I do quite like these back street pubs, though I have to admit that a lot of people seem to like them as well. Yeah, when I came here it was pretty packed, but then again it was a Friday night, and that is pretty much the case in most places you go to. Still, despite it being packed, it still had quite a bit of charm about it. Yeah, it wasn't all that bad.

We had lunch here and loved it! The staff was very friendly and accommodating to my allergy. They also swapped our fries out for roasted carrots, which I'm sure is a request they never get lol. My mom and I split a pornstar martini and it was SO good! I had the Mac n cheese and it was stunning. The accompanying garlic bread was also delicious.

We walked here from the Churchill Arms and it wasn't too far. We had a chance to explore the beautiful Nottinghill neighborhood along the way as well. This bar has a good amount of seating inside and some outside as well depending on how the weather is the outside can be a good choice to take in the scene. They offer a good drink selection and delicious food if you'd like. We met a really nice couple here and they ended up inviting us to their table which was really nice.

Great pub for evening Sunday roast, definitely book a table. Food excellent but can run out of dishes, recommend early seating.

Wow! What a great find on a rainy Monday. Wonderful food and ambience. Sticky toffee pudding was aces. Wish we had pubs like this in the US.

I was looking forward to the Chicken and Portobello Pie but ordered the Steak and Nicholson's Pale Ale Pie instead.

It's at the bottom of a Holiday Inn, or at least, it appeared to be that way, and was a strange mish-mash of a pub. I think it was trying to feel like it was really old, yet it had the strangest collection of furniture and decor. We had a blast making fun of this tavern. Tables were laid out in sort of a weird fashion and at first we were really close to this group of 20 somethings that were fairly drunk and really obnoxious and a woman who was sitting by herself at a table for 6 who was reading a book while her food sat off to the side. The drunk group left and it got nice and quiet and so did the woman who had a better table than we did so we took her table. Nothing we drank was anything we'd ever come back for. There are way too many good pubs in London. Unless everything else is closed and this is the only option, go elsewhere!

The food looked (and smelled) good but it was only liquid libations for us. Great staff, everyone was friendly. Not sure what the thing about hotel guests only is, I'm sure there were other people here and they weren't checking for room keys.

We came by to just take pictures to send to them but decided to pop in for drinks and lunch. It was 12:30 and we were hungry from walking around all morning. We sat outside on the patio out front. It had a reserved sign on the table but the hostess said we can have the table. It was a hot day with maybe the 3rd or 4th heat wave of the summer! We wanted to sit outside but in the shade. The table they gave us was perfect! The pints and cocktails were a perfect start. We ordered: Crab malfade £20 Chicken and Parm Ham Schnitzel £20.50 Fish & Chips £22.50 Only the crab malfade was good. The rest of the meals were not great but we were hungry so we ate them. Still giving them a 4 stars for great ambiance and service. Definitely more of a drinks spot.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a casual pint or a relaxed meal. The food is solid--nothing overly fancy, but it delivers on classic pub flavors. Service was friendly and quick, even when the place got busy. Whether you're grabbing a drink with friends or looking for a cozy pub experience, this is a solid choice. Would definitely return!
