This is an excellent quick breakfast-lunch to-go cafe with nice lunch offerings like sandwiches, pot pies, rotisserie chickens as well as pastries, cookies (which are massive by the way), baked goods and more. Nice little cafe in Leadership Square downtown with a very friendly owner and decent food. They seem to have some good daily specials, though I went with the Croque Monsieur and Twice-baked Potato when I went. Sandwich was well done, especially with the browned cheese on top of the bread, but it was a little too rye for my taste (which was my fault because I didn't pay attention to the type of bread it had when I got it). Was still quite tasty even for a non-rye person like me. Twice baked potato was nice and soft, though not quite as strong a flavor as those I have made in the past. I also really appreciate that they have energy drinks here, which can be hard to find due to the lack of convenience stores in downtown OKC. It's like mom and pop were a diner and a fancy cafeteria who had a baby named Ground floor cafe. Breakfast is fantastic. They have an egg station that is very customizable, even to the extent you want your eggs cooked. The lunch specials are great deals, but I haven't been able to try one yet because they are loaded with carbs and dairy. Luckily they have options for those of us on a diet too. I've had the chicken Caesar wrap, which they load with their fabulous ceasar salad. And what's not to love about their rotisserie half chicken as well? The only reason this isn't a five star is because their prices are a little high, but it's prime real estate so it's not surprising. The best part about Ground Floor is that the staff is so kind and friendly. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and chat while your food is prepared. I take the tunnels from the court house on over to avoid traffic, which makes Ground Floor Cafe and easy and fast lunch. I've been here once a week since I've worked downtown. read more

I must be honest & let you know that my 5 star rating is for their oatmeal raisin cookie and their customer service. Many oatmeal raisin cookies tend to be bland but not the Ground Floor Cafe's! Their cookies tend to be crunchy on the edges, softer in the middle and nicely spicy. I posted a picture of one. This is my absolute favorite oatmeal raisin cookie! Whenever I take a work deposit to the Bank of America in Leadership Square, I always check the Ground Floor Café to see if it's my lucky day and they still have an oatmeal raisin cookie to reward me for walking over from mu office in Bricktown. Joy is correct that the smiling gentleman who works the cash register is one of the owners. He's a very nice man who enjoys playing poker, as does my husband, so we discuss the ups & downs of poker when I pop in. He knows I love their oatmeal raisin cookies and tells me to call 20 minutes before I come and they can bake more if they happen to be out. That's great customer service! I don't always know in advance when I might be over there plus it's better for my waistline if I don't get a cookie every single time! They also participate in the SpotOn customer loyalty rewards program. I forgot to use my cell phone app to get my Spot for visiting today. I currently have two Spots. Fifteen Spots are good for a free muffin or cookie so thirteen more for a free oatmeal raisin cookie! read more

Never disappoints!!! I have been working in Leadership Square since March now and the only thing more consistent than the traffic on the elevators is the quality and hospitality of the Ground Floor Cafe. The crew at Ground Floor Cafe know how to do it and do it good. Breakfast and lunch are always top notch. I am normally not a big breakfast person but they have got me hooked. It's a bad day if I don't get a chance to start it off with some eggs and all the fixins. They have a great selection for breakfast and lunch and I am always a satisfied customer. Not only is the food top notch, but the crew are truly gentlemen and the service they provide cannot be matched. I always feel right at home and look forward to seeing the guys and enjoying breakfast from the Ground Floor Cafe in the morning. If you are in or around Leadership square and are needing a good start to your day or looking for a place for lunch I would recommend this place to anyone. This is one of my favorite places to escape to on my lunch hour. This cafe hides away in Leadership Square's bright shiny courtyard which on sunny days melts the blues away. Everything on the menu is reasonably priced, and they have some unique lunchtime offerings like pot pie, cannoli and assorted sandwiches that are available immediately to eat there or on the go. Lovers of the caesar salad, you must go to here! Their house-made dressing is so fishy, so garlicky, it will make your toes curl. The Ground Floor Cafe is a solid breakfast and lunch joint located on the ground floor of Leadership Square. They have a daily lunch special (think meatloaf, chicken pot pie or chicken fried steak) along with typical sandwiches and soups. For breakfast, there are a lot of choices. They have an egg station that is like what you've seen at a buffet or hotel breakfast station. You can go with typical egg dishes, and they've got breakfast meats, biscuits and gravy. Basic breakfast stuff. My first visit, I went with a breakfast burrito. For $4.25 you can basically pick your ingredients. I went with eggs, cheese, red peppers, onions, potatoes, and sausage. They have other ingredients as well. The tortilla is large and steamed, so it's warm. But, I would have liked some time on a griddle to give the tortilla a little crispness. But, it was a large burrito and the eggs were cooked very well. Some places cook eggs far too long and they have no fluffiness left. Not Ground Floor. Disappointingly, the salsa served with the burrito is store bought. I'll get some hot sauce or something next time. The burrito is large and the ingredients are distributed well throughout the burrito. It's a solid breakfast. Everyone I encountered was very friendly. I'll absolutely return for breakfast and look forward to trying lunch. read more

Ground Floor is my go-to for a quick, delicious lunch. The chicken salad is amazing, one of the best I've had. I pair it with a Caesar salad for the lunch combo, which is one of the most affordable options in the downtown area. The food is really good, but the staff really make the place. I told the owner that I was bummed he hadn't had lasagna as the special in a while, so he added it to the menu for the next week just for me. That's amazing customer service! read more

This has been one of my go-to places for a quick lunch that I know will be good, but not sure that it will be anymore. My 2-star review is entirely based on the customer service I received. Everything I've eaten here so far has been great, although I tend to stick to what I like so have not ventured too far on the menu. My favorite thing to get for lunch is the half roasted chicken and Park Ave Salad combo. The Park Ave salad is greens topped with dried cranberries, candied pecans, blue cheese (I opt for parmesan) and a balsalmic dressing. The complaint I have is I was noticing that my salads were coming with just a bit too much of the toppings and dressing and very little salad mix to balance it out. With that being said, I made a mental note to ask for more "greens" and dressing on the side next time I ordered, which wasn't a problem the first 2 times I did just that. However, upon my third trip, one of the gentleman working made a remark like "Oh, so you're actually trying to get a WHOLE salad instead of half salad. I see what you're trying to do." I took a little offense to that since I wasn't trying to get anything free, but simply wanted more salad mix to balance out all the toppings. I laughed it off, but whatever. So today I went by there again for my usual, but this time instead of doing the combo, I opted to order a LARGE Park Ave salad and the half chicken separately. It was twice as costly this way, but I thought at least I'd have plenty of salad greens and wouldn't have to ask for "extra" greens like before. However, as the guy started to make the salad, he grabbed a small handful of greens and started to spread them around the bottom of the to-go container as if the goal was to simply line the bottom with a layer of greens. I was shocked as this almost seemed LESS than when I order the half salad/half chicken. SO, I asked if I could have just a little more greens to which he replied, "Oh, so what you ACTUALLY want is an EXTRA large salad." Mind you, this was a different gentleman this time. He kind of snickered and laughed when he said it, but I was instantly upset. Seriously? Now I'm paying twice as much JUST SO I can have more greens and I STILL get a hard time? It's not like I'm asking for more cranberries, candied pecans or even parmesan cheese, all of which I'm pretty sure are more costly than the extra greens I was asking for. Needless to say, I was left with a whole pile of cranberries and pecans that I couldn't finish (see photo). And don't get me wrong, those pecans are delicious! But I'm interested in salad, not nuts and dried fruit with a few pieces of lettuce tossed in. Regardless, I don't appreciate the rude little remarks made as if to imply I'm trying to be cheap or rip them off. It was certainly enough to make me not want to go back. It's probably worth noting that neither of the older men, one of which I believe is the owner, made those comments to me. They are both almost ALWAYS pleasant. However, just to avoid being called out and possibly embarassed again about my "extra greens" salad, I'll just go elsewhere where they don't seem to mind someone asking for extra lettuce int their salad. It was October 14th, 2020. Early morning morning hours. This very Jimmy's egg. I had just lost a 6 year relationship with the love of my life and my dog had just been run over by a child on his motorbike. (He survived, but not without significant damage and loss of limbs.) I had a restless night full of nightmares and dreams that will never be fulfilled. I knew I had to be at Jimmy's egg. It's the type of place where you can go to be at peace with your thoughts and emotions. I hadnt eaten since midnight when I had Pizza Hut delivered to my moms house, so naturally, I was famished. Nothing but that Jimmy's sausage could satisfy my cravings. As soon as you bite into that meat, all your problem melt away. Sweet waitress, Val, always has that comforting neutral grimace and knows just what to say. Her classic "want some coffee?" never ceases to lift my spirits. Wonderful vibe. Wonderful food. Wow, only one review for this place?! Must add mine! I first heard about this place from my co-worker who advised that our big boss loves the Baja Chicken Soup. They only serve it on Wednesdays and it is really pretty good!! I MUST agree with Alyx on their caesar salad because it is the best! If you're a fan of the creamy styled caesar dressing then you might be pleasantly surprised by this version. The dressing is oil based and the spices hit you in the face. It's super tasty and super garlic filled.... You will have rancid breath for a while! The salad is always pre made though FYI. I wish it wasn't because I like crispy lettuce. I have also had their croque monsieur which is a fancy ham and cheese on marble rye bread. It was crunchy melty oozy good, but I'm not a fan of rye bread. so, I like this place but, I'm giving them 3 stars because I believe they are a little expensive and one of the cooks (heavier guy) does not wear GLOVES. I have gotten biscuit and gravy and every time he prepares it without gloves I get sick. I believe everyone who prepares the food should wear gloves. Also, the same guy and another cook that is in the back, makes me feel uncomfortable, they are very flirty. It's distasteful and unprofessional.
