We rented snowshoes from here for a day hike we had planned. I called before we got into town to see about conditions and the gal on the phone was super helpful. Once we got to town we headed to the shop to rent a pair for our adventure the next day, this was about mid-afternoon when we got to the store. I appreciate that the sales person was honest and didn't up charge us by letting us rent the shoes then instead of offering us to come back closer to the close of the store and we'd only be charged for the day we intended the rental but we'd have for our early morning hike the next day. Super helpful tips, insightful information, overall friendly and kind service. Reasonable pricing for what we purchased and rented. Quality gear, no issues and definitely no complaints!

We've been biking/camping a lot more lately and needed to look at some bike gear/camp gear. I'm biking for a cycle challenge that raises money for kid's cancer research and have slowly been buying better stuff every time I do longer rides. I saw that they had some cycling shoes and jerseys on sale and was sooo tempted to buy it but haven't researched it enough to justify it:/ We did end up getting a northface tent piece to hold items in our tent, a patch to remember this place and matching hats lol The service was really friendly and they had a wide selection to choose from. I kept wanting to buy more but we had to head out for a hike. Next time!

Memorial Day Weekend. I was very impressed with their customer service. They were busy but kept it professional. Their recommendations were spot on. I was borderline renting some snow shoes. They said they didn't think they were necessary. I took their advice, and it turned out, I did not need the snow shoes. Everything fit perfect and I owe a lot of this success of my climb to their renal equipment. I was the one rolled up my sleeping bag with the car in it!

Old mountain bike - fixed. A+ workmanship.

There were nothing but amazing views and scenery around the whole trail. Fun Factory provided us with snowmobiles and a pre lecture before our ride started. Michele was a great instructor and showed us the know how of everything that we needed to learn about running a snowmobile. They also provided us with helmets with eye shields, so no need for goggles unless you preferred them. The trip itself was definitely worth it for the experience. It's a must adventure if you're ever interested in touring the back country of Shasta. Snowmobiling was also a great way to spend a birthday party outside of the house scene. Crazy ride to say the least! I drove off so many walls and tried catching air in some spots. Definitely recommended and something I'd do again with Fun Factory, no doubt!

I lived on Gold Street right down the hill behind the old shop. I moved back to the area about a year ago and things have changed and two locations later theyre now on Hilltop right around the corner from my house... Again... We (The company I work for) just recently partnered with The Darkside to bring a Skate event to the North state and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with Bruces professionalism and am proud to say that this is a place that I have shopped at for most of my adult life. Do I miss the old locations? Sure. The East side of Pine location was small, humble and cozy and I never felt unwelcome. When they took over the building after The Underground went Kaput everyone was excited to see what they would do with the space. Now on hilltop they have expanded into a skate shop as well. When I drive to work in the morning and pass by the Darkside and I see the Mural on the wall, I remember I'm Home.
