Too bad their Fog's Mac & Cheese comes with bacon and pulled pork, but it was possible to replace the meats grilled chicken with no up charge. They wouldn't let my FIL have two cheeses on his slider without added fees. Our dinner portion was $99.64. The spinach cheese dip is light on spinach and rather salty. It's so-so. I spilled the mason jar as it slipped out of my hand back onto the table. Oops. The water dumped enough all over the table and our dip and chips too. Guess we are done eating that then. We cleaned it up the best we could with the thin dinner napkins. No one came back by this check up on us and take care of the now water logged table. We should have put in our order earlier. The calamari is too bad, the meat is tender. Crust is just slightly crunchy. The fries are maybe a bit undercooked, wilted too. The sliders are good. The fish tacos aren't bad, meat is still tender. The rice is blah. The Mac & Cheese is good, creamy. Cavatappi noodles are a great noodle for this dish, holds creamy goodness in each bite. The grilled chicken is dry. The power bowl is meh, the veggies seemed to be sautéed in the sweet chili sauce, not for me, would have rather have a soy sauce based sauce for this power bowl. It was way too sweet for me. The blackened salmon is not too bad, although a tad dry. Service got better after our order was placed, the start of it wasn't so good.

Usually, choices are slim, mostly fast food. Today we were lucky, Eternity Brewking was open until 6 p.m. I dropped the idea of doing yoga and we got our butts to the place since it was 5 p.m. We kike it a lot. Service was excellent, Kylie (?) was fantastic, friendly, funny, attentive, and helpful with recommendations. She was great with all the customers. The space is open, simple, and comfortable promoting a welcoming atmosphere. Few items on the menu, are simple, and tasty. I had grilled cheese with one of the best tomato soups I had in a long time, great combo. Plenty of gooey yummy cheese and toasted crispy bread I washed that down with a flight of very interesting beers. The one that took me by surprise is When Life Gives You Blueberries. After being there around an hour, we really did not feel like staying, so we asked for neither. She sent her manager to talk to us. We did not catch his name, but he was wearing a University of Miami polo shirt. He offered the same solutions. When asked why we didn't have food for 45 minutes, he said a pizza can take up to 15 minutes to make and they were very busy. When I asked what he meant, the restaurant was not full, he asked if I wanted my food or not. I told him no, that I didn't really care for cold food and I was not sure if it was safe to eat. When I asked him that why we had not seen a server from the time we ordered until then, he said "What? Because your drink was empty or something?" At that point, I did not really want to argue over cold food and a waste of time, so we paid for our food and left. It was pretty disappointing to wait 40-45 minutes for cold food. It felt like our server went on break and no one covered for her, or noticed that some tables were going without service. I hope this is not what we should expect from Hamlin Pub. Around lunch and dinner times, this place is packed, and for good reason. I have eaten here dozens of times, and have never had anything I haven't loved. From fresh soups, salads and sandwiches, to the expected bar food of fried everything and burgers. The buns are from a bakery and the meat is all top quality, locally raised. The owner is a St. Johns native and takes pride in the quality of her business. This is a place people of all ages come to get good food, play pool or watch the game with friends.
