If I had three wishes, I'd ask for more classes (or better class time), more machines (or duplicates of the most used ones), and kidcare hours on Friday and the weekends - but you can't have everything, right?

I was told two Olympic sized pools and come to find out that the indoor pool was ten feet shorter than Olympic size and they have for the outdoor pool one third of the size as the one indoors and a kids pool! That's it ! Everything is confusing when you walk in! And plus they charged me $100 plus $40 just to sign up! Forget that! There's ATC right down the street that I can $25 for and go to all 20 of them! It's just not worth it to me ! There's only one Germantown athletic club and fifty other clubs that have more than one! I will not be coming back to this one !

Second, The Kickstarter is a series of five small 1:1 sessions to assess your fitness and allow you to quickly become a butt kicking class member. This is done by testing strength, flexibility, and endurance. Last is the level program that allows everyone to do the same workout while having modifications built in based on the assessments mentioned above. This has the added benefit of the trainers being able to meet you where you are. I showed up because of word of mouth and would love to pay that forward. It is worth coming in and see for yourself. Ask lots of questions and see if you are not impressed by the team!

I have an auto immune disease that has caused chronic pain for many years, so I decided to give it a try. I wasn't expecting much, but figured I was only spending less than an hour of my time to find out, so it was worth the risk. Upon arrival you fill out a quick questionnaire on their computer & your stretcher takes you to a table. It's a large open room with great windows. Julian was my provider & I was so impressed by him. He was well educated & experienced & applying to physical therapy school. He was polite & professional yet very personable. He took time to make sure I was comfortable & we chatted companionably through the visit. I have had intense back pain across my hips for years that nothing has been able to fix. I noticed when I went to get up from the table to leave, I was able to get up on my own which NEVER happens! I thought it felt nice & I felt looser than any time I do stretching myself. I don't know what he did, but within an hour of leaving there, the back pain was gone! It has been a week since I went & it has not returned!!! I never expected this & cannot wait to go back. There was absolutely no pressure to sign any contract or commit day of which is a huge turn off to me when places do that. If you have a reputable company & great service, I will want to return after taking the time to throughly consider it, I don't like feeling pressured to immediately purchase/invest or commit to anything. There was none of that. The pricing structure is very clear & displayed on the front desk, nothing deceptive about it to me. It is not a cheap thing, but rather an investment in yourself, your body & your happiness living in it. I believe the least expensive option was $200 a month for a once a week visit, but there are some discounts available for healthcare workers & such. If it is something you can afford, I would not hesitate to try it out. The whole experience was wonderful & I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my family & friends. I'm still blown away by my back pain not returning. I will be buying the membership that works for my time & budget & can't wait to use it & reap the benefits. She asked me some quick questions about my overall health/fitness, current work out types, and my overall fitness goals then signed me up to begin the following week. She also informed me that the week trial translated to three sessions. I showed up the next week for my 8am session and it was much like what I expected: an all-women, bootcamp style workout. We went through a warm up, partnered up for circuit training, and recorded our individual workouts on worksheets. Two days later, I returned for my second session, which was much like the first. The other ladies were super encouraging, but I just wasn't feeling it. I also didn't like that the instructor joked both times about how much tougher this workout probably was for me than the one I currently do. I know he was trying to be funny, but the jokes became overkill by the second session. Also, there was this awkward moment when I suddenly realized why men should wear compression underwear, especially if they're going to train a room full of women... I decided not to return for my third session.
