Little Gem is such a little gem! Tucked away behind The Pig and beside Chapel Chill ice cream,…read moreLittle Gem is an unassuming cocktail bar (with beer on tap!) that hits you with a fine vibe the moment you walk in. There is purple furniture throughout with candles lit at each table, and soft seats near the courtyard entrance. We had an obscure and tasteful Black Sabbath song playing, which we learned was playing on vinyl from the record player on the back wall. The mixologist, Doug, who's just all sorts of awesome, later physically swapped out the record for a Beach Boys LP that had literally zero Beach Boys songs that I'd ever heard. It was rad. The cocktails were phenomenal, aromatic, and balanced. The menu has them split out into "Originals" (cocktails they invented), "Covers" (cocktails, that other famous bartenders invented), and "Remixes" (Little Gem's spin on existing cocktails). The music theme was on point. We also ordered some marinated feta and white bean dip that came from Beau's Catering (in the same courtyard), where Paul Finn (the owner of Little Gem) is the Beverage Director. I highly recommend the dip, it blew our minds. Do yourself a favor and go check out Little Gem. Maybe a mini date night or pop in while you're waiting for your order from The Pig or your kids are getting ice cream next door. And while you're there, take a moment to appreciate the music playing straight from the record player. It's such a vibe.

TLDR: cute place, a bit pricey, interesting ambiance but I like the idea of it…read more Came in on a Wednesday for the more open random game night with friends. The place is pretty tucked away and didn't know it existed until I was invited. First thoughts were uh this is a bit shady walking up stairs and the building itself was not super well kept (not their fault). The bathroom looks so outdated and wasn't super comfortable that the bathroom is a shared one (two stalls, a urinal and it's just open to all) so wouldn't feel comfortable drinking alcohol and then possibly being alone in a bathroom where men are peeing right next to me. That's just my opinion and comfort. Regardless the place was cute- the bar had a lot of options for tap, they had MEAD! Extremely exciting as I LOVE Starrlight mead. The music was kinda all over the place from like 70s music and then the next was like a Fern Gully song -would just stick to one genre. The employees were also pretty nice (they ?Meredith? helped me over the phone as well). Notes: DO NOT PARK IN THE GRAVEL PARKING LOT- it's not theirs They seem to automatically tip, not sure how much, I wasn't given a receipt and didn't have the price of my drink so I can't deduct from my charge. They seem to have a pretty big card charge as well so maybe cash is better? They have a ton of events so check when you want to go during the week! I've added a photo.

Also the bathroom was disgusting and I threw all my clothes in the wash. It's near the college which I guess explains the sounds coming out of the speakers. Actually they were more like a series of constant screams accompanied by the unplugging and re-plugging in of instruments. Major cons: *limited parking *pee * about 10 tables * no one asked me about board games or cared. Pro: that brief period when the music stopped. Thankfully there were plenty of edgy hairstyles Do places like this care about money or is it just a front for the magic the gathering store?

I must admit, the outside and parking lot leaves a lot to be desired but the inside is a secret garden! So, I am so glad a friend asked us to meet here for lunch yesterday. No greeter and the main entrance and different parts that don't appear to be part of Namu but all are ‍. So, if it's your first time know this. All food is ordered by a QR code which is fine but again if it's your first time, there's no one even walking around that you can ask questions to. But, let's talk about the main star-the food. I like Korean food, have had the widely known bulgogi, kimchi etc. My eyes were startled to see gimbap on the menu. After watching Extraordinary Attorney Woo on Netflix and becoming obsessed with it, IYKYK; I had to try the gimbap. I loved, loved the shrimp tempura gimbap. It was generous portions so I got to bring some home. And, the six different homemade sauces were delicious too...I tried them all. Definitely I will be back and I loved the ambiance!

I met some friends for lunch and we landed in the outdoor space which is super nice. They have an efficient ordering system - scan QR code and not long after our order arrived. They have a system to flag a staff member if you need additional service. I ordered one of there popular dishes as I love poke bowls. Bibimbap with chicken. Lots of veggies and served over rice or not. This was interesting and good. The ambiance is cool and I loved the vibe here.
