Worst customer service…read more Purchased 2 tickets in advance for a Friday show. Unfortunately we had a death in the family and was unable to attend. We called the theater Wednesday morning, hoping to either receive a refund or tickets to another day/show. We recieved no return phone call. We left multiple messages before we finally reached someone, because we called them. We even stopped in the theater on Thursday evening to try to speak with someone (while they had a show going on) and there was no one at the front desk or anywhere for the matter. Finally got a call the following week with the option to see a show THAT NIGHT.... mind you we both work full time.... because that was the "only option"... we had to pass. Now we're out of $50 Thanks for nothing. We won't ever return to your establishment.

Even just the emails they send, the tone is "annoyed." The are Ballet based, mostly, so they don't put much time into the students who aren't in Ballet classes. My final straw was (I gave them multiple chances over many issues) when my 9yr old came home and said her hip hop teacher wasn't attending their rehearsal or recital. Mind you it's a mandatory attendance for students and they have the recital on the same weekend, every year (Father's day weekend). When asked, the answer I was given was "I'm not firing him bc he's a performer." Never asked you to fire him just was wondering how does that come off to 8-9year olds that have worked so hard throughout the year just to be told he's got something better to do. There are sooo many better places in the area. Please don't give this lady your money...I promise you, you'll regret it.

A mixed drink with a great pour size, and a bottle of soda was $12 - which is cheaper than most venues considering it was a full bottle and we go to keep the cap and the mixed drink was large. We saw "The Carpenters", which I saw a while back at the Algonquin theater. I wanted to see the show again because it was so good, but this show was like listening to the B-side of a 45. I can't even tell you how disappointed I was that they didn't play many hits. She sang covers from other artists and not so popular hits. I personally found it strange the way the show began with the guy running the strand, coming on stage with a piece of paper talking, and then having us stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. I have no problems saying the Pledge of Allegiance, but I just found the whole thing odd. I've never gone to any other musical event or show where they had everyone stand up and say the Pledge of Allegiance prior to the event. I also had a rude person seating us. I thought I had bought center orchestra, but it turned out that I bought center tier and when I told him I just wanted to look at my phone to verify what I had purchased because I thought my tickets were wrong. He got nasty with me and told me that's what your ticket said that's what you bought and I told him to just give me a minute so I could just look it up on my phone to verify and it wasn't like he had anything else to do or he was seating anyone else I didn't ask him to wait with me. I understood that my tickets were for the tier, but before I climb the stairs to the top, I wanted to make sure that I got the correct tickets from Will call, but instead of just letting me be, he felt the need to argue with me when there was no argument to be had, and him finally walking away, saying whatever. Other than him all the other people working there were great. This was just one experience but normally I never have any problems there.

New theatre is alive and well in Philadelphia! The show and storytelling were not dramaturgically perfect, but as an audience member and artist, perfection for me always lays in the pursuit. The cast of artists PTC consistently assembles is top notch, and I can't wait to get out and see more of their season offerings. Thank you for bringing eclectic storytelling to our great city! I especially love the Yelp Elite perk of being invited on opening night. This evening marked two firsts for me. In the past this was a Yelp Elite Event for squad members only. This time we were invited individually and allowed a plus one. And much to my surprise my guest and I got front row seats. They usually have a nice little cocktail hour after the show that mostly consists of beer, wine, crudites and cheese boards. I was impressed to find some serious hor d'oeuvres this time around. Macaroni and cheese balls, chicken sliders, skewered beef tenderloin. All it was delicious. Wonderful experience.
