After 7,8 months I changed to San Jose since its closer to another house where I stay during weekend. I scheduled appointment and when I came they apologized that technician not there and I had to leave. The very first time I was ok since im pretty laid back. Then it happened again and again till the very last moment, today. I called to see if there was any spot for me to come in then schedule. I came, they said that spot no longer available. My IPL was incredibly thorough and great up until... half my eye brow was burnt off. Yes I signed a waver. Yes I have had IPLs before. My IPL was wonderful until the esthetician gasped and said she burnt my eye brow off... and then said she didn't... and then realized she definitely did. She of course apologized but with nothing after that. Said she told the girls at the front desk, to which when I went to leave had nothing to say about it. No products offered at discount, nothing. I felt Groupon was a service to bring people in to a business for discounted services to thus produce more clientele. Bring technician Debbie back for Laser hair removal!! She knew what she was doing when she did the Bikini area. I can't stress how important experience is. The place was great .....until they fired their well experienced and we'll studied nurse staff that did the laser hair removal sessions. The office said they replaced them with nurse practitioners to "take a more medical approach." That doesn't mean anything btw! It's just a way to try and charge more money to customers for the same procedure, like Ideal Image does, and it was done worse!! All that really matters is how much experience the person has. Currently recovering from a number of blisters and more burn marks than normal. I miss Debbie I don't even think my last Bikini area was done properly. Clean place, like the snacks. Desk staff is friendly. Environment is calming. Was a 5/5 until Debbie and Elsa left. I didn't know what good service and care I had, until it was gone. Have been coming for 7 months. Very disappointed with my treatment at this place. I signed up for laser hair removal through a Groupon and once I arrived they stated the area I wanted was a "Medium" area. Although, all other locations in Jacksonville consider this area as "small". I then bought the "Medium" package just to try it out (even though I was upset to pay more for an area that is considered small everywhere else). The day of the appointment, I had to reschedule due to an emergency at work- in which I had to stay late. They had ZERO sympathy. Instead, they charged me $50 for cancellation. I immediately cancelled my groupon and never want to set foot in this establishment again. Deleon Wellness in Orange Park has better prices and works with cancellations due to work. They will cancel your appointment the day of, repeatedly, with literally no solution and a flaccid apology, along with them reminding you that they are a small business and appointments can be canceled at the staff's discretion. I requested a cancellation of membership and a refund of my remaining credits- at least half of which, I might add, were charged for during COVID-19 closure- and they continue to refuse. They canceled my appointments twice in the same week for the same reason, mere hours before the scheduled time, and why did the same thing a year or so ago. I recieved a half off buy from Groupon and purchased a 1 hour deep tissue massage. I must say the BEST massage I have ever had. I work in a desk job 8-10 hours a day at times so my shoulder and neck always knotted up. I told the massage therapist ( Elisa) my pain spots and man did she get in there. I am use to ordering the deep tissue and getting what I call a cat rub where they barely get into the muscle but that was not the case. If you want the best DEEP TISSUE massage you have got to check this place out and make sure to ask for ELISA. She is there every Wed, Sat, and Sun and well worth every penny plus a good tip! read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. First it started with the worst massage I have ever had. The technician had callused hands and did a VERY poor job. Management decided to do nothing about this when I mentioned it. Then, I tried to cancel my membership and thats when the trouble began. First they said all was good and canceled and then I kept getting charged each month. They said I never signed the cancel form. When I called in to dispute, the manager wouldn't even listen to what I was saying and continued to talk over me and hung up on me. What kind of service is that? He has ruined me for all other therapists! My husband and I go there once a month, he likes another therapist (don't know her name), but he says that SHE gave him the best massage of his life. But since I got pregnant I haven't had a chance to go until I got a gift card for a full one hour prenatal massage so I decided I'm going to try this out. Well I scheduled the appointment for 1:30 this particular afternoon and this morning I woke up feeling like absolute crap being at 32 weeks and getting little to no sleep and getting sick all night and morning. So I called when I woke up to see if I can reschedual... ok well for starters they tried to charge my gift card anyways since I canceled in less then 24 hours and then the store manager named Brittney was extremely rude about it. Telling me I should have woken up earlier to call them and it wouldn't have been an issue. Then continued to threaten to charge me for her inconvenience.. excuse me? I understand you have policies but I have never been talked to in that way and being pregnant I cannot predict how I was going to feel that day. So now I'm being forced to go in and to avoid the 50$ charge on my gift card. Won't be coming back after today and will let everyone who I referred to this location of the service today. The staff is never pleasant, the atmosphere mediocre at best and the services are below quality-my skin was even damaged during a facial ( bleeding and scabbed from the product! ) and my massage was from a sheer novice. New to Mandarin and trying to find a good massage spot. The is one of the massage chains that has a monthly membership. My husband and I had the couples massage with a reduced rate since it was our first time there. It was nice that they could easily accommodate a couples massage. Massage Envy does not have a couples room. My husband had Rebekah and I had Nicole. Both of them were fantastic. My husband is usually picky because he needs a lot of pressure, but I never heard him remind Rebekah once to give more pressure. They incorporated some light stretching which was unique to me, never had that during a massage before. Also they didn't go crazy with the oil, so I wasn't slipping off my leather sofa when I got home. They had nice music playing in the room. I took one star away only because I like aromatherapy and felt it could have had more. Maybe it's something I could request. I was in for both a facial and massage. I was disappointed that the therapists didn't give me the full amount of time I had paid for. I was supposed to get a 50-minute facial and instead the girl started 10mins late and ended 10mins early. At $49.99 for the 50-minute facial she basically took $20 right out of my pocket. The same thing happened with my 60-minute massage. I'm not sure if I was just unlucky two times in a row or what, but I tried calling the manager three times and he has yet to return my calls (and I'm not holding out hope since it was more than weeks ago now). I redeemed a gift card for a massage on Monday, Jan. 20, and at the end when I was checking out with the receptionist, I expressed an interest in yoga and asked if I could attend a free class to see if I liked it. She said yes, that there was a promotion running and I could attend one free class. I asked if I could use that free class the next night (Tuesday, Jan 21) and she said yes. When I arrived on Tuesday I was told by another reception that the class would be $12. She refused to believe what I was told by the first receptionist and made several phone calls (in front of me!), including one to the owner and one to the first receptionist, who confirmed what she'd told me. The owner refused to honor what I had been told and give me the free class. I was humiliated and vowed never to return. This is a local business and I live in the neighborhood. Subsequent telling of this story on my Facebook page resulted in learning that lots of other people have had poor experiences at The Elements... not with the massage therapists but with the owner and his poor customer service.
