I took in RayBan frames to have the lenses replaced and they lost them or one of the employees took them. Hailey tried to tell me these cheap frames I got back were the same ones I took in. Not true. They don't even fit my head (too small). Brand new. My frames were worn as they were my favorite sunglasses. I am furious. Hailey tells me they should have collected the money up front but for whatever reason they only collected fees for one pair of glasses when I brought them in. The first frames came back in about 4 weeks and when I asked about the sunglasses I was told it would be another 2 weeks. When I went in to pick them up, I had to remind her I needed to pay or she wouldn't even have collected the money. This is all very suspicious. I think they lost them or decided to take them for themselves. I am furious Hailey would even try to pass the cheap frames off that I received back. Very upset read more

My eyeglasses got twisted an bent in an accident. Ada Optical saw me as a walk-in while I waited, fixed the bent frames and didn't charge me anything. You cannot get better service than that. read more

We went to the wrong Ada vision office. The two women in the front were extremely snotty. Very unprofessional. We are not from this area and I explained how I made a mistake and asked if they could help us with information on the correct office. We were told no and we were treated terrible. I have gone to Ada Vision Center for over 15 years. Things started to change when Dr Simonson left and then Dr Noble retired. The staff is entirely new and I have not seen the same doctor for 2-3 years now. I was not impressed with the front desk staff and I was not overly impressed by my exam. Terrible experience. The 5 gals working at the front desk all gave me different information, and at one point went into an office to discuss my situation - and I heard them talking very negatively about me as I was standing just outside the door. Then, I asked to speak to the office manager, Hailey. When she came out of her office she was quite annoyed, and as I explained what had happened, she told me that I sounded like I walk talking in circles. However, she was right and that was exactly the point.....I had been run around in circles by the conflicting information from the front desk. Unfortunately, she did not see the irony in what she said. They also charged me $100 more for my exam than they quoted on the phone. And, their selection of frames is very limited. These guys are fantastic! I have never needed eyeglasses before, so I did not really know what I was in for. Ada vision made it a smooth and pleasant process. After having an eye exam, we determined that some glasses would benefit me. The doc determined what prescription was right for me and then sent me in the lobby to look through their glasses. I found a pair I love, but my only regret is that I did not spend more time looking. When I came in to pick them up, I found a pair on a wall I didn't look at that I liked more. Sigh. You live and learn. The prescription felt a bit off and wasn't sitting well with my left eye. I tried out my glasses for a week or so and couldn't shake it, so I requested a prescription check (these sort of appointments are free). After going back in, we were able to figure out what was off and get it corrected. About two-ish weeks ago, I picked up my glasses and they are exactly what my eyes need! Overall, friendly staff, great doctors, awesome eye glasses selection, and excellent customer service! Highly recommend. read more

I appreciate the friendly, warm reception desk, getting the initial testing with Michele who is both capable and informative, then always promptly see Dr Noble. He remembers my particulars from previous visits, is very informative, answers all my questions, and exudes calm and competence. Dr Noble explains the options for prescription glasses but has never pushed me to purchase eyewear in their office. I really appreciate that professionalism. I has the worst experience at Ada vision center. I had gone to Ada vision at the end of December 2020. The Dr. We saw said that she was giving me an exam for reading and distance glasses and for myy contact Lenses She asked if I need contacts at that tme I said no, because I had just bought a 6 month supply back in August. I asked the Dr. When I need them, will the RX. for my contact be available? she said yes. When I called to order my contact lenses Ada Vision they said I had to come back in for another eye exam for the contact lenses. I told the people at the front desk the Dr. Mandy Moor had stated she gave an exam for everything. They no. I asked for an apt. They They had ok one for Tue. 11th at 1:20. I went to my apt. They said my apt. Was for the 18th. I explained that I may be starting my new job on the 17th so I can't keep that apt. I asked if they are open on Saturday they said no. I then want how I am supposed to get an exam.? She said tell them that you need to go to the Dr. I told her how can you ask to leave early the day after you start your new job?? She said you ask. I told her I can't do that, it's right. They changed for a comprehensive exam $739.00 just for reading glasses. And now they want to charge that much again for a contact lenses RX. What a Rip off. I called my Dr in L. A. and told them that I was willing to make the 12 hour Drive to get my exam and order my contact lenses. Dr. Samet office said knowing that I have moved to Boise Id. They will have a 1 year supply shipped directly to my house no need to make the drive. NOW THAT is customer service. read more

I was seen by Amber L. Simonson, OD, but before the appointment even began I was already impressed by how friendly, professional, kind, and warm the staff was. Especially the gal who ran me through all of the machines to measure this and that. I typically don't overly enjoy visiting the eye doctor on behalf of my poor vision, but everyone I encountered made me feel comfortable and confident in their knowledge and specialty in what they were doing. Dr. Simonson was also fantastic and practical and helped educate me about a variety of things from my eyesight to my new prescription and even the fit of my glasses. She was informative and helpful without ever being pushy and she also helped me understand more about my glasses than anyone ever has. Highly recommend! read more

This was my first time visiting Ada Vision Center and I was very pleased with my experience. Amber Simonson was my optometrist and she was very nice and thorough. I felt she demonstrated excellent communication skills and took plenty of time to explain the tests and answer any questions I had. The optician did a great job also and was very friendly. They had a great selection of both glasses and sun glasses. I felt a little overwhelmed with all the choices, but they quickly pointed out several frame selections that complimented my face shape and size. I was also surprised to learn that the optometrists are available 24/7 for eye trauma and emergencies...this is great to know and an excellent service to offer. Hope I never need it but comforting to know its there! read more

I really felt the Dr was thorough and explained her findings, and answered my questions clearly so I understood. Selection of frames is good, although there aren't a huge variety of styles. Selection of sunglasses is pretty low but they're expecting more in later in the spring. Had a problem with original lenses, they replaced no questions asked. read more

Our entire family has been seeing Dr. Todd Noble & his staff for at least 3 years & have had consistently great service & attention. On the rare occasion they have had us wait, they kept us informed (& were very apologetic), but we rarely have had much of a wait time with appointments. They also have been very helpful & friendly when we've needed occasional eyeglass adjustments as a "walk-in." When my daughter got her first pair of contacts earlier this year, they were EXTREMELY patient with her during her training & even after being there *two hours,* they were very supportive in giving her the help & encouragement she needed to "get it." Really appreciate the email (or text upon request) reminders & always-courteous staff. They also don't try to push their glass frames in their own office if we didn't find a frame to purchase onsite. Dr. Noble is also great with kids (& adults), very personable. Location is great for those in the downtown/N. End area, although more parking would be nice. read more

I recently had my second visit to Dr. Huber at Ada Vision and I am just as impressed the second time as I was the first! The wait was very minimal, the staff were very helpful and friendly and Dr. Huber explained and showed me more about my eyes than any doctor has in the past! I'm impressed enough by my experience that my wife and son now have appointments as well and most likely will be switching too. Additionally the cost of my exam was quite a bit less than my previous eye doctor with the same insurance! It's not often that you find excellent care and have to pay less! read more

You're greeted warmly by the staff immediately upon entering the office, and the wait time is minimal. They were very thorough with respect to insurance billing and information, and we even laughed about the challenges of dissecting an explanation of benefits from the insurance company. Dr. Huber is awesome. She's the sweetest, little thing and is extremely knowledgeable and confident. She's very thorough, takes the time to explain everything, and just really makes you feel comfortable. I trust her with my eyeballs more than anyone and even waited out her maternity leave to make sure I was able to see her again for follow-up after having an emergency laser procedure to fix a hole in my retina. All in all, I would recommend (and have) Ada Vision Center to anyone who wants to keeps those peepers safe and functional, and have a pleasant time doing so. read more

Terrible experience. Took in my broken glasses in May 2021. The frames were still under warranty. Never got the frames back. Endless excuses and at one point, a straight up lie - "they were delivered, but to the wrong address". No returned phone calls. The only response I got was to a bad review. I'm guessing they didn't want to appear unresponsive to the public or to potential customers. The suggestion at that time was "I could call anytime they are open", so I did - No Response! EVER!!! These glasses cost me over $300 and that was after my insurance paid their part. Today is the beginning of September, and still no glasses! Run don't walk somewhere, anywhere else!!! Completely incompetent and unprofessional. I have been calling continuously for about 3 weeks trying to figure out various issues I've had with them regarding my prescription and have NEVER received a callback. I've left messages with the office admin., had reception leave my name and number with whomever this is, I even left an inquiry on their website, and have called multiple times a day trying to reach someone that knows how to do their job and can just get me my CORRECT prescription (i won't even go into how difficult that was). I am not the type of person to ever write a review and I completely understand mistakes, but this is no way to run your business if you want to keep clients that have been coming to you for 11 years!! Very sad and disappointed because I do love the optometrists there but this all could have been solved in a timely manner if ONE person could have returned my call. I will be going elsewhere in the future. Hoping this poor review will get a response, seeming that's one thing you can respond to. read more

Before this my experience had been positive with Ada Vision, however that changed quickly for the worse. In December I had an eye exam and was told I needed two different prescriptions, one for close up and one for far. Because, my insurance was about to reset, I had the close up lens put in frames I had previously bought from them, from day one the glasses were terrible, I haven't been able to wear them. I recently called and asked if they would change the lenses (because they are unwearable) to the distant lenses and they told me I would have to pay another $90 to get them changed and in useable order, not acceptable in my book. Also, the hours of business are absolutely atrocious if you work a normal 9 to 5 as they lock up at 5. Very unfortunate experience, very frustrated and very disappointed. I guess I will have to find somewhere else to do business, maybe a national chain or the internet as shopping local was a bust. read more

Went for my annual eye exam. Same old routine as any other optometrist. Waited for over 20 mins in the exam room waiting on the doctor which was annoying but other than that no complaints. Customer service was friendly. My insurance covered the exam. I did not buy new glasses there because the prices were quite high. Overall if you need an eye exam this place is fine. read more
