Dr. Ana Nielsen, her husband and the rest of the team at The Eye Site are all delightful and make the trip to the doctor a breeze. I was in and out in roughly 45 minutes. Tried Eye Site for annual exam. Technician did normal screening, but said retinal screening would be extra. Said no thank you as my former optometrist always does it and there are no problems. When Dr. Nielson saw I had a floater she sent me back to the technician for a retinal screening. She also assumed I had eye mites because of a little crusty flake in my lashes. Wanted me to get a prescription that cost $623.00. No thanks, use Tea Tree oil preparation, $30.00. To top everything off, when I picked up glasses the left eye correction was so bad I could not focus on anything. Was told to wear them continuously starting the next day for a week. I did that and it helped somewhat, but could not read through lower correction. I did not go back to have the lenses checked as I did not have that much invested. I went to Eye Site in Meridian to get an examination to take to DMV to renew my drivers license. I am 81 years old and thought I might not pass using their equipment at the DMV. I saw Dr Renee Rowley and she gave me a complete exam. The doctor and staff were very thorough and gave me a prescription for new glasses. Dr Rowley filled out the paperwork for DMV and I passed to get my divers license paperwork that day. The cost for the exam was very reasonable and I highly recommend this company. read more

The Eye Site failed miserably to see the opportunity to attract a new customer. I called to ask if I could schedule an appointment to get my Silhouette frames adjusted. With COVID-19 running rampant, I didn't want to take a chance by showing up in case there were restrictions in place with the number of people allowed in the office. The receptionist was in the process of scheduling me an appointment. She tried looking me up in their system, however, I explained that I had recently moved to the area, and I had not purchased the glasses or frames at their shop. She told me that because I had not purchased the glasses from them, I would have to pay $15 to make any adjustment to my glasses. The fact that they are charging anything to make a minor adjustment to my frames is ridiculous. Then, I considered how much they charge for this adjustment which would probably take less than 10 minutes--highway robbery! So, when it comes to renewing my prescription in 6 months, I will remember how 'The Eye Site' wanted to nickel and dime me with the fee they charge to make a simple adjustment. I will be happy to spend more than $650 for a new pair of glasses and frames elsewhere. Buyer beware! read more

The Optometrist and staff were very pleasant and easy to work with. They took time to provide me and my husband with excellent service. My husband was excited to learn they carried Maui Jim sunglasses. Much cheaper than flying back to Maui for new lenses. Overall they earned an A+ from us. read more

The initial visit with the female doctor was ok but not great. Seemed knowledgeable but got the feeling she was wanting to do more and more yearsy that costs extra. Really high prices on glasses but I kind of was expecting that from a stand alone office. Horrible customer service. Rude staff. Worst off they hold your prescription hostage. After my initial visit I could tell they didn't want me to leave with my glasses prescription but I wasn't leaving without it. They conveniently didnt write down my contacts prescription and I thought I could just call in later and get it, WRONG!! I've gone in and called now, and I'm well within my one my year and they won't give me my prescription because apparently I didn't call awhile ago and tell them I liked or disliked the contacts the have me as a trial set so my prescriptions wasn't "finalized", so I'll need another exam again funny thing is at the beginning of the call she even told me I was within my year window for my prescription and it was valid but changed their tune when I told them I wanted a copy of it. What kind of inter office lingo is that, finalized your prescription? I asked them "so you won't give me a copy", "no you'll have to come back in for another eye exam". Never had such an issue. They just want more visits and more money. Ignore all the Google positive reviews because they are solicited after you go for a visit they want you to leave a good review. Always fishy when one office has hundreds of positive reviews but most offices only have a like 20 overall. read more

The Eye Site has been great, especially with our kids. Everyone here does a great job but I especially appreciate how good they are at helping us quickly find glasses that will look good on us. They are always straight forward with me about pricing. The glasses and contacts I have bought here fit better and last longer than the glasses I used to get from Costco. read more

Stopped by to see if my sunglasses could be repaired. I was met at the door during this challenging time in health by the most friendly and smiling optometrist. She didn't promise that my glasses could be repaired. I waited outside while she worked her magic...YES, she repaired my glasses. BUT the most important thing here is that I will definitely return here for other services because the friendly, kind customer service made my day. I drove away smiling because of it! I had to get new lenses when my eyesight changed drastically. I just bought them a couple months before this incident. I originally had the transition lenses dark when I went outside. Then it was very frustrating to have to bring them back THREE more times to darken the lenses. They never got them dark like the first time and now I have to wear sunglasses over my glasses!! I am not happy with how uncoordinated they were as far as making the lenses darker and how it ended up being a three week job! I'm never going back there again! read more

Initially, I scheduled an appointment for my husband but I was also able to be seen. My appointment was 40 minutes long and everyone was so amazing! From working with Tori with insurance and scheduling, to Tianna and Dr. Nielson for the eye exams and finally April helping me find frames and lenses, I just couldn't get over the amount of professionalism we experienced. The office was nice and clean and even had a play room for kids! The books in there were awesome and my kids had fun while waiting for my husbands appointment. The two doctors are great. The staff is great except for one lady whose name I can't remember. For the five years I have gone there she has been rude. When I call and she answers she is rude. When I am there and have to talk to her she is rude. Two weeks ago I was there and asked her to set up two appointment for my kids she looked at me then back to her files. I asked so is that a no? she looked at me again walked alway. I decided to take my kids elsewhere. Finely they told me they won't bill two insurances and I have to pay them then the bill to the second insurance. I found out from the insurance company that they are required to bill them. For those two reasons I will not be back. read more
