Gave these guys a try when I started having intermittent problems with an electronic module on my car. Basically the deal is to mail them the unit, and they will inspect it for a fee, then either repair or replace the unit (additional fees) and mail the unit back (free shipping in USA). According to their website, they can repair modules from several German makes. Their website is a bit clunky, but I was able to order the service/repair needed. Their phone agents are great. They were able to answer all of my questions. In addition, they have a chat function where I was able to converse with the actual technician working on my module. They looked at my module within 2 days of receiving it, and informed me of the problem (mechanical failure in my case). I paid for the replacement service and they had a unit ready and mailed out in under a week. When I had a warranty issue (the 1st unit they sent out had a minor problem), they were prompt in procuring and configuring a 2nd unit. The technician and I maintained a chat the entire time which I definitely appreciate, as he was able to answer all of my (technical) questions and address all of my concerns. All I had to do was pick up the 2nd unit and mail the 1st unit back using the same box with a new (included) shipping label. About as seamless as it gets. As promised, the 2nd replacement worked flawlessly out of the box. Can't speak for the other reviewers, but I was actually quite impressed with their technical expertise. These guys provide a service that is badly needed out there (I couldn't find a business in Canada that could do what these guys did), and they saved me a pile of money compared to what the dealership wanted. lost pretty much all electrical functions on my 2011 BMW. I found this company from a Google search and saw that they might be able to help repair my FRM for a reasonable fee. From the very beginning they gave clear instructions on how to send the module using a specific identifying number as part of their quality controls. whole process took about 3 days before they contacted me to inform me that the module had been repaired. Very pleased with the end results. Highly recommend this company if you're having the same problems i was. Also, I had a question regarding the reinstall of the module and I received a very prompt phone call from a representative who helped me with that concern. I felt scammed. I was told it would cost $159 to look at and repair my ecu. I was then told I had a leaking capacitor and damage to the circuit board, so it would now cost $1,500.00. Upon return of the ECU I found it had never been opened and looked at, and they sent a letter saying there was nothing wrong with it. Look on ebay for an honest 5 star rated repair or replacement. They are dishonest. They take advantage of people in a bad situation. read more

This was my experience. I have a 2013 Cascadia and needed the ECU in the cab tested , I called to verify that they could test my unit they checked the model and said they could. 1-2 days later they inform me that they could not ( test ) my ECU and my options were to have them send it back or they could clone it desperate I had them send my original and the so called cloned unit . The cloned unit had errors that my original never had and still does not have. So if the couldn't test my original how would they test the cloned unit. Not a satisfied customer, sent my MEVD17.2.6 on for diagnostics/repair. My DME is out of 2011 335i,N55 engine. I was having valvetronic issues. My Faults: -2DC5 valvetronic servomotor,activation:malfunction. -2DE3 valvetronic servomotor,activation:volt phase, line disconnection. Those are the two faults i had in my DME. They couldn't not "repair" my issues, so they tried to sell me a used control unit for $1,500. They told me my DME was beyond repair, the circuit board had damaged drivers. I am a BMW tech, so my cost for a new control module is $1,700. I declined the repairs, and they sent my DME back to me. I wanted a second opinion so I sent my DME to Maic Salazar Diagnostics. Once he received my DME I gave him the back story on what was going on. During his initial inspection he found a jumper wire(resistor)from another circuit that had nothing to do with valvetronic. He also found what appears to him "scratches in the circuit board" that appears to be on purpose. Miac was able to diagnose the actual problem and repair the damages that they have made. Miac and I can't wrap our heads around what ECU Pro was trying to accomplish. I don't feel the ECU Pro was honest and transparent. Everyone makes mistakes and I understand that, but this seems criminal. Dishonest people like this trying to take advantage of people is it ok. Even tho I only payed ECU repair fee, and shipping. It wasted my time and money that I didn't need to waste. I had to also pay Maic for his time to repair the true issue , and repair the damages they caused. read more

These people are crooks! Do not send your ECU to them for testing. I sent them the ECU from my 2016 peterbilt earlier this year due to intermittent engine shutdowns. They tested it an confirmed the ECU was the problem and offered to repair it for $5k. I agreed and got it repaired but I continued to have the same problem. They wanted me to send it back for more testing but at this point I had reasoned the problem was something else and did not return it. Eventually, the problem was discovered in the trucks Cab harness and I got it fixed for $300. There was NEVER A PROBLEM WITH ECU and they knew that. BEWARE! read more

I was having problems with my 08 bmw 328i and was having trouble finding the issue. My brake lights would stay on once I parked and took my key out. When I start the car up, they would work normal. I replaced the brake light switch but that wasn't the issue. I also had a buzzing like sound coming from my glove box each time I put my key fob in and when I took it out the key holder. The car would start a run like normal but those things happen each time I started my car to drive and once I parked it. The only way to get my brake lights to go off I had to keep inserting the key in and out until the lights go out or my battery would drain. I then had trouble starting my car after awhile along with the other problems continuing to happen. Every shop I took it to said it was my starter,brake light plug, battery, alternator ect. Turns out it was none of those things because I got most of those things replaced and the problems continue. After replacing parts and spending money on things that didn't need to be replaced or repaired it ended up being the CAS module. ECU Pro was a place I found that would check, repair, or replace the CAS module for a reasonable price. The also programed it so all you have to do is just put the parts back in. They can repaired 90% of the CAS modules they received or the will let you know if it's beyond repair and need to be replaced. All you have to do is mail the parts to them. They even have video instructions on how to remove the parts and you can even call them for more information. They usually return your call within a few hours of less during business hours. Once they receive you parts they send emails or may even call you throughout the repair process. Once your part is repaired you get a email with a attached video of your part being tested in one of their test cars. I highly recommend this place if anyone is experiencing similar issues with their bmw. ECU Pro is very transparent with the work on your parts and the turn around time is amazing fast. Waste of money and more importantly time. I ordered a $999, 24 hour express repair, (price has now been upped, and so has repair time since two weeks ago when i got screwed and lied to). Requested CPC fixed for a Freightliner Cascadia. Sent it in on Monday via overnight Fedex. It was received by ECU pro by 3 pm on Tuesday. When ordering it via express service, it sounds as if you'd get it back Wednesday, or at the very latest Thursday. Well I got it back Friday. So now 24 hours has turned into 5 days. BTW, I've inquired, and it takes less than an hour to diagnose, repair or copy settings to a CPC. But I digress! Wait! There's more! After plugging in the device, it came up with a completely different set of codes. I contacted Dan I believe, and he stated that this would have to be cleared via DDDLink, supposedly couldn't copy settings to CPC. OK. There goes another $175 to Freightliner shop to clear it. Drove it the next day, and a Christmas light show came up on the dashboard with the same code, plus additional 5 faults. Kept having to pull over every 50 miles or so, unplug batteries, wait 10-15 minutes and drive another 40-50 miles before it happened again, and finally got it home and to Freightliner shop. Just got it out the shop yesterday. They installed a new CPC, programmed it and charged me close to $2800. I informed Dan about this a few days back, and he stated to send him the old CPC back and he'd refund me the money. That's hilarious, considering that i had to give this garbage CPC to Freightliner as a core, so i will not be seeing any of my funds back, and I'm sure they'll come up with some excuse where this was somehow my fault. So be aware of these folks when it comes to turnaround time and knowledge of heavy duty trucks. You'll waste money and end up spending much more. Take it directly to the manufacturer and pay the $2800 - it's cheaper! This was a loss of five days of work, plus $999 for NO service, $175 in Freightliner diagnostics and $82 in Fedex shipping. Total of $1256 down the drain. I'd say shame on you, but whoever is willing to lie and cheat folks out of that much money, has no shame. read more
