My usual provider couldn't get me in for an eye exam until August, so I decided to try somewhere new--and I'm really glad I did. From start to finish, the team at Eyeglass World was great. The person who checked me in for my appointment was friendly and efficient, the doctor was professional and thorough, and the staff member who helped me with my glasses was kind and helpful without being pushy. I really appreciated that I could browse frames freely on my own without someone hovering over me. Pricing was very reasonable--I ended up getting two pairs of glasses, and the second pair was 40% off, which made a big difference. Overall, a smooth and affordable experience. The only hiccup I had was with my originally scheduled appointment--they wanted me to see a remote doctor from his home. While I work in technology and support innovation, there are just some things I prefer to do face-to-face, especially something as personal as an eye exam. Needed help deciding between two pairs and the employees were super helpful in helping me decide. They were able to find my insurance by looking me up by name and birthday. I didn't even have to pull out my card. And even better, they immediately knew which benefits I already used and which I was still eligible for this calendar year. The price with insurance was less than I typically pay at my eye doctor. I paid with credit card. That was a Sunday. My glasses came by mail on Thursday. 4 days!!! They fit perfectly. I can see. My optometrist was great, very kind as always. Majority of staff were sitting around, laughing and chatting. That's fine when there is downtime and no customers to assist, but when it's me and five others in the store, it's really unprofessional. I used to get so much assistance in past years from great employees, but the current hires now just don't do that.
