Got some good records, Aerosmith and Guns N Roses from here. Can tell they need to build their library of vinyl but you can have a cocktail or coffee and chill which is cool. I hope more people check out this place and interact as it is a cool concept.
Such a cool spot!I'm constantly saving different events put on by Ep listening lounge in particular Motown nights I believe. Having made it to the Local event early I suggested we grab a drink here. We were the only ones inside but the bartender was really attentive , I settled upon the funkadeliq which was rum rum and rum ! A royal light rum, vizcaya Dominican rum. and a funk Jamaican rum. Vanilla syrup and lime. It was Saturday afternoon perfect! Definitely a good chill vibe here and I can only imagine how much more amplified the vibe is with music!
Another five star review for EP Listening Lounge! Came in for another specialty coffee ($5.50?! What a great price!). I grabbed the Velvet Latte this time and absolutely loved the Red Velvet color and flavor of the latte. The barista was very kind and kept a great conversation with my friend and I! I also love that they kept up their Fantasies in Chocolate award - woop woop! See you all again soon!
The vibe in this place is top notch. The abundance of plants and disco balls was great too. My hubby and I went in on a Saturday night before they got too busy and enjoyed some tunes, a signature cocktail, and a soda. The cocktail list was not my favorite, but they do have a great assortment of spirits to make you something different. That being said, I was surprised that there weren't any coffee cocktails on the menu, being that they are a coffee spot by day. Further, only having one bathroom resulted in lines even when the place was mostly empty. I'll be back to check it out again, but maybe earlier in the day.
Atmosphere: Couldn't be more hip and comforting all rolled into one. Think checkerboard flooring, accents of wood and velvet, and plenty of light coupled with green plants. Vinyl for Sale: Yes as the name implies they absolutely have vinyl for sale. It's the perfect amount to look through where you can check the whole inventory without spending the day doing it - but it will also take you awhile. Every time I'm here I tell myself I'm not buying another vinyl but they have such a great and unique selection that I can't help it. Also the prices are spot on. No need to check online, their prices are indeed competitive. Vinyl to Listen to: Depends on the day you are here. They definitely have an expansive personal collection and the equipment to play it, but on quieter days you can understand why the barista isn't going to run back and forth to keep flipping records while making coffee. If you want a listen shoot to be here on busy nights and for special events. Coffee: They a great selection of brew to order coffee of varying flavor profiles and they even have a couple different option of decaf. (If you are a decaf drinker I don't have to tell you how nice this is). The coffee shop side of the house has table seating as well as a bar to sit at. Bar: The bar side of the house has space for 16 taps- not always 16 options but darn close. They also have all the fixings for making mixed drinks. As I don't drink mixed drinks I can't report on that facet. Bar space as well as a few tables, a couch and a few armchairs give this place many options for seating. Employees: Every time I've come here I've really enjoyed the energy and the friendliness of the employees. I find when you find a place like this where you know the barista/ bar tender is going to be friendly - you find a new home out in the world.

By day, it's a coffee shop serving up delicious pour-overs, creative monthly flavors, and a full menu from the best local roasters. By night, it transforms into a dreamy listening bar pouring high-quality, musically inspired cocktails, house-made sodas on draft, and a solid lineup of local beers. The entertainment is next-level: a fantastic jazz band every Wednesday, rotating DJs spinning diverse genres throughout the week, and on Mondays you can even bring your own vinyl to play. Reno's first and only listening bar keeps things fresh with special events and an ever-changing lineup -- check their Instagram for the latest schedule. This spot nails it all: incredible atmosphere, stellar service, great drinks, and amazing vibes. It's cozy dressed with different types of seating including fun couches and chairs. As always, I love to explore new places, especially when it comes to coffee! At first, I thought it was more of a place that with a bar, but since it showed up after I searched "coffee", I decided to check it out. On the website, it states they had coffee, but also a bar. I was a bit skeptical at first, but!! I walked in and my very forst impression of this place was "woooow". It instantly felt like a cozy place. One side of the shop has a bar, and the other side was the coffee shop, with a wall separating the two. It wasn't loud, so it was a perfect place to enjoy my coffee and have a nice chat. It was very chill. They also had a wall with vinyls, and thought that was cool! Staff were friendly, and they were able to make me customized drinks that aren't on the menu. I will definitely go again!
This is such an unusual, special place and they combine 2 of my favorite things-music (especially vinyl!) and good coffee. It's split into 2 areas-the lounge area which has a complete bar and the coffee area. They even have separate entrances but are connected by an open doorway. They have an assortment of records for sale and I love the eclectic decor-feels like you stepped back into mid century only cooler than I remember it! Had a delicious chai latte and will be back to try more!
Lovely interior, both at the bar and coffee areas. I went to get some coffee with friends, ordered the salted caramel pour, and loved how unique the flavor was. Equally salty and sweet, It may not be for everyone, but I enjoyed mine. The staff were very friendly, allowing me to sit at the bar section tables despite it being midday. As the day went on, and it started getting near the bar opening, they started to play some vinyls, which was a great background noise while I was studying. I will say that since the entrance is all glass windows, trying to sit down near sunset is quite hot, but otherwise, had a great time sitting down, enjoying my coffee, and getting some work done. It was mid-morning on a weekday, so there were only a few people on the coffee side. The other side which is the bar was not open for drinks, but the space was open to enjoy. This place is so cozy and I love the retro vibe with the disco balls, VinyI records and retro pattern furniture. They were also playing some really cool music. I had a Milli Vanilli pour over. I really liked it and I found out that the Vanilla Bean syrup is house-made. Obviously the ambiance must be different once the bar opens, but during this time of the day, it was perfect. I was there with my daughter and we really enjoyed the music and relaxed ambiance to talk and catch-up. The one employee that made our coffee was also great. He was kowledgeable and very welcoming.
A hidden oasis with a laid-back vibe and an amazing bartender who makes a standout whiskey sour. Perfect spot to relax with friends--you won't be disappointed.
Came here with a date on a Friday night to enjoy a cocktail and some DJ mixes. Unfortunately the EP Lounge didn't come through. The DJ had switched nights so there were no tunes and numerous drinks were not available due to the lounge being out of certain ingredients. The place is tiny. Most of the seating options are at the bar. My date and I sat in some comfy chairs and sipped on our drinks. We stayed maybe an hour. I may come back and try the coffee side of the lounge, but there are too many other bar options in town to return to this spot for a drink.
I've only been in for coffee on Sunday morning and to peruse the vinyl for sale, but great idea and I hope for our sake it makes it. Reno/Sparks needs small businesses like this. It was an eclectic mix of people stopping in and the service was great. The young lady had a great playlist going, she chatted with people at the bar, and she was lovely. We had chai because we don't do coffee, and they do loose leaf if you're wondering. No Starbucks here thank goodness! The interior was super cool, especially in the lounge area. Large, and comfy - could use some more seating - make some huge leather sofas. The DJ was setting up for a day show (on Sunday) and the food truck was setting up outside since they don't offer food (great idea)
After several people recommended this place, I finally checked it out for my friend's birthday celebration. We came by after dinner, and it's nice and cozy for a bar! If you head to the other section, you can actually browse through the records and check out the vinyl player. I didn't see anyone listening to music while we were there, but maybe I'll do that next time. Someone also told me they serve coffee and tea too, so I'd love to try that on another visit. As for the bar itself, everyone was super friendly and the drinks were really good. I stuck to mocktails this time, but there are definitely a few others on the menu I want to try next time. It was pretty busy for a Saturday, but it still maintained a really chill vibe. I highly recommend it! read more
This time last year EP was on the Yelp Food Walk. So I was past due to circle back and rediscover it when it wasn't flooded with event goers. An interesting combination of coffee shop, bar, and vinyl lounge, EP is located on Wells Avenue. Took a break from checking out other neighborhood shops to sit and enjoy an afternoon cocktail with friends. Plenty of various comfy seating areas and about six spots at the bar. I tried the Float On, a boozy adult root beer float using local gelato from Bibo. It's a coffee shop, so my friend sipped the 9 to 5, their version of an espresso martini. The Soul Sipper, a beautiful orange colored cocktail was similar to an Aperol Spritzer. Located on the corner of Wells and Vassar, there's a little more street parking available. read more

What a major local gem in Reno. It only took one visit for me to become a fan of this coffee shop/bar in Midtown. You can tell that a lot of thought and heart went into the place. The decor, the entertainment, the products all struck a chord with me. On one side - a super cute pour over/loose leaf tea shop with some records for sale. On the other - a cute bar and lounge area equipped with a vinyl player (Bring one in on a Monday for them to play). You have some house pants, checkered floors, and cool vinyl covers all over the walls that make for some great & hip atmosphere and vibes. Their restrooms, though small, and clean and cool. Their pour overs are so flavorful, strong, and made with beans grounded on your visit. I love that they're flavored and sweetened in a way that allows the coffee to shine. If you're into sweeter drinks, ask for a bit more sweetner or add in a brown raw sugar packet yourself from the straw station. I hear their chocolate pour over is a hit. Matchas - prepared in a similar fashion. Slightly sweetned with subtle flavorings. I tried their carrot cake matcha today and really enjoyed the housemade syrup they used to flavor it with. I also love that they offer loose leaf teas. Their chai was nice, fragrant and great with a little sweetner and milk. Shelby over at the bar area was sooo patient with explaining their menu and suggested a isla bonita pineapple shrub drink for a non alcoholic option. Similar to their other drinks on the coffee side, it was tamed in sugar yet still fun and flavorful. I really enjoyed the tang from the apple cider and the spice from the tajin chili powder as a contrasting flavor. Double check their website for bar and coffee shop hours as they differ from one another. And follow them on Instagram for updates on seasonal specials & themed gatherings. A lot of cool local DJs spin here for special events and parties during the holidays. Tip: sit next to the pour over station next to the menu. It's so entertaining, especially with Sydney working the station (thanks so much for the chat and entertainment. Honestly one of the friendliest baristas I've ever met in Reno). Both bars are set up in a way that allows for meeting others and socializing. Check it out. It's a good time. Pretty chill spot to do homework! Keep in mind, I came on a Thursday in the early evening. They stop serving coffee at 6 pm, but their cocktails make up for it! I ordered the Thin Fizzy, which consists of cold brew, brandy, Irish whiskey, tiki syrup, and chocolate and cherry bitters. Needless to say, I finished my drink quite quickly because it was just that good. The bartender was super nice and made my drink promptly. I haven't looked at their record selection yet but when I get the chance, I'll definitely skim through! The aesthetics of the cafe are so nice, it definitely feels comfy and inviting too. read more
Cool place to meet for a drink or 2! Need to get back in and try the coffee!! Loved the design of it.. all the plants and the neon signs. Comfy looking chairs and couches. Great music playing although a little loud. Nice drinks!! Good options for anyone. I had the Fiesta Forever for my first drink. Basically a margarita but very good! And then I tried the 9 to 5.... Wow!!! I love a good espresso martini and this one had a twist. The drink itself has a mellow minty taste to it- not too much at all- but they zest an orange on top... so as you take a drink you get the smell of orange and then taste the mint/coffee. It was VERY good!!!! I'll definitely be back. read more
On one of our burning hot Reno days, my daughter and I stepped into the EP Listening Lounge and were greeted by a wonderful bartender who asked us for our drinks. She was knowledgable and great with recommendations. The Aperol spritzes were so refreshing. They also have a nice selection of non-alcoholic drinks, too. The ambiance is so chill. Lounge chairs and a sofa as well as bar stools are available. There is also a coffee bar which was closed by the time we came. They have a coffee mojito I am dying to try. If you are looking to escape the heat, definitely try EP Listening Lounge. read more

EP rules. Friendly bartenders cool owner very inclusive to all types of people. The regulars are all super nice. DJs on the weekends, fun place to dance with friends. Jazz Wednesday and Super Smash Sundays are my favorite nights During coffee hours it's a nice place to relax and get work done in a quiet space. read more
We were thrilled to have had the opportunity to stop in at The EP Listening Lounge one Sunday afternoon! Addy, the bartender, was super friendly and helpful with our various questions as first-timers. We tried a few of the cocktails from the menu, all of which were spectacular. The coffee bar on the other side of the space looked adorable and we will need to stop in for some coffee next time we are in the area in need of caffeine. Addy mentioned that dogs are allowed (bonus for next time) and Mondays are BYOV (bring your own vinyl)! The vibe is super chill, the decor was awesome, and the drinks were delicious! read more

Hidden Gem Alert! It's been a while since I've been inside this location and glad my buddy and I chose this as our outing for the day. I was a fan even when the establishment was just the Reno Coffee Company. This is such a cool space to be! The vibe is calm, open space, plants all around, vinyls , and drink selections include coffee and alcohol. This is a split location so great for meet ups, a night out, or an event space. Today was a casual visit my buddy and I were just working away but enjoyed some nice coffee options. I got the morning mojito and she got the chocolate pour. Both tasty drinks and yes they have pastry's the pair with your drink. I was helped by the awesome Sydney. She has excellent customer service and a dope personality to represent this business. This is a place you need to be if your trying to catch a vibe, handle some business, or explore the greater midtown area. They have jazz nights every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. Also, Dj's playing the jams every Saturday. Stop by and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed! read more

Amazing selection of used records! A must stop in Reno. Record/Coffee shop during the day, and bar in the evening. The inside has plants and is welcoming. Plenty of natural light coming in as well. The cocktails are well crafted, and the servers/bartenders are friendly. The beer selection contains some tough to find craft beers, but they also have the basic lagers if you want something simple. The used vinyl section is updated weekly. No "filler" records and plenty of tough to find vinyl in the bins. Great spot to have a dig, and grab a drink to start/finish your day or just to get out. read more

It's an amazing thing to see familiar places transforming into something new and hip! Reno Coffee Company has already been one of my favorite local shops to go to for their unique pour over coffee roasts and specialities. I was able to attend to one of their Jazz Nights this past Wednesday and can definitely confirm I'll be back for another show. The inside space is retro hip with plants, vinyl's and vibes. Cocktail menu fitted the funky theme with drinks like the "Purple Rain" and "Funkadelic" at reasonably pricing ($10-12). Beer on tap, wine and other drink options also available. Seating was spacious and comfortable as I got to sit and enjoy the music. Fast forward to a few days later, a friend and I met up for coffee on the other side of the Bar Lounge area. The baristas who made our drinks were friendly and helpful. I tried their Chocolate Pour with Mocha flavoring with their dark roast. The coffee was made nice and it was a smooth taste in blend. They also have pastries from other local shops like My Favorite Muffin. I was able to get my work done on the orange couch by the window and enjoyed the atmosphere for a few hours. The space would be a nice meeting or for other gatherings. Happy to check out another place in Reno that has been coming up with ideas but also a cool place to hangout. read more

The wife and I have been here a few times, and it's time to give this place some props. First, they have one of the chillest vibes in all of reno weather you are going in the morning for coffee, or relaxing after work with a cocktail or beer. It reminds me of hanging out at an old record store with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The beers on tap are very approachable yet high quality and their coffee drinks castor to any taste you want from the geek to the Frappuccino crowd. 10/10 can't recommend enough. read more

I'm an original customer when this space was the previous owners and know as Reno Coffee Company. I am so happy that with this epic evolution to EP Listening Lounge, the yummy coffee drinks have remained! The barista made the Morning Mojito perfectly balanced. After coming here for the Yelp top 100 event we just had to come back! My mom works close by and we drive past all the time but have never stopped. This time, we stopped in early on a Saturday for coffee but we can't wait to come back for cocktails on an evening soon! Everyone was so happy and friendly and we absolutely loved the vibes. Listening to music while sitting on cute chairs is always such a great experience. We got one black coffee, a hemp and honey, and chai and a green dragon. All of which were delightful. Anyone who has seen my coffee shop reviews in the past knows I love when places go the extra mile for their tea drinkers so the green dragon was such a welcome treat. So thankful we finally made it in and can't wait to come back! read more

Quickly becoming one of my favorite bars in Reno. The drinks, ambiance and service are unbeatable. The owner must be a drink aficionado to come up with the cocktails they have designed. In house infused liquors and house-made syrups already puts EP above the others in my opinions. A small cozy couch filled space, the eclectic bar is definitely something to try out. read more
