is on par with big name professional schools all over the country--I am saying this as someone who spent many years training at those professional schools. I feel lucky to teach dancers of all ages at SJBS. Aside from the wonderful training Andrea gives, I must mention the size of the beautiful studios in this school. Again, it is rare to see a local school with the quality of the marley floors SJBS offers, as well as the giant rehearsal spaces. SJBS is a special place. It is a school where I wish I received my training as a child.

This year, the same friend rented out the entire place including two sets by the house band for a milestone birthday celebration. I believe they have catering packages, but in this case, our friends supplied the food while the venue supplied the beverages and took care of cleaning up. The band really engages the audience with singalong parts, clapping, waving your hands in the air, etc. It was incredible fun; take a look at some of the pics: Note: the sound is superb but incredibly loud so don't forget to bring some hi-fidelity hearing protection.

At the end of the week, there is a performance where the children demonstrate their learning. It has always included an artist picture walk that tied into the theme. We are so impressed with the learning that occurs here. The staff is always energetic and friendly. There are programs during the school year and the facility is available to rent for parties. This is a wonderful place for students to learn.
