Way too overpriced for the quality of cut. Got charged $50 for a basic men's cut that wasn't anymore special than Great Clips.

We first took my son to the Madison location for his first haircut down by Jose. He did a good job but barely spoke to my son at all throughout the process. My husband also got his haircut and it was a great haircut but again Jose hardly interacted with him and often paused to check and be on his phone. The time we spent there could easily have been halved if he had been professional and off his phone. The second time I took my son in we had an appointment with Jose. We waited 90 minutes and still had someone in front of us waiting. My son was 2. Making him wait that long as it was is unacceptable. We ended up leaving with no service done and nothing offered for our insane wait. Again, Jose was frequently on his phone and even stopped to talk to someone who came in to see him - it was a personal visit. No one seemed to care or apologize or even acknowledge our presence. This place does great haircuts but their lack of professionalism is why we won't be returning ever again. read more

Just moved here to HSV and I thought I found a great and reliable shop. When I made my first appointment months ago it got canceled by them because the barber was out which if fine because they notified me the day of. I had since gone back many times and got some great cuts. But I went in today for my appointment about 5 min early and the door was locked. I waited in my vehicle till about 20 min after when my appointment was scheduled and still no one was there. I even got a text the morning of reminding me of my appointment. I had to take time out of my busy day to come here and now they have lost a customer for good. Which is a bummer because I really liked this place. read more

Was tired of going to the basic quick clips kind of places, so decided to go for a nice but affordable barber. The Fade Factory fit the bill and was a surprisingly satisfying experience without breaking the bank. My hair and beard cut was performed by the owner so I was in great hands. However, upon observing the others cutting hair as well they all had focus and determination in the work they were doing. Truly a place of focus and passion for hair. In addition to the hot towel treatment, nice TVs, mirrors, lighting, and vibes, I was impressed with the little waiting area for kids or whom ever to enjoy while waiting. They had a PS4 which was a nice modern touch seldom seen. We made an appointment over the phone which was easy and breezy. Only critique would be the clean up after the cut. Perhaps because it was closing time, or the sheer difficulty to accomplish this, but there were quite a few of stray hair left on my face and neck after the cut which would have meant a for sure shower or rinse needed to happen if you needed to go to an event later that day. (Not a crazy amount, but enough to notice and feel) Overall, I'd gladly go back to this place and am so happy to have found it. A hidden gem in Huntsville. read more

This a tough review. The place was actually great. The atmosphere was great, definitely a place where you can sit, be comfortable, and chat. The barbers were friendly. But overall, disappointed with the cut and shave. When I got from the cut I had to shave several chunks that were missed and run some clippers on my head for small little hairs here and there. My husband actually took off work and drove out of his way to the location, so it's incredibly disappointing. One man at the shop tried to call the barber, but he did not answer. The haircut was great, too bad it was nothing like I asked for. My hair before the haircut was about 7 or 8 inches on top and 4ish inches on the sides. I asked for about 3 inches on the side and 4 - 5 inches on top. Instead I was given about 3 1/2 inches on the top, and less than an inch on the side. read more

I just moved to the area and have been looking for a good place to get my hair cut. I found this company through google and loved the fact that they serviced women's fade styles. The young lady over the phone told me that they had extended hours the day before Thanksgiving, which was perfect for my work schedule. I arrived about 10 minutes before my appointment. When I walked in everyone just looked at me and went back to business. I didn't get a hello, nor a may we help you, not even a head nod. I waited a little while and was still never acknowledged. I get that they were in the middle of cutting hair, but even when one barber was in between customers, they still did not even take the time to at least say that someone will be with you in a minute. It's a great barber shop in a great central position off of US HWY 72. They just added a banner due to its in the plaza and it can be easily missed. The barbers may look young however, they have the experience and can cut various (ethnicity) styles of hair. This barber shop has some classy barbers with all of them dressed in nice attire as well. Limited seating area, so call ahead to make an appointment, but I was a walk-in and they were able to accommodate me as well. From various barbers in town, they were pricey due to it cost $25 for (Skin fades with beard trim). There wasn't no long wait time either. He gave me a great haircut and I was eager to come back because I thought I had found my go to place (I live in Decatur and drive over because I loved it so much). Today, I got no-showed again and 30 minutes after my appointment time asked what was going on. I was told my guy wasn't feeling well but after waiting with my son for 30 minutes couldn't push my day back anymore. You get a great cut, don't get my wrong. Zero commitment to the client. Our barber didn't even show up for our appointment. We waited 20min and he wasn't even at the salon and none of the other hairdressers seemed to care or even bothered to let us know what was going on, nor tried to squeeze us into their schedule. We had the appointment for our toddler son, so waiting there without a clue of when or whether the hairdresser would show up was out of the question. Breath of fresh air. To get your hair cut at an urban barbershop you often have to endure long waits, faulty HVAC, loud music, and language that is inappropriate for wives and children. My experience at The Fade Factory was the complete opposite. Their appointment system works, the environment is upscale and professional, and the barbers are polite and talented. Some barbers make you look presentable in the chair but a couple days later you have uneven spots. Not this barber. Impressed. Went to Fade Factory today after an appointment at another barber had to be canceled. Talk about happy accident. Maurice cut my hair just the way I like it, skin fade, scissor cut with a hard part. Nailed it. Just like Whiskers and Roosters, you can get a wash and conditioner with a hot towel, but this included a face and hand massage. I've already scheduled my next hair cut and I'll likely just pay the annual fee since I already get my hair cut 3x a month anyways. Great job Fade Factory! read more

This place is awesome! I've gotten a haircut from three different barbers and all of them have been amazing. Prices are all very reasonable and there are multiple different options as to what you can purchase almost to the point where you can customize your own cut. Definitely going to be getting my haircut here while I am in Huntsville! read more
