Was recommend this place from a local, but I would not recommend. The beach is beautiful , sand is pretty and the margaritas are solid, but we were not able to have even a few seconds of peace to enjoy our meal due to the vendors. I don't usually mind vendors, they're all around ! However, this location is especially bad - it was pretty much a vendor every 30 seconds. We only sat there for 20 minutes and had about 20 vendors come up. Food was not bad, but I wouldn't say amazing and we had to let the wait staff know a few times to check on our order as we only ordered 2 drinks, 1 ceviche but they didn't seem to recall that the order was placed. This is an outstanding seafood restaurant, a must go to place. Professionally greeted and seated on what looks like Koa wood tables by our server Eric. He was fantastic, friendly and well familiar with the menu. We ordered the fire grilled bacon wrapped jumbo prawns in a white sauce called camaron gigantic con tocino that came with a refreshing house salad a slice of vine roped cantaloupe and delightful rice pilaf with wonderfully light and refreshing infused flavors. Thee two pieces of nicely fresh buttered and a hint of garlic toast to mop up any remaining sauce on the plate was wonderful. The second dish we had was sautéed quick grilled octopus in a flavorful olive oil garlic dried roasted red chili's that packed a wholesome flavor. Of course a fresh squeeze of lemon juice made the flavors bind together. The twice cooked octopus was not over done which made the texture perfect. It's called polpo al ajillo. So awesome from those like us that totally appreciate Hawaiian fresh seafood cuisine only here in Puerto Vallarta. . We ordered the most excellent drinks a refreshing sangria flossy on fresh lemon aide and a margarita with a bite that had jalapeño s thin sliced in it. We visited this gem while walking the beach with a larger group of 10. They immediately sat us on the beach, the staff was all masked and very friendly. We ordered multiple appetizers and meals for a late lunch: oysters, ceviche, guacamole, tacos, quesadillas, etc. the staff was wonderful and worked so quickly. I would say- the ceviche was wonderful, tacos are huge. Everyone enjoyed everything that they ate. The indoor restaurant space was also very nice as well as the bathroom. Was there three months ago and decided to go back, where I would have given it a five before I would now give it a three. This was the wife's and I last night at Vidanta. I saw this restaurant on Google and decided to drive to Bucerias to check it out. I am glad that I did as it turned out to be my wife's favorite restaurant of our two week trip. We requested a table on the beach and we're accommodated. The constant stream of vendors hawking their wares was a little annoying but the food more than made up for the minor inconvenience. My wife had grilled shrimp which she loved and I had a Filet Mingon that came with a baked potato, vegetables and bread. This was a great find. read more

The family and I visited Puerto Vallarta for Thanksgiving and wanted to dine on the beach. Fat Boy was recommended by several of the locals and we were not disappointed. Fun and interactive live music, fire throwing performance, fresh and delicious seafood, all on the beach! There were 11 in our party so the service was a bit slow but staff were very attentive and friendly. Lots of little shops for souvenir shopping. Our grilled seafood platter cost 1200 pesos ($60) and was delicious and my daughter's ribeye steak was 350 grams for 500 pesos($25). And she said it was tender and perfectly cooked. This seems to be the spot if you come to Burceria. We told our cab driver to take us to a rad spot, he made a turn down a little alley that was like a flea market and just kept driving. Our family of 8 came to Nuevo Vallarta with the family to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Although we were staying at the all inclusive resort, I took the family out to have a special dinner on the beach with a sunset view. One of the taxi driver recommended Fat Boys and I had high expectation of having a nice celebratory family dinner on the beach. Food service, drinks: The waiters worked very hard and they were very nice but I will have to say the food and service is below average. We ordered 2 dz oysters and ceviche as an appetizer. The oysters didn't taste fresh. Ceviche was delicious. For dinner we ordered 2-combination #1, and 5 other dishes. When the appetizer came out far apart, I didn't think much of it. But the five dinner dishes came out 10-15 minutes apart. The 2-combination was the last to come out and we practically ate dinner separately. On the combination, the lobster was good and cooked nicely, but the shrimp was very salty and the fish was blend. Out of the five dishes that came out, we had to return 2 dishes because they were extremely salty. Even the waiter said he tried it and it was too salty. We ordered many drinks and they were okay except for Pina Coladas and Strawberry Daiquiris. Pina Coladas seemed like it had no alcohol, and Strawberry Daiquiris were too strong. Perhaps two different bartenders made them. View: The beach was so close to the table and the view would have been beautiful, but it was ruined by about 10 people playin in the water right in front of our table almost the entire time we were there. No fault of the restaurant. Because the beach was so close, so were the people in the water. Vendors: I respect the hardworking residents but they were constantly coming to our tables to sell something. The restaurant even put a "No Vendor" sign, but it didn't stop them. It was very frustrating to constantly say no, especially to the little children. This restaurant has such good reviews, but my experience was terrible. We had a group of 9 people on a Thursday night and did not make reservations. We were greeted by Eric who sat us close to the building in the beach sand. Place has a lot of charm as it has a thatched roof and people have wrote their names in the wood posts. Very attentive staff and we had Cadillac margaritas made at our table (very good) and guacamole, ceviche, pico de Gallo (very flavorful) for dinner we all ordered platters of lobster, shrimp, fish , scallops and shrimp. You can substitute what you want from menu and have them do coconut shrimp, bacon and cheese wrapped, garlic .... we all agreed the shrimp was amazing ! The bacon and cheese shrimp was the best! Nestled in the middle of the flea market in the small beach town of Bucerias, Nayarit, a 45 min bus ride from Puerto Vallarta, you'll find Fat Boys. The restaurant is located beachside. My girlfriend and I ordered and shared the seafoods ceviche and guacamole. The seafood ceviche had shrimp, octopus, scallops, and fish in it. The guacamole was one of the best I've tasted in PV. We both ordered the grilled whole Red Snapper which came with corn tortillas, rice, and sautéed vegetables. The seafood here is sooooo FRESH! They say it's caught daily. The Red Snapper was grilled with lotsa garlic and butter....sooooooo Yummy!!! The Red Snapper was crispy on the outside, soft and flaky in the inside, and the flavor was totally Amazing!!!
