Dr.Anita M. Cichon is excellent. When I explained my vision had changed she made the necessary adjustments and provided me with the the sample contacts to trial to insure they corrected my vision. The office is very small, which is fine but seriously limits space and selection of lenses. They also don't answer the phone during posted open business hours and their answering machine says they are closed which isn't the case. Lastly, I have eye insurance that doesn't cover much and the optometrist wrote for an expensive medication instead of telling me there is a much cheaper identical equivalent of the benign medication that I should have been prescribed instead to begin with. I had to research myself to find out that the medications have the same mechanism of action but one costs much less. More importantly they should tell their patients about medication options instead of living in fear. Despite me taking the medication for years without doctor or insurance issue, the optometrist was too scared she'd get in trouble if she wrote for the less expensive medication. So I unfortunately ended up finding out this optometrist is against continuity of care out of fear that prescribing the less expensive med (which treats the exact same thing) wouldn't be covered as medically necessary and get her in trouble. Lesson learned, seen an ophthalmologist. People are terrified to prescribe the most innocuous medications these days. It's infuriating to have to hunt for confident prescribers. This is unfortunately not uncommon to find prescribers too scared to do their jobs, but it's completely unfounded and puts more work and cost on the patient. read more

I had the distinct pleasure of having my eyes given 'the once over' today at an independent optometrist location called eye couture. The space itself is EXTREMELY inviting and warm. The colors and furniture seemed like something out of a very swanky or posh hotel. The chairs screamed HEY SIT DOWN, STAY A WHILE. While the chandelier said get up put your black tie on and let's dance! For the weather to have been as bad as it's been the waiting area was impeccably maintained. Some place you would not mind waiting IF you had to wait, unlike a lot of the bigger cookie cutter chain stores. To describe the appearance in a place it would be a Miami, New York, or Milan In addition to the office itself, the selection was interesting. Kate spade, coach, some very sleek indies, as well as 'the usual suspects'. My better half was with me to insure that the eyewear I picked was "appropriate" and she went on and on about the selection; styles, colors, and name brands. Did I you tell that Oakley and Gucci are coming soon. Guess what, Oakley and Gucci are coming soon. Enough about the icing. Let's taste the cake! When I arrived there was a buzz of activity. Several people moved around the inside all in some aspect of the exam process. A young lady in medical attire and a man in some (what else would you expect) really chic glasses, greeted my wife and I very warmly. After a few questions I was prepped and ready for what I anticipated to be a long wait. WOW was I surprised. I was in the back in no time while the boss remained up front w/a young woman w/long curly dark hair. Trying on several different pairs of glasses. GREAT customer service. The Doctor. Anita Chicon was GREAT. Very professional, courtesy, AND thorough. She took her time with me and went over every step of the exam. While there were other people in the waiting room she never made me feel rushed or hurried. Kudos. They accepted my insurance and processed my paperwork lickity split. Based on my exam today. I see a lot more trips to eye couture. I always say. I vote w/my $$ and my feet. Eye couture, expect to see more of me my $$ and my clan!!! You make THIS look GOOD!!! read more

1st time customer and a walk-in. I found Dr. Cichon very open, knowledgeable, efficient and unrushed. Exam was thorough and went smoothly. I met a few of the office staff and each one was attentive, listened and explained things well and while busy still were focused on me as the patient rather than someone to deal with while still waiting to get back to other work. I was looking for a particular style of glasses and they found one not on display. The frames and lenses I got were very good quality and at a mid-standard price. I can be a bit fussy about how glasses fit but after a couple of weeks of wear all is still good. I was in the middle of the PRK process and was unhappy with my current eye doctor. When looking for recommendations, I had 2 people suggest Dr. Cichon and I quickly realized why. Her entire staff has been extremely accommodating. They have worked with TLC to schedule my appointments, they fit me in quickly and were extremely helpful. The office is clean, comfortable and welcoming. Their equipment is new and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. The location is convenient with tons of parking. I have now been seen multiple times for my PRK Followup. They are always running on time and are extremely organized and thorough. I never feel rushed and I never feel like I've wasted my time. we weren't happy with where we had been going. my hubby asked me to look around. after some searching, we went with this place. it took a few weeks to get in. the day finally arrived. the office is very nice. i am in love with the crystal light fixture over the front desk. it was packed with people. we got in & out with our eye exams with the doctor. she seemed fairly nice. in fact, the whole staff seemed very friendly. we picked our frames, & left, happy knowing we would have them soon. we got the call, they were in. tom's were a perfect fit, no problem. i put mine on. i sighed. they did not listen to me about my lenses. my neck goes a little differently than most. because of that, i hold my neck differently. we told them all of this, & that my gradual bifocals needed to be set differently. looking through the lenses was like looking through the looking glass with alice at a carnival. so, they redid my lenses, said was i sure because this company wasn't going to make another pair for me! i thought, that wasn't even my fault! they called. they're in. i went in & got them. in less than a week of having them, the left leg of the frame started flapping. it was so loose. i tried tightening it with my handy eye glass repair kit. just what it was made for! but no matter how often i tightened it, it would be loose again the next day. during this short period of time, i noticed a partial fingerprint in the film on the lenses. eh, no biggie, i thought. i then notice teeny bubbles in the left lens. i called the office, & advised the girl that answered of everything going wrong. she advised me to use 1 of their cleaning rags with a little cleaner, & try to rub out the marks. i did just that. the marks didn't come out. in fact, my lenses now had HUGE scratches from the foam ad on their rags!!! sometime during all of this, there's been so much!, the frame screw that holds the lens & frames in place, was now coming loose like the leg! then, while putting my glasses down on a table, the leg flipped open & they fell, causing another scratch in the lens! i also noticed that my magnetic clip on shades were losing their tint on the bottom. i was furious! i called again, explained the latest. they said come on in! went in. had a list so as not to forget anything! i was at 8 issues! they said they would redo the lenses! they let me keep my glasses until the new stuff came in., but i left the shades so they could be matched with the magnets they put in the lenses. she also "buffed" the shades & they seemed ok. they called to say the new lenses were in. tom & i went in. there was only 1 person working, & of course she was with someone else, an elderly couple picking out new glasses. we sat there for over 45 mins. we left, had things to do. i went again. they were closed on a monday! i went in again. we looked at the glasses, thought they looked great. then she went to give me the shades. her face dropped. they hadn't put in the magnets in the lenses!!! i could only shake my head, then laugh! seriously? all on my glasses? i have never.......i left. they called, i went back. they finally, seemed right! yay! she gave me the lenses she just took out. in case. she said she had tightened all the parts with screws. home again, home again, jiggety jog! within 2 weeks, both screws were loose, the shades are still flaking. some of this may not be in precise order. i didn't realize i had to take notes for a pair of glasses. this all took place in less than 6 months. as i said before, the staff was nice enough, but..... i've been wearing glasses since the 3rd grade. we get new glasses every 2 years. we don't go cheap when we get new 1's. for the money, & time, we invested in these, we will not be back. read more

The girls at the front desk are really nice. But always be prepared to wait a minimum of 30 minutes past your scheduled appointment to be seen. They do not have moderately priced glasses. I haven't seen a frame under $200. Then add lenses and everything, you're lucky to spend under $500.00. Frames are limited as well. read more

My husband and I started going here this past year and thank goodness! The staff is amazing. The doctor is wonderful! My husband has vision issues that we were unaware of until we came here. Every other eye doctor just brushed him off saying that his vision was as good as it would ever be, but I kept pressing for him to go somewhere else and find an answer! Then we found Eye Couture! Dr Cichon is amazing. She has spent MONTHS researching and ordering trial contacts for my husband and finally we found something that works! I almost cried when he told me he can finally see and never realized how bad his vision was until it got fixed! We went to dinner the other night and it was the first time in 7 years he didn't squint to read the menu. This place has literally CHANGED my husbands life! I cannot thank them or their staff enough for their hard work and dedication to my husband. It is truly a blessing we found them and I would recommend ANYONE to go! We feel like family now! read more
