What a cute little farm!!! My husband and I wanted to take our 1 year old son to see some farm animals up close since we were in the area last Friday. We didn't have a lot of expectations given the reviews on here but we figured we check it out for our son. We were pleasantly surprised how much fun we had! When we walked in, we were greeted by the nice staff and volunteers who told us the $4 entrance fee goes towards donations to help feed, house, and care for all the animals. We also learned that they're rescue animals. They have a variety of farm animals to feed and pet including a donkey, ponies, sheep, goats, cows, and chickens. They offer a punch card when you purchase grains to feed the animals too. Our son had so much fun with the animals. He smiled and laughed in excitement which put a huge smile on our face. Keep in mind that the farm is small but they are working hard to expand for everyone of all ages. There's a cute little rollercoaster and pony carousel. They even have a small Wild West theme town for the kids to play on. We had a great time on the farm. Definitely recommend checking this place out. We will be sure to come back again. read more

It's small and muddy, and some of the enclosures seem cramped, but you can tell the people here really love these animals. The gal at the front window told us they are all rescues. We came for a visit and got to let baby cows, rabbits, and check out the alpacas and pigs. We also let the kids go for pony rides around Gardner village. We had a great time and will be back. I just really wish the staff wore masks. Nobody but us was masked, even the handlers taking the kids on the horses. read more

I'm surprised they actually call it a farm. After I saw good reviews for this place on a different, unnamed, very popular site, my daughter and I were excited to visit today. We expected the full farm experience with petting and feeding animals, riding ponies, hay rides, etc. While this farm does technically have most of those those things, it does absolutely none of them well. The petting and feeding area is basically a single, very short muddy path, along which you will find an assortment of animals who are packed way too close together in cages that are way too small. Is it even humane the way these animals are packed together? I have no idea, but my guess is no. After asking twice for someone to help us with a pony ride, we found that it was literally a quick ride around the Gardner Village parking lot and not even on the farm property at all. On the plus side, the pony my daughter rode had a unicorn horn, and she was way into that. Lastly, the workers. There were quite a few of them there and they probably outnumbered the patrons 3 to 1, but it seemed like they were all more interested in talking amongst themselves than helping us have a good time. As I said before, we had to ask twice for someone to help us with a ride because the workers were too busy talking to pay any attention to us. It would have made a big difference if any of them had offered to help with the animals or tried to improve our experience in any way. Would not return. read more

This is such a great place to young kids birthday celebration. You get to interact with so many different animals.

Gil and staff is amazing! We spent close to 4 hours here just hanging out and feeding the animals. They make everyone feel like family! Highly Recommend! Best bang for your buck! Also Gil's jokes will have you rolling and laughing out loud!!! read more

This was a waste of money. I took my two littles after the Witch Fest and what I paid for was probably a 30x20 mud pit of animals all squeezed in different pens. The whole thing was being ran by children. A girl maybe 9 cashed me out and more kids were back man handling the bunny rabbits for people to hold. So disappointed. The whole set up is ridiculous. The walking path is smaller than a sidewalk and all MUD! So parents and children were all just pushing and trying to get out. Not to mention the smell lol I was raised on a farm in hawaii and never smelt that smell. It was like a dead body, And then when we did get to the back a garbage truck was there lifting the rubbish up over the kids heads emptying it. It couldn't have gotten worst honestly. 20$ down the drain. Thats not even mentioning the way the animals were caged and stacked on each other and how 3 cows were in a shit pile cage that was maybe 8X8. read more

One of the best places in Salt Lake Valley! I highly recommend. All members of the staff are kind and helpful. There will be mud (I mean... it is a farm), so come prepared. :) They really care for their animals there and want to help them out! Great place to visit, no matter what age you are. Worth every penny! Also for those that are complaining that the animals are in small areas (they're bigger than you think, plus they let all animals out every day to roam and play), do something and donate! A donation goes a long way to help provide the care and space the animals need. :) This is a great place that truly cares for each and every animal that comes their way. read more

They charge $2/adult, $5/child, then extra for kids to ride ponies/horses. I'm giving this a 1 star because of the filth. Yes, there's mud and poop, but the place was littered with junk everywhere, the whole place looked like an episode of hoarders, even weird animal parts in a jar, with junk and farm junk thrown all over the tables and anywhere they could stash something. The animals were not groomed, and I'm not talking winter coats, I'm talking muck and pounds of hair. Here's what really upset me, the manual labor is run by children. I saw three (well two adults one, questionable adult) and the rest was being run by children underage. One of the children even said it was super busy and that in October they were doing 9 hour days. The adults barking orders at these kids, kids handling the animals with no adult supervision. I would be embarrassed to have a child's birthday party here, honestly, should be checked out by animal services. And shame on Gardner Village for letting something like that get so out of hand. read more

We had a great time at The Farm for my daughter's birthday party! Gil and his volunteers went above and beyond to make sure the kids had a great time. The collection of animals is eclectic (alpacas and peacocks and an emu, oh my!) because they are a nonprofit animal rescue and they take in whatever animal needs help. We bottle-fed calves, hand-fed goats, snuggled baby bunnies, hugged the emu, and rode ponies. There was even a campfire for roasting marshmallows! I'm not sure who had more fun - my kids or me. read more

Great place! Rescue farm, from abused and neglect. The owner is amazing! You get amazing experience here such as hand feeding, bottle feeding and hold baby bunny's. Cuddling all the animals you love. Walk the pony's instead of the carousel. Only do carousel during October because of busy times. Takes volunteer work. read more

Fantastic little place, very friendly staff. Little ones get to bottle feed sheep, lamb, and cows. They have a decent amount of animals, all friendly. They have pony rides for kids as well. Definitely a nice place to visit. read more

We had my daughter's birthday party here. They were so wonderful and so accommodating. They set up all of the chairs and tables, had a fire going to roast hot dog's and s'mores ( they provided the skewers.) They got all the animals ready including horses and ponies to take rides. We were able to bottle-feed calves and lambs. They also have alpacas, chickens, pigs and many other animals for the children to interact, hold and play with. This is a nonprofit organization and all of the animals are rescued. It was important to me to go somewhere where the animals were treated appropriately. Most of their staff are volunteers and the animals are treated very kindly and their health is in mind at all times -as well as your child's safety. This was such a fun day and they went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. My daughter also got a gift from Gil, the owner for being the birthday girl! read more
