Avocado toast and yummy tomatoes 4/25/26
    Emily A.

I have dined here on a handful of occasions and always enjoyed myself. After my most recent visit I was already planning to write a review, but not one like this unfortunately. The vibes were high upon entering with my girlfriends who were visiting from out of town and this is the brunch I chose to bring them to. They have updated their furniture to match the aesthetic and it looks really nice. Our waitress was really nice but things came out a little slow. Our reservation was at 11, I ordered the NA orange creamsicle. It arrived at 1122. It was very interesting. Oat milk and blood orange made for a thick smoothie like mocktail. I enjoyed it the more I drank it. One girl had a berry bliss mocktail. Two had champagne and chocolate rimmed glasses and espresso martini, another a mimosa. However It was noon when our food came out, we'd been waiting a little over 30 minutes which would have been totally fine except one of the ladies didn't get hers, so I waited a few minutes before she told me to please eat so mine wouldn't get cold so I did but halfway through my avocado toast which is very good by the way, she still didn't have her breakfast. It was the "essential breakfast" which consisted of scrambled eggs, two sausage patties, "crispy potatoes" and toast. The chunky monkey waffle was also not out yet, but my avocado toast, a lox toast, chilaquiles verde and I don't remember what else my other girlfriend ordered were out. In the meantime we all did enjoy what we were eating but my bread was sooooo chewy the bread knife didn't cut it. She brought me a steak knife which must have been so dull because it also didn't cut it. I picked it up and had to bite into it which was fine because I liked it. but we started to feel bad. The waffle then came out and looked amazing. We were told that her breakfast is coming "right after", but it did not. It was approximately 20 minutes after our meals were delivered that hers was and it seemed that a manager or supervisor of some sort delivered it but didn't say much, until I asked why it came out so long after ours did as we were nearly finished with ours. She said something along the lines of the chilaquiles had to be remade.... Huh? Those came out in the first round. She then said there were new cooks in the back. And that was that. With that acknowledgement and my questioning of what the issues were I actually DID think they would remove her 17$ breakfast from the bill but they didn't. Ps those breakfast potatoes were sorely undercooked so please make them actually crispy :( I think customer service goes a long way in this industry. It's not like that really made a difference in the amount of money we spent, but it would have made a difference in how I now feel about the establishment. I'm not saying I'll never go back because I do like the avocado toast and atmosphere. DJ brunch is a vibe although it was a different DJ I'm used to, thankfully he stopped with the house music shortly after he started and played the 90s/00s r&b and hip hop we love. It just really would have been nice if they owned their mistake.

I needed a break from studying and work so I came here. I've been wanting to try this place and today was the day! The liege waffle was delicious and the Mocha Royale was decadent. Servers were friendly. Vibe was lit and they have a live DJ during Sunday brunch. I was happy that I was seated at the very back of the room which was perfect since I wanted to simply space out. The backdrop was gorgeous! The only thing I hope the owners or managers would add is a phone stand or a way for guests who wanted to take a photo to be able to do so without asking the person who is dining. I didn't mind it at all when a group of girls asked if I can take their photo but then a bigger group asked again and some even placed their purses on the table where my food was. But I understand with bottomless mimosas, DJ and a party vibe, I went with the flow. All in all, I enjoyed it and will be back again!

Great ambiance, kinda loud so close to the DJ, but very chic. Oh my gosh, they offer to sing for your birthdays, and then give you a champagne shot from the bottle with spray, or a bon non! How unique! Fun staff, great service. Food was so so, but service very accommodating. Reservation process was weird via Open Table because there were only 2 times and the start time of 11am on the restaurant website was incorrect. They seat people much sooner and serve much sooner. Maybe that's just Have pictures of the menu please. Hard to order unless you know of a small plate or appetizer will fill you up. Fun time. Would love more ability to share champagne.

If you follow my posts, you know I've had knee surgery. My BfF Carmem has been waiting for me to get better to celebrate my belated 60th Birthday! She took me to this amazing restaurant! I had never been to before! It's like a women restaurant to celebrate special occasions or just a fun get together with the girls and let all your worries go, and escape life for a couple hours!! The service is outstanding, Jessica was fantastic. Since we were celebrating my Birthday they told me I could pick from the menu a desert or a shot. I chose the desert since we were getting bottomless mimosas for 2 hours $22 each only Friday-Monday. They have three types of juice orange, mango, cranberry! Wish they had pink grapefruit which is my favorite. We ordered our breakfast, I had the breakfast croissant sausage, egg, sandwich with crispy, delicious potatoes, and my friend had the chicken fried steak, which both were phenomenal!!! They were quick to bring out your good piping hot too! While you are drinking and eating your breakfast there is a DJ, playing all your favorite tunes to sing along or not! On Saturday's, they have the Disco Head guy dancing around but I missed him since we went on a Sunday! If you talk to Marvin, the DJ, he has a party bus he can hook you up with too. There was a bit of a mix up on my Birthday desert. They don't offer the menu items anymore. You can have either the "Birthday shot" or a Truffle so I decided on the Birthday shot! Jessica felt bad about the mix up so they gave me the truffle too! The staff came parading out with a big sign Happy Birthday Chicky and they sing Happy Birthday it was such a huge surprise! I didn't catch any photos I was in awe. Thank you for making my 60th Birthday super special! I've already contacted my Birthday Club girls to organize our friend's Birthday in February. See you then!!!

Have always heard great things about this place and finally made it for brunch. It was a Sunday but we got there fairly early so wasn't too busy and was able to sit at the bar. We ordered the Eggs Benedict and the Chilaquiles with Steak. Eggs Benedict were fairly basic and had a ton of hollandaise sauce for our taste. The chilaquiles were delicious and the steak was cooked perfectly. We ended up hangin out for a long time at the bar and ordered a lot of different drinks. My favorites were coffee and chocolate old fashioned and a Double Trouble. Also ordered a macchiato and really enjoyed it. At some point a DJ showed and was playing really good music throughout our time there. We also had a lot of fun chatting with the bartenders.

This place is so stinking cute!!!! I came on a Saturday morning to have brunch with a friend. I was super impressed by the ambiance. They had a do and it was such a fun vibe inside. Decorated well. Lots of people were celebrating birthdays and other events. Great event space. I actually ended up ordering a couple glasses of champagne and a salad. Both were great. I love that they offer chocolates you can buy and take home. The chocolate fountain behind the bar was so cute! My friend and I both had two drinks and two entree salads and it was about 100.00 with tip. So not crazy considering the ambiance and dj. I will be back and am glad I have a fun, unique place to bring people for brunch!

This spot is a vibe! I love coming here with girlfriends for a Sunday brunch or a birthday celebration. They have a dj, good food & even better drinks. The chocolate rim mimosas are my favorite! Very creative. The bartenders and waitresses are so kind and really hype you up. A little on the pricey side but still affordable for what they offer. Can't wait to come back!

Food was great. We ordered a flat bread and fries. Drinks are ti die for. But what really was beyond my expectations was the server. She was such a doll! So attentive and kind. She even brought me water to clean up a spill on my dress! The place is super cute and not overpriced either. Highly recommend!!! Truffles are delish

10/11 This was my first time here and it was enjoyable. They had Live jazz tonight. They do every other sat is live jazz. We had a party of 8 . Made reservations because they do get busy. Ambiance is very cool with chandeliers over bar dim lighting . For food we got a little of everything. We had ahi nachos sooooo good , spinach dip with bread , protein bites which is small bites of steak, all really good. Diana was our server and was great and quick as possible being it was busy and she was bouncing around everywhere. Drinks had was a Rye tai , mocha old fashioned and espresso martini, all very good . JD is the bartender and is excellent. We all had a great time . Definitely will be back for food , drink and jazz.

Visited Champagne & Chocolate for Friday brunch with my group of seven before heading out of Reno. We made a reservation ahead of time and and half of us got there early and were already seated when my half showed up a little late. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The energy was great walking in especially with the live DJ. We each ordered a different entree and also shared a couple of items. For my main entree, I chose chilaquiles and asked for a side of two additional eggs. Everything was tasty for the most part and the group seemed to enjoy the food and the vibes. The pacing was great. As the name implies, there's plenty of champagne and chocolate at this spot including bottomless mimosas with chocolate-covered rims. You can even build your own chocolate bar to take home. Some of us did that, but I decided to grab a box of mixed chocolates instead. So glad I did, it's the gift that keeps on giving! Champagne & Chocolate is a great spot for a vibey brunch!

This was an adorable spot. Met a new gal friend here and had a drink. It's deff little pricey, but the vibe was top tier. We were underdressed, as we didn't peep the spot before we arrived, but I'll deff be back dressed for the occasion next time. The server was very kind and attentive as well. She did a great job helping go through options to the menu. The appetizer was pretty tasty as well. Deff going again.

I love this place. Food is good, the drinks are great. Yummy chocolate, you can even make your own chocolate bar or sundae with fixings of your choosing. The service is good, could definitely be better. Super cute decorations and detailed to the theme. I love looking at all the details in the decor.

I always love when I can make it to a spot that's been on my Reno list. Champagne and Chocolate did not disappoint! We arrived around 5:30PM on a Monday for a pre-trivia game dinner. It was still happy hour until 6PM and damn is the happy hour here a huge win! 50% off on a massive selection of drinks and appetizers. Wowza! Our server was very nice and made some great recommendations from the happy hour menu. The vibe here is super fun and spunky. A bit upscale, (perhaps that's not quite the right word, maybe boujee?) but no dress code. On the weekends I hear it's a bit of a party vibe. We ordered some wine and some appetizers. Unfortunately they were out of the bruschetta, so we ordered the truffle fries instead. You know you're at a boujee place when they don't have ranch. The tarragon aioli is pretty great though. The crispy fries were well seasoned and paired great with the aioli. After ordering a second round of drinks (can't beat half price and heavy pours!) we ordered some more food. We asked for the fish tacos, the ahi nachos, the shrimp flatbread, and the Caesar salad with steak. The wait time for food was a bit long for how empty the restaurant was. Every bite was delicious! The ahi nachos were killer and the portion was huge as an appetizer/entree option. The fish tacos were great but the fish itself was just slightly under seasoned. The shrimp flatbread was interesting and delicious with a perfect spice level. Overall a great evening/early dinner at Champagne and Chocolate filled with great food and drink pairings at great happy hour prices. It was about $140 for 5 glasses of wine, 3 appetizers, one salad, and one entree. I will certainly be back, gotta try the chocolates next! Yum!

    Is there non-alcoholic drink options-mocktails?

Yup, they have some NA champagnes and whatnot as well as mocktails. The mocktails aren't on the menu I don't think, but they can juice something up

Is it appropriate to bring a 10 and 14 year old for brunch?

Yes they have an area away from the bar for families

A fun and unique way to sort cocktails. They also have a selection of beer on draft and wine. The drinks can also be made into mocktails- a win for our group since we had a few non-drinkers. The 1859 mocktail was great. Perfectly sweet with a small hit of miso flavor from the miso honey. Probably even better and more balanced with the whiskey! Also, when the hours say until close, I believe the bartender was ready to work until we were done. We didn't feel forced to finish up at all. The drink menus are massive and I mean massive. My first drink was a "New Rum Fashioned" which was a 3/5 for me. A little too sweet and muddled. My second drink was a 5/5. Chase Hasty and his wife have traveled around the world to over 25 countries sharing their magical talent and ballet dancing skills. My favorite part of the show was when Chase brought out a locked box and Hoisted the box with a rope up to the ceiling and told this guy to watch the box. Later in the show they opened the box, it was a pretty impressive trick!!! One not to be forgotten!! It's a small production but well thought out with couple extra dancers and costumes changes. I love that Chase, picks people out of the audience to help with the show. Maddox was a return kid that had been practicing his magic and Chase let him perform in front of the audience and what is that called "That's Magic!!!" It's nice the performers will met you afterwards in the hallway to have pictures and ask questions. It's a great family night or you can come to the later show at 9pm for a little more risky nocturnal show. I'll have to save that one for another time!

I came here for a high tea experience on a Sunday in February and it was delightful! The tables…read morewere already set as we walked in with cute unique teacups. We sat down and ordered the tea we liked. We each got to choose our own tea and was told we could try as many as we want. I liked the pacing; I was able to have a long conversation with my friend without feeling rushed and no interruptions. Everything that came out was delicious. The scone was a little too flaky, in my opinion, but was still very tasty. It didn't look like a lot of food, but we were both very satisfied. I am definitely going to bring my Mom back for this. Also, the mini cakes here (not included in high tea) are absolutely gorgeous. They are not too sweet, and remind me of what I used to get at cafes in Japan. My favorite that I've tried so far is the blueberry cake. I love them all though. Can't wait to try more!

It doesnt seem like they'll seat you early, so show up just a few minutes before your reservation. I think there is adequate parking out front as its in a shopping center. They brought out our tea first. We ordered the breakfast blend, which was a loose leafed tea. It was fine. It is all served in smaller tea cups, so fellas, pinkies out! There is a picture of the food we were served, and everything tasted really good! Even the stuff that didn't match our taste preferences. It looks like they have a different menu of food items each month. Note that they will not make substitutions to the food that is being served unless you have a food allergy. In addition to afternoon tea, they also have coffee, desserts, and gelato that can be purchased. We were so full that we didn't take any extra sweets home with us. Sophie was our server and was super friendly and offered to answer any questions we had. For the price, and the quality of food, I'd come back for the regular afternoon tea.
