I came here with my friends for my bachelorette party and this was my absolute favorite activity and one of the best girl's activity I've ever done! My maid of honor booked our event as a private party and we were able to bring our own champagne, music playlist, and we also had a bottomless wine and sandwiches! They also take photos of you with their professional camera and send them to you in a few days after the event. Everything was delicious (my favorite was the cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches and the deserts!) and the decor was amazing! I highly recommend this place for a bachelorette or bridal shower. Read contract well and make sure if you rent the venue that you add the correct number of guest if not you will be charged a hefty up charge. I would give this place no stars If I could! If you want to spend thousands of dollars for a less than mediocre event this is the place for you! I paid for a royal tea party (which is the most expensive option) and custom theme. My "custom theme" was that of teddy bears which I paid an additional $400 for and all I got were these tiny horrific teddy bears on the table I could've gotten at the dollar store myself. I was promised a custom banner stating "We Can Bearly Wait", burlap table runners, greenery and topiaries to dress up the location. The food options was the most embarrassing for me, or should I say lack of food. I could've made better appealing sandwiches at home. Table service what is that? My photo was taken 31 min into my event (mind you each event is 2 hours long) there was no beverages served, plates, napkins not even the food was ready to be served. I had to ask for all this and the beverages I took to the event myself. I poured my guests their beverages while staff was doing god knows what! I would steer clear of this place unless you want to be disappointed. I feel robbed of my one and only baby shower experience. read more

This place is really, really cute, but the execution isn't the best - it's truly just not worth the money. I felt very rushed, they kept reminding me in front of my guests how much time was left and that i would be charged $50 for overtime, I felt embarrassed. There was not nearly enough food for the amount of guests i had. $38 per person for 3 scones, a few macaron macarons, and 6 bite sized desserts with little finger sandwiches (and the sandwiches were the only ones that were unlimited)? Wow - not what i expected! The menu makes it seem like there's more than enough for everyone. Also, my party was the only party for the day, yet they set us up at a little table in the corner of the space instead of the big long table in the center of the room - very odd. I booked with the owner Michelle and she helped me so much to figure out the final details- you can tell she really knows her stuff! They exceeded my expectations, the staff, Helen was so sweet to the children and super entertaining. It was a non stop giggle fest. I choose the unicorn theme, which was so adorable and we got a million good pictures, I'm planning on framing some of the photos I got back from them. We were recently at Veronica's Dollhouse, celebrating one of my daughters' best friends. It was her bridal shower and they hosted it here. I can't think of a more apropos place to have showered her. Everything was so special. The decor is just what every little girl dreams of in a dollhouse. It was elegant and classy. Nothing was spared at this dainty tea party. They served vintage bottles of white wine, pots of hot tea and water, as well as an assortment of luscious tea sandwiches on butter croissants, cucumber tea sandwiches with dill cream cheese, and pineapple tea sandwiches on butter bread. For sweets, we had assorted scones, petit fours, cupcakes, macaroons, and cookies. They also had a large variety of Victorian hats that we wore and took photos with. Katie and Michelle served us graciously-- they took care of everything. If there was anything that I would suggest is that provided it's allowed by the property owners and/or the city, they would place a dozen balloons outside their storefront location, or something similar that will be visible to drivers trying to find them. They are not visible from the street and finding parking is more than challenging. Other than that, I highly recommend them and hope they open a location in Broward. read more

Just stunning! My bridal shower was held here and what great experience this was. All my guests enjoyed themselves and taking pictures. The owners, two sister, are so helpful and sweet. All my guests loved the food and service provided. I rented the place for 4 hours me was just what I needed. The first hour was to mingle once that happens, everyone sits and should enjoy tea time for about 15-20 minutes before starting your games. My best friends hosted and began with asking everyone to share a story/memory of me. This was a fun ice breaker and to begin the celebration. They also take pictures and send them to you after your event is over. Beautiful unique vintage venue. The teas they serve were sooo good. The sandwiches were fresh and delicious. My favorite was the lemony cucumber and I couldn't get enough of the quiche and wine. They give you a lot of food too. The sandwiches don't stop coming. We were full by the time we left! Excellent customer service. We hosted a mother and daughter event here at the end of the summer that was superb. The boutique is divine, the staff was courteous and attentive. There seemed to be no end to the two types of tea, tasty sandwiches, scones and sweets. I do wish, however, that they took more pictures of our event. As a part of our selection, we were assured that staff would take "lots of pictures". In actuality, we only have about half a dozen that are clear. Tips: 1) If you don't know exactly where VD is, you could drive by it a dozen times - the signage isn't great. 2) When they say you are invited in 10 minutes prior to your event & your event will end on time, they mean it! The door is locked until your scheduled time. If you need to bring in favors or do anything extra, you'll have to pay for that time! 3) Group deposit is 50% of anticipated & you have up to 24 hours to confirm the final number. read more

The venue was pretty, but I'm not happy overall with the experience considering what we paid. For starters, it was really HOT inside the venue...I was sweating the whole time as were my guests. They admitted something was wrong with their AC and set up fans throughout the venue, but it didn't help. We were literally sweating the whole time. My second issue was with the "food"...the sandwiches were tiny, soggy little rectangles and left A LOT to be desired. The worst part was that they claim to take photos of your party but we just got ours and they are all extremely BLURRY. Many are missing and the ones we got are horrible quality. We didn't take many photos ourselves as we were expecting the ones they took, and I regret it now as they are absolutely terrible. The owner says the camera was accidentally put out of focus. There is no excuse for a mistake like this. We have almost no memories of my baby shower to look back on. I'm very upset and extremely disappointed. I would not recommend this venue, especially for what they charge...they must do better. Update: My best friend and I both called the venue to express our dissatisfaction and the owner was whiny, full of excuses, and RUDE. I am disgusted by her lack of professionalism. Do yourself a favor and AVOID this venue at all costs. Sure, it's cute looking, but you will be sorry if you spend your hard earned money here. I know we are. *Edit: The owner replied here as she does on all the negative reviews in an attempt to save face. Nobody insulted or threatened her...those are blatant LIES. We will however continue to notify everyone possible in an attempt to save them from the TERRIBLE experience we had with her and this venue. Trust me, I wish I would have listened to the many negative reviews on Google, but I gave them a chance anyway and boy do I regret it! Edit #2: The owner is attempting to discredit me once again by stating blatant LIES. She is claiming that I have left many negative reviews for businesses...simply not true. Look for yourselves. I have left 6 reviews on here. Four of those reviews are 5 stars. Only 2 are one star negative reviews (including this one). She further claims that I am leaving reviews under multiple accounts...another fabrication. I however have left one review for this establishment for Yelp, one for Google, and one for The Knot as I want to warn as many people as possible to stay away from this venue! The owner has shown herself to be a liar and I know she is showing her true colors by denying the problems (i.e. "the AC was at 72 degrees" "we are not photographers") but then explaining how they supposedly are correcting them ("we are investing in a new AC!" "We bought a second camera!") Yes, she really is this manipulative and a flat out liar/scammer. I hope I can save at least one person from this narcissist and her shady business operation. Helen is beyond nice and helped me from beginning to end throughout the planning process (and this was a party planned at the very last minute). The day of the party both girls were extremely nice and professional. They made sure to entertain the girls the whole time and keep the party alive, while also attending the rest of the party. We celebrated my best friends bridal shower saturday afternoon here. It was fabulous! She loves tea and I knew this would be something she'd enjoy. We had so much fun and we brought a guy friend with us too and surprisingly he enjoyed himself. I was invited to a surprise birthday party for a friend of mine here one evening and it was a real treat! Tucked away in South Miami is a little taste of refinement not seen in these parts for quite some time. Veronica's Dollhouse Boutique is an overgrown tearoom, when little girls and grown women alike can set up parties in which the hosts provide big, beautiful floppy hats, tea, sandwiches, macaroons and cake, for about 2 -3 hours. It was my first time visiting and was such a treat! Everyone was immediately trying on all the hats, and oohing and ahing at the decor. If you never had a dollhouse growing up, this one definitely makes up for it! The hosts were very nice, and treated the birthday girl like a queen! They took tons of pictures for her, and also ensured our teapots were constantly filled and we were comfortable at every moment.
