We did the standard farm tour that includes a 5 minute wagon ride, where kids can drive! And then you go to the farm. On this last trip, there was a little confusion on the tour portion. I think they didn't realize our whole group was waiting. I ended up going up and found someone who managed to find one of the Amish women to give us a tour. On the tour, you'll see baby animals, feed the horses, bottle feed a calf, see baby chicks, and pigs. Then at the end, you can reach under chickens and pull out eggs from the nest. My kids could have stayed here all day. They also have a playground on site, tricycles, and a little shop where you can buy dairy products. Definitely worth a stop here!

However what they put us on was the regular Armish farm fun $22 per person for 1 hour. The difference is the combo one includes gardening and barrel train ride. But anyway, we realized it as the tour ended after one hour. We didn't bring it up since my children actually wanted to leave because of the hot summer heat. I will recommend the $22 basic tour. It was packed with action and after one hour, my kids had enough of the farm ( we also visited the miniature horse farm next door before this) and long for AC. The tour started with a hayride around the farm, about 8 min ride. Then we went indoor at the animal barns to cuddle: chicken, ducklings, bunnies, kittens, piglets , feed Cheetos to pigs and watch them go down the slides, bottle feed the cows, milk a cow and collect eggs ( pick one up and put in a basket). It was fulled of actions. Strongly recommended this $22 basic farm tour. While you are waiting for your tour, you can kill time by playing at the playground ( under full sun) or go indoor to the corn box for free.

The yoga session itself was fantastic, and the baby goats were the stars of the show! I smiled more in that hour than I have in a long time. It's impossible to be stressed, unhappy, or take yourself too seriously when baby goats are climbing on you and demanding attention. If you're even remotely considering goat yoga, stop thinking about it and sign up. Seriously. It was one of the most fun and joyful experiences I've ever had, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I visited Clear Meadow Farm for the first time in my 3-4 years in Baltimore, and I'm glad I checked…read morethem out. Located about 40-45 minutes away from the city, the farm is easy to find (just type in the address on their website). The entry fee is very reasonable at $5 per car, and they also sell some food (i.e. chips, drinks, baked goods, pulled pork sandwiches) as well as sunflowers up front. Food wasn't particularly memorable but not bad, and the sunflowers were quite the deal (only $1 per stem, or 6 for $5). The actual sunflower field was reasonably sized. It was a bit difficult to navigate through the mud, and also a little hard to get good photos unless you go off the trail and into the flower beds (which you're not supposed to do), but the sunflowers were still pretty. Overall very glad I visited. Not sure if I'd necessarily make the trip out again anytime soon, but I definitely recommend it if you have not gone before!

Every once in a while, social media serves you something so ridiculous that there's only one…read morereasonable response. "Yep. I'm doing that." So when Destiny Dairy Bar showed up on my feed talking about "come snuggle piglets for $25!" there was no internal debate. No hesitation. No weighing the pros and cons. I immediately booked a Piglet Snuggle Session. Honestly...I don't think I've ever typed my credit card number faster. Booking online was incredibly easy, and from the moment I reserved my spot, Destiny Dairy Bar knocked the customer service out of the park. They sent multiple emails leading up to my appointment explaining exactly what to expect, reminding me about my reservation and providing the required waiver ahead of time so there weren't any surprises when I arrived. Five stars before I even touched a pig! I arrived about 15 minutes early and checked in at the farm store. The staff couldn't have been friendlier. They encouraged me to wander around the property until my session started, which turned out to be a great suggestion. There were goats. Cows. Adult pigs. A donkey named Pamela. And plenty of opportunities to wander around smiling at animals living their best lives. When it was time for my session, everything started right on schedule. My farm guide explained how to safely hold the piglets and then basically said..."Have fun!" Don't mind if I do! The best part? I wasn't rushed at all! I had the opportunity to hold any of the piglets I wanted but settled in with the tiniest little guy of the bunch. Three and a half pounds. Curled up in my arms. Completely asleep. For most of the twenty-minute session. I don't know if he chose me...or if I chose him...but we were best friends by the end. The staff member even offered to take photos for me, which I appreciated so much since I was visiting on my own. Instead of trying to awkwardly balance a piglet while taking selfies, I was able to simply enjoy the experience and leave with wonderful memories! PRO TIP: Arrive a little early so you have time to explore the rest of the property. The piglets may be the headline attraction, but they're definitely not the only adorable residents you'll meet. At $25 per group (up to four people), I honestly think this is one of the best values for a unique experience you'll find anywhere. Whether you're bringing kids, your partner or just embracing your inner animal lover like I did, it's twenty minutes of pure joy! Now...I do have one confession. After I got home...I may or may not have Googled plans for building a piglet house. I'm not saying I'm getting a pet pig. I'm just saying...the research has begun. Until then, I'll happily keep coming back to Destiny Dairy Bar whenever I need a piglet fix!

They hosted a build a friend for the kids and my little fella had so much fun. We were looking online at 'activity' farms (animal husbandry-horseback riding-bees, etc) in the…read morelocal area and came upon the Rose Bridge Farm. Rose Bridge is a sanctuary and working farm on land once owned by William Penn. Since 2013, the farm has become a 'forever home' for over 300 animals. Many of the animals are rescues from dairy farms, livestock auctions or other scenarios where they were at risk. They have several different activities, we opted for the Farm Fest, which combined several of the activities. The Farm Fest includes a mini farm animal husbandry tour, baby animal cuddling time, hands on craft activity, a beverage bar and an outdoor fire pit. It lasts about 2 hours. There were many parents there with children, but also adults like us by themselves. There are two times - 4-6 and 6:30-8:30. We went on the 4:00 tour. It was great! It was very interesting hearing how the animals came to the farm - it was so heartwarming to hear the stories of saving so many animals. However, I wasn't expecting the 'cuddling time' to be so much fun. We started with the goats - so friendly! They were nuzzling and 'pawing' us - I sat down and several came to me and wanted to be rubbed or held. I even had an opportunity to feed a baby goat its milk bottle! We interacted with pigs, sheep, a beautiful thoroughbred horse and a donkey! It was a very special experience! Afterwards we all went to a large barn and made crafts - specifically little planters we decorated, added dirt and seeds (large selection of flowers and vegetables seeds) to take home as a little souvenir. We had a dinner reservation so we left before the fire pit activity. Overall, it was a wonderful experience to be with these farm animals and to support such a worthwhile project.

These vendors seemed to be picked for their close to nature wares which included natural soap and scrubs, the lady Who Made cork handbags, A man and woman who made beer bottle openers out of half horseshoes, and the lady who made homemade dog treats. I was thrilled to purchase 2 handmade items from Annabelle's Wish stand. Annabelle's Wish helps children and family struggling with rare neurological disorders.
