Wicked cool place. Our group was 2 adults & 2 kiddos (age 8 & 9) & we decided on the Epic Sky Trek. The 8 year old comfortably completed most of the first & second levels of obstacles. The 9 year old did a little more, & up to the third level. The employees were all very sweet & thoroughly explained how the course/ equipment worked & made sure we were knowledgeable before sending us up on our own. This was awesome! My 7 year old and I did the ropes course and the ziplining. Both together were cheaper than just ziplining when we did it in Hawaii! Maybe not as breathtaking as the Hawaiian rainforest, but still tons of fun. It was April 1 so pretty cold, only thing I would have done differently was bundle the kid up a little more. Even got a few snowflakes. I think you have to be 70 lbs to zip line so check that out first. Our zipline guides Declan and Simone were so nice. There was some hiking but nice water stops and a candy stop. They have a pictures package but they email it to you and weren't super pushy about it, which I appreciated. I really had a good time doing the ropes course... they had 4 levels, the bottom was for kids. Kid shed a few tears on level 2, so we headed back down to the bottom. I shedded a few tears on level 3, LOL. It was all very safe but I totally have a fear of heights, so it was quite exhilarating. They color code the obstacles so you can choose how crazy you want to go. Nice (free) playground nearby too. Definitely worth the $$$. Don't forget to tip your guides. read more

The EDGE is an awesome experience and a must go! There is so much to do between the sky trek climbing and the tower climbing, there's something for all ages and all abilities. This is great place for kids and teens, helps build confidence and problem solving skills. The Zipline is awesome fun too, here's some things you should know before you go: 1. There are a total of 10 lines 2. You have to walk/hike/climb in between the different zips. Depending on your health level, it could be easy or on the harder side. 3. 9 out of 10 lines you stop yourself. If you've never been on a zip where you stop on your own, it may be tricky (mostly for older adults like me, the younger have no problem) 4. The views are awesome and it's so much fun! read more

Great ropes course that our teenagers had a blast on for hours during our visit to the area. Multi-level setup with lots of unique fun props including benches, rafts, bikes, etc along with the normal rope course challenges. Friendly helpful staff constantly manned on the ropes helping out those who need it and being encouraging to everyone. They even have a shorter section on the way bottom for the little ones to enjoy without being very high off the ground. It also looks like they have pretty cool ziplines, including long runs across the hills, but the kids weren't up for the included hiking to get to each one. read more

Had a great time zip lining with my two adult sons. This was not our first time zip lining, but first time here. 10 lines, so worth the cost in my opinion. This was the first time zip lining where you need to brake on your own with a special glove. It took a while for me to grasp that. Went here and on my 2nd to last zipline, the zipline attendant did not inform and gave proper announcement to her counterpart on the other end that I was coming and when I quickly realized he wasn't ready for me (his back was towards me) I tried my very best to stop (hence we had to stop on our own with just pressing down as much as we can with the glove on our hands), I hit the opposing barrier (even though he tried to catch me). My legs swung up and luckily I was wearing pants it help but the impact was so strong it ripped my pants and gave me a horrible cut on my inner leg and bruises. They are not properly trained, and this was not our first time zip lining. Just first time here. There were No apologies, not even any medical attention was provided, other than a drive back down since I told them I cannot continue (yes, they even asked if I wanted to continue).... read more

Our very patient guides, Brady and Simone, explained everything in detail before we began to make sure I felt safe! They were reassuring and professional and allowed us to go at our own pace. This place is located off I-25. Fortunately it is located about midway between Denver and Colorado Springs so you can get there from both places. Unfortunately it takes about 45mins-1 hour to get there from Colorado Springs. But it is worth the trip. They have ziplines about 9 of them. The slight catch is that you need to do some hand breaking yourself to slow down. It takes a couple tries to get it figured out but its not difficult. The less you weigh the less you need to break. My daughter who weighs 80 lbs did not need to break much. Some of the rides are long 1800 ft and the last one is a dual line about 1500 feet and you race one of your friends. They also have a rock climbing area with some free falls. Then there is the Epic Sky Trek where you can do various climb obstacles up in the air. The best part of the Sky Trek is the tight rope that goes through the middle of the Trek on the 3rd level, There also is a soccer field, hiking, and a 200 step climb at the park where Castle Rock Adventure Park is located. There is a cost for each of the 3 parts and the ziplines take about 2.5 hours, the Adventure tower about 1.5-2 hours, and the Sky Trek can take however long you want to test things about. This was an AMAZING/FUN EXPERIENCE! I was with Alan (Spider-Man) and Haile - very personable and Alan is hilarious! I came to visit from California and I can honestly say this was the perfect adventure. This zip line course was worth the money and it was very scenic and a great little hike. They provided water and snacks along the way. It was a great prize by the way! A lot of places charge so much. I took my GoPro for videos/pictures but the pictures they provide are sooooo worth it. We decided to go zip lining before heading out to Red Rocks for a concert, while in Denver. We picked the 10 line course and showed up for our 2pm appointment. The team checked us in, we met our guides, Maddie and Gwendolyn and we were off on time! They drive you up to the first line in side by sides, show you the ropes and off you go! The guides are friendly, professional and fun! What a great time we and our entire group had with them! Our group had a wide range of ages, from grandmothers to teens. We had an excellent adventure with Colin and Fynn as our guides! There is some vertical hiking, but you get a chance to cool off at the water stations and on the zip lines themselves... all 10 of them! The guides make it fun and there are several photo ops they snap for you! You have to be at least 70 pounds to make it across the line. Very fun experience on the Epic Sky Trek! My friend and I came on what ended up a very very cold day, which meant we had the place to ourselves! Nicer weather is recommended but we got to do everything we wanted! The guide let us just run the course how we wanted and helped when we needed it. I personally would recommend some gloves (no matter the weather) as you're holding ropes. 3 levels of difficulty of ways to go, and I'd say they range in difficulty within. I did some medium and the last medium I did, wore me out! I'd definitely come back, and want to try the zip line day too! read more

Four star opinion of the Zipline but a 3 star worth overall experience. If you're there for the Zipline, it's a good mix of fun ziplines, scenery and hiking and seriously, if I were to rate on just that, 4 stars easy. But I question the true safety motivated vs "we go all weather" approach instead of doing a rain check. We were 2 lines in and unfortunate enough to deal with a lighting storm and the team was quick to bring us into a shelter. ~30 minutes later, we're back out in a heavy blowing wind and rain (no lightning) where a few of our party lacked the weight to get across the line because the wind was blowing so hard until line 5. roughly 25 additional minutes where the whole group was NOT having a good time. I would have been more OK with an additional 25min hold vs standing on platforms where I'm getting blown around and a cable attached to my back is the only thing keeping me from falling. To add to this, we paid for the extra photo package and got a grand total of 10 shots of my wife and I riding across a line. 9 ziplines, and we're only captured in photos on 1 and not even the last 2 lines which IMO were the coolest. The rest of the photos are the normal group shot, couple spots on the publicly open trails and one nice one of just my wife and I before we rode over this nice valley. I suspect pictures were the last thing the guides thought about because we were required to stop ourselves (hand brake) and they needed to make sure we didn't fall short or crash. Thankfully I had the foresight to keep my iPhone on me and I got other great shots for us to remember the day. (Tip for others: they did have gopro camera clips on the helmets). I get it, Safety vs Photo capture experience and I'm glad the guides were hyper focused on safety. I didn't die and walked away having an ok day (weather aside). But maybe when someone pays for the photo package, you get a 3rd guide up there with the group getting some shots or more than 1 camera for the guides. read more

I first learned about this place through Groupon. Redeeming the groupon was simple. I recommend completing a waiver online to save time upon arrival. We decided to do the Epic Trek. The guide gives you a lesson how clipping in and then you're off to explore on your own. I did ask a guide to show us how to do the slack line. They offer water coolers at the bottom of the tower. My kids were worn out after 2.5 hours. We'll have to try the zip line next time. read more

Wow, what a fun place! The hubs + I visited with our teen sons for my birthday recently and what. a. blast. Even though we had all ziplined before at a fantastic place in Tennessee, our boys had been much younger so we wanted to try it again. The zips here were fun and long, exactly as you would want them to be, and our guides (Jordan and Colby) were knowledgeable, super personable, and polite. Our family is sarcastic and we tease each other a lot, and these two fun guides joked around with us and fit right in! Afterwards we went to the Epic Sky Trek, which was the true purpose of our visit. I'm terrified of heights and wanted to conquer a few fears on my big birthday. (Interestingly, zip lining is not scary to me at all, but put me on a 10-foot ladder and I'm a mess, so I knew the Sky Trek was going to be the real challenge. And it was.) Regarding the Epic Sky Trek, let me just say it's truly the coolest thing ever. It's basically a giant jungle gym, 40+ feet in the air with over 100 fun elements. And, thanks to an amazingly safe technology that ensures you are constantly strapped in from your very first step all the way to your last, you get to move through everything independently (no guide required) and at your own pace! Kids as young as 5-6 were moving across every level of the course on their own while parents lounged in the shade below, watching them. As for me and my fear of heights, I skipped a good number of the elements...especially those on the top level that looked particularly sketchy wobbly. But, surprisingly, I was able to complete many of them! (Again, the entire course is totally safe so I know it's mind over matter...but the mind sometimes talked me out of trying an element.) The Epic Sky Trek would be a super fun team-building event, so if you're reading this review for that purpose - book it! In fact, if you're reading this review and wondering at all whether it's as fun as it looks - book it! It is. Tips: - Plan your zip line tour early in the morning! There's a bit of a hike between zips and minimal shade, so I'd imagine afternoon slots get realll hot. - Wear closed toe shoes for zipping and, if possible, bring a water bottle that can clip to your harness. You'll need a good deep pocket for your phone, or again, something that can clip onto you somehow. - The Epic Sky Trek is a great afternoon activity since there's lots of shade available. - Bring snacks! The only downside I saw to this facility was the lack of food/snacks. There's plenty of water available, but you're definitely going to want to stay and enjoy this place for hours, so plan ahead and bring your own food/heavy snacks! - I happened to have a birthday massage scheduled for the following day and, well, I highly recommend that! I took my daughters here for my youngest 16th birthday and we all had a blast! Anna and Micah were polite, positive, and caring. Plus, they were both pretty funny! There are three water stops and small candies to keep your blood sugar up. Even with though it was 100 degrees and the smoke was pretty bad the hikes were not that difficult. With that said, if you are not in "okay" shape you may lose a little breath on 1 or 2 of 10 very short trails. Before going I suggest drinking some water and eating a little something.
