Champagne and Chocolate was pretty great! When we first got there we were seated next to the DJ and it was a little too loud, but we asked to move and they accommodated us with no problem. The music was a good mix of throwbacks and newer songs which made the vibe really fun. I'd say it's a little pricey, but they definitely have unique items you can't find at most places and everything we tried was delicious. Also, there's quite a few seafood options which I love & are always on the pricier side! We shared the lox crostini bites, charcuterie board, and ahi nachos between 4 people and it was the perfect amount -- satisfying without being too much. Might go again this weekend! I have dined here on a handful of occasions and always enjoyed myself. After my most recent visit I was already planning to write a review, but not one like this unfortunately. The vibes were high upon entering with my girlfriends who were visiting from out of town and this is the brunch I chose to bring them to. They have updated their furniture to match the aesthetic and it looks really nice. Our waitress was really nice but things came out a little slow. Our reservation was at 11, I ordered the NA orange creamsicle. It arrived at 1122. It was very interesting. Oat milk and blood orange made for a thick smoothie like mocktail. I enjoyed it the more I drank it. One girl had a berry bliss mocktail. Two had champagne and chocolate rimmed glasses and espresso martini, another a mimosa. However It was noon when our food came out, we'd been waiting a little over 30 minutes which would have been totally fine except one of the ladies didn't get hers, so I waited a few minutes before she told me to please eat so mine wouldn't get cold so I did but halfway through my avocado toast which is very good by the way, she still didn't have her breakfast. It was the "essential breakfast" which consisted of scrambled eggs, two sausage patties, "crispy potatoes" and toast. The chunky monkey waffle was also not out yet, but my avocado toast, a lox toast, chilaquiles verde and I don't remember what else my other girlfriend ordered were out. In the meantime we all did enjoy what we were eating but my bread was sooooo chewy the bread knife didn't cut it. She brought me a steak knife which must have been so dull because it also didn't cut it. I picked it up and had to bite into it which was fine because I liked it. but we started to feel bad. The waffle then came out and looked amazing. We were told that her breakfast is coming "right after", but it did not. It was approximately 20 minutes after our meals were delivered that hers was and it seemed that a manager or supervisor of some sort delivered it but didn't say much, until I asked why it came out so long after ours did as we were nearly finished with ours. She said something along the lines of the chilaquiles had to be remade.... Huh? Those came out in the first round. She then said there were new cooks in the back. And that was that. With that acknowledgement and my questioning of what the issues were I actually DID think they would remove her 17$ breakfast from the bill but they didn't. Ps those breakfast potatoes were sorely undercooked so please make them actually crispy :( I think customer service goes a long way in this industry. It's not like that really made a difference in the amount of money we spent, but it would have made a difference in how I now feel about the establishment. I'm not saying I'll never go back because I do like the avocado toast and atmosphere. DJ brunch is a vibe although it was a different DJ I'm used to, thankfully he stopped with the house music shortly after he started and played the 90s/00s r&b and hip hop we love. I needed a break from studying and work so I came here. I've been wanting to try this place and today was the day! The liege waffle was delicious and the Mocha Royale was decadent. Servers were friendly. Vibe was lit and they have a live DJ during Sunday brunch. I was happy that I was seated at the very back of the room which was perfect since I wanted to simply space out. The backdrop was gorgeous! The only thing I hope the owners or managers would add is a phone stand or a way for guests who wanted to take a photo to be able to do so without asking the person who is dining. I didn't mind it at all when a group of girls asked if I can take their photo but then a bigger group asked again and some even placed their purses on the table where my food was. I chose the desert since we were getting bottomless mimosas for 2 hours $22 each only Friday-Monday. They have three types of juice orange, mango, cranberry! Wish they had pink grapefruit which is my favorite. We ordered our breakfast, I had the breakfast croissant sausage, egg, sandwich with crispy, delicious potatoes, and my friend had the chicken fried steak, which both were phenomenal!!! They were quick to bring out your good piping hot too! While you are drinking and eating your breakfast there is a DJ, playing all your favorite tunes to sing along or not! On Saturday's, they have the Disco Head guy dancing around but I missed him since we went on a Sunday! If you talk to Marvin, the DJ, he has a party bus he can hook you up with too. There was a bit of a mix up on my Birthday desert. They don't offer the menu items anymore. You can have either the "Birthday shot" or a Truffle so I decided on the Birthday shot! Jessica felt bad about the mix up so they gave me the truffle too! The staff came parading out with a big sign Happy Birthday Chicky and they sing Happy Birthday it was such a huge surprise! Have always heard great things about this place and finally made it for brunch. It was a Sunday but we got there fairly early so wasn't too busy and was able to sit at the bar. We ordered the Eggs Benedict and the Chilaquiles with Steak. Eggs Benedict were fairly basic and had a ton of hollandaise sauce for our taste. The chilaquiles were delicious and the steak was cooked perfectly. We ended up hangin out for a long time at the bar and ordered a lot of different drinks. My favorites were coffee and chocolate old fashioned and a Double Trouble. Also ordered a macchiato and really enjoyed it. This place is so stinking cute!!!! I came on a Saturday morning to have brunch with a friend. I was super impressed by the ambiance. They had a do and it was such a fun vibe inside. Decorated well. Lots of people were celebrating birthdays and other events. Great event space. I actually ended up ordering a couple glasses of champagne and a salad. Both were great. I love that they offer chocolates you can buy and take home. The chocolate fountain behind the bar was so cute! 10/11 This was my first time here and it was enjoyable. They had Live jazz tonight. They do every other sat is live jazz. We had a party of 8 . Made reservations because they do get busy. Ambiance is very cool with chandeliers over bar dim lighting . For food we got a little of everything. We had ahi nachos sooooo good , spinach dip with bread , protein bites which is small bites of steak, all really good. We made a reservation ahead of time and and half of us got there early and were already seated when my half showed up a little late. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The energy was great walking in especially with the live DJ. We each ordered a different entree and also shared a couple of items. For my main entree, I chose chilaquiles and asked for a side of two additional eggs. Everything was tasty for the most part and the group seemed to enjoy the food and the vibes. The pacing was great. I always love when I can make it to a spot that's been on my Reno list. Champagne and Chocolate did not disappoint! We arrived around 5:30PM on a Monday for a pre-trivia game dinner. It was still happy hour until 6PM and damn is the happy hour here a huge win! 50% off on a massive selection of drinks and appetizers. Wowza! Our server was very nice and made some great recommendations from the happy hour menu. The vibe here is super fun and spunky. A bit upscale, (perhaps that's not quite the right word, maybe boujee?) but no dress code. On the weekends I hear it's a bit of a party vibe. We ordered some wine and some appetizers. Unfortunately they were out of the bruschetta, so we ordered the truffle fries instead. You know you're at a boujee place when they don't have ranch. The tarragon aioli is pretty great though. The crispy fries were well seasoned and paired great with the aioli. After ordering a second round of drinks (can't beat half price and heavy pours!) we ordered some more food. We asked for the fish tacos, the ahi nachos, the shrimp flatbread, and the Caesar salad with steak. The wait time for food was a bit long for how empty the restaurant was. Every bite was delicious! The ahi nachos were killer and the portion was huge as an appetizer/entree option. The fish tacos were great but the fish itself was just slightly under seasoned. The shrimp flatbread was interesting and delicious with a perfect spice level. Overall a great evening/early dinner at Champagne and Chocolate filled with great food and drink pairings at great happy hour prices. Such a cute and vibey spot! Chocolate AND brunch? Talk about a winning combo. I visited here with some friends on a Friday morning, even then there were a few groups. I imagine it's very popular for celebrations such as bachelorettes, showers, birthdays or just a girls day! They have a extensive menu of beverages, from espresso, cocktails, mimosas, mocktails, wine, you name it. The food menu was also diverse from classic brunch staples to more elevated options liek crab cakes or calamari. I shared a lox bagel and their breakfast flatbread with my friend and got a black coffee. The flatbread was really good, the lox bagel fell a bit short. It wasn't bad, just lacked a bit of flavor and felt like it was missing something. We also got the crab cakes and lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes for the table. Crab cakes were delicious and loved their shareable presentation! The pancakes needed a tang like a cream cheese frosting or something to counter all the sweetness. They were good but I don't know if I would get them again. Though I did not indulge in a mimosa, they do offer bottomless, with the option to add a chocolate rim, super fun touch and great way to highlight one of their specialities...chocolate! I DID indulge in some chocolate and took a lavender dark chocolate bar, a cookies N cream chocolate bar and a custom one to go! The custom is very fun and they give you a sheet to choose your base, fillings, toppings and can make it in about 20 minutes! I opted for dark chocolate, with honeycomb, almonds and sea salt. The bar was delicious, but did not hold up as well as my other bars for some reason and became VERY soft in my bag, while the other two didn't. A bit of time in the fridge fixed it and I still enjoyed it, though the consistency was slightly different. They have a wonderful selection of bars, truffles, and other chocolate sweet confections. Having the champagne with the chocolate board pairings is a great birthday celebration or any other dessert with a friend. I have also come with my family and had delicious desserts. The basque cheesecake is quite large and decadent. My daughter and her friends have enjoyed making their own chocolate bars. Dessert wise, I liked the display of the champagne and sorbet but it was hard to drink. I had thought it was going to be a scoop of sorbet in a regular champagne glass. The reason for 1 less star is that the food that I have had there has just been okay. Nothing that I felt like needed to try again unlike their chocolate and desserts. Ok - finally made it in to celebrate my friend's birthday, brunch for two! To start, very fun and upbeat environment, if you're looking for a quiet brunch this may not be the place for you. The service was great, while busy, the staff was friendly and while not needed, apologetic for things "taking too long" (in my opinion they only lagged a little longer than what should be normal so not a big deal to me). The food was good, I love brunch items and while overall taste was fine, I was expecting something slightly different. I ordered the crab cakes and I must not have paid attention because I expected two traditional crab cakes and received crab bites. Regardless of presentation, good taste. My issue was the egg, I ordered a side of over hard eggs and got over easy. And while I know I could have said something, I really hate to send food back so I ate around the yolk. The best was a mocktail. The potatoes served with the mushroom omelet were undercooked...Al dente potatoes are not good. Ate a couple and left the rest. The omelet was tasty, however. Chilaquiles needed more sauce as once you finished the top you are left with plain tortilla chips. The eggs on top, ordered over medium, were completely hard. The plates were nicely presented but the food itself was very average. The decor is a bit cheap looking, but the chandeliers were fabulous! I get what they were going for, but they missed. There was a DJ playing good upbeat music. I tried two mocktails. First the virgin martini. It was too sweet for me but if you really like lemonade then this one is for you. I really did enjoy the berry bliss mocktail, had a nice bite to it from the ginger beer. We tried the lemon ricotta pancakes. I expected to taste some lemon inside the pancake but there was none.. just a slice of lemon on top. These were only buttermilk pancakes. The blue berry compote was good but we needed an extra side, there just wasn't enough for the amount of pancakes. My reason for the 3 stars. We also split the not so basic breakfast and unfortunately it was basic... :( The potatoes were undercooked, still hard. After trying one bite neither of us ate anymore. I think the plate might've been waiting out for the others to be done but it wasn't the end of the world. Now going back to the mimosas -- what is so unique to Champagne & Chocolate is the fact that you can get your chilled viking flute with a milk chocolate or white chocolate rim. It's a unique taste and recommend having one and then going to a non-chocolate rim. The whole bottle being served at a time was also super clutch!! What was the most unique spot to me was how they have a build-your-own-chocolate bar and they had so many options. My friend who got crab cakes ate them all and then noticed the bed of greens it came with was black and wilted and slimy! The ricotta blueberry pancakes were too soggy for my friend. The flat bread my friend got did not come cut. I don't know if this was just missed or if that's normal but she had to tear the flatbread apart for the whole meal. My huevos rancheros were good, though also a bit soggy. Overall, I'd give a 5/5 for ambiance. The atmosphere was nice and and very busy during bunch. The bacon sandwich was okay my eggs were a little runny for my liking. Our waitress was helpful and moved us to a better table because the table we were at was too low to eat on. The parking lot is very busy so be careful. The mocktail berry bliss was so good really enjoyed it. We also tried the chocolate and enjoyed it. read more
