We stopped by later at night and the food was great. It was very packed and there was a line out of the door; yet, the staff was working very hard to keep up with both of the in house and door dash orders. However, there was this agitating, degrading voice in the corner... The manager "managed" to have nearly 40+ door dash orders stack up, and completely stopped the line from proceeding due to her not properly maintaining the flow of orders. When people approached concerning their order, she would shrug off the issue and continued to make the problem worse! She needs to work, as in workout, both literally, and to make sure her business is thriving rather than failing due to her laziness. Once again, I would like to applaud the staff; don't deal with this lady's crap. Really really good sandwich. The ingredients are high quality. The bread is great. The employees were friendly and hustling. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was during lunch the same employee was working on finishing the food with toppings and working the cash register which really created a slow down in service. But overall it was worth it. It is also one of the only places around that has a Chicago style Italian beef sandwich! Great job guys read more

1 Stars out of 5. The 1 stars are because most of the food had good flavor. But the service and attention to a special order was abysmal. Combine this with the fact that after it was brought to their attention, by phone twice, and in person once, not as much as a certificate to replace the two special order sandwiches was offered. We were told the general manager had been informed and he was going to reach out. They also gave us his phone number incase he missed us. After no response we finally called the number and left a message asking to be contacted about the issue. This catering was on May 19, 2025, and there has STILL been no contact from the establishment. The two special order sandwiches were for the groom no less, who has specific tastes, but loves their sandwiches when made to order. The two sandwiches in questions were supposed to be plain, with double chicken and no sauce. Instead the sauce was so thick that he, nor anyone else could eat them, leaving him (the groom) with no dinner at the rehearsal. Can you imagine how disappointing this is for the parents who are trying to make their childrens wedding as special as possible? On top of that, there were multiple pizzas ordered, and not one of them were sliced. It's a bit humiliating watching your guest's trying to tear pizzas into pieces with their hands, or resorting to trying to cut them with the plastic knives and forks provided. All we expected was some attempt to address the poor service provided for such a special event. We didn't expect a refund, but figured any reputable business that cared about the satisfaction of their customers would offer a gift certificate of some amount as a way to show their understanding and respect for their customers beyond inexcusable disappointing experience, since it was a direct result of their mistakes. Maybe a voucher for the two sandwiches they got wrong at a minimum? I'm 59 years old. This is my first review posted ever, but I feel I had to post this. We had also made multiple phone calls to the establishment to talk about a taylored catering order for a wedding party rehearsal, with no return call prior to making a trip to them in person. I guess I should have taken that as indication this was not a reputable business, but this was the establishment the bride and groom requested, so my husband and I made a special trip to Pickleman's in person. While there, we were treated very kind by a young man who I believe was a manager of some kind. So we felt it was just an oversight and we were looking forward to the catering experience. We even gave a personal cash tip for the young man's courteous attention. Then we gave another cash tip when we picked up the order. We understand that these are young people/employees doing most of the work, and mistakes will be made. And we don't harbor any ill feelings towards those employees. But management has no excuse. You use this experience as a teaching lesson for the younger employees and use your authority as management to make it right for the customer! read more

Pickleman's is a campus corner staple for pregame, postgame, and of course late night pizza or subs. We have been here several times, most recently for the Friday late night version. They move quickly, friendly, and with consistency. We ordered a pepperoni and jalapeño pizza and an Italian Club. The pizza crust is thin, could be a bit more crispy, but overall was really tasty with the right topping distribution. The Italian club had salami, capicola, pepperoni, ham, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, vinegar and oil, and Italian seasoning. The sandwich is toasted and when brought together and wrapped, it really marries all the elements and flavors. The sandwich is really delicious and just the right size for a single serving. They have a self service beverage machine like the movie theaters have - so it's a touch screen to choose from an array of options. read more

tldr: great food, great variety, great atmosphere, great staff. i met at picklemans with a friend of mine in late may and i had arrived early to check out the menu. there were just two guys working when i arrived (mason brascum and grant stenseng i believe) and we struck up a very casual and fluid conversation while we waited for my friend. the two of them ended up making great recommendations and overall made an awesome experience even more one of a kind. i intended on writing this when i got to the car but got caught up with something and have finally found the time to. i'll be back very soon! read more

Pickleman's is my top 2 pizza place and it's not #2. I discovered this gem while in college and I've been hooked ever since. It has the perfect location on campus corner and it stays open very late so it was always a great meal after a night of going to the bars. I often make trips to Norman just to get a box of cheese pizza from here! The flatness of the crust, the sauce and the cheese are perfecto! Last night the pickleman's security guard literally squared up to me (as a small young frail woman) as I was waiting for my pizza. He asked me what I got and I said pep pizz. He wouldn't believe me and wouldn't ask the workers or anything and proceeds to unzip his jacket and throws it on the ground and gets in my face and screams at me to "GET THE FUCK OUT" and it was the scariest moment of my life. First, Kudos for getting my food out in a decent time (roughly 12 min). I ordered the broccoli cheese soup (comes with small loaf of bread) and the Italian club sandwich. I wouldn't suggest getting a pizza because of how thin it was for nearly $10, it wasn't even 1/4 of an inch tall! The broccoli cheese soup tastes wonderful with the bread. You experience a flavorful combination of bread, broccoli, and, you guessed it, cheese. After only a couple light chews do the lettuce and cheese mix, forming a good, but admittedly not great mixture in your mouth. The sandwich is a whole different story. While looking all bread on the outside, the ingredients take up the insides. Although a juicy mess, the lettuce with the right amount of vinegar serves as a delicious complement to the scores of meat slices packed inside. Of course the food was close to outstanding, but the prices simply weren't worth it in my eyes. The sandwich was $7, which is somewhat acceptable but regardless steep for what was only around 8 inches long. But the soup is what struck me most. For 12 oz the bowl was less than $5, not giving me much to work with. Only come here if you're willing to spend an upwards of $15. The place really is gourmet. I tried Pickleman's for the second time with my family this week for lunch. They weren't too busy but ended up forgetting to make my sandwich, so I had to wait for them to finish my family's and other orders. While eating my sandwich, I found a hair in it . I don't know if I would call this a gourmet sub shop. It is a pretty average sub sandwich shop with an expensive price tag! We had two sandwiches (Italian and meatball) one drink and a bag of potato chips for just over $20 which seems a bit much! The sandwiches were nothing special, but I can say their slightly toasted rolls were tasty and the rosemary and olive potatoes chips are good, but for $1.69 a bag they should be!
