A couple of weeks later, a manufacturing defect showed itself. Morgan, remembered my wife by name and went out of her way to find a like for like replacement. I understand that she has recently been promoted to store manager and her efforts to make things right exceeded anyone's normal expectations. I don't know if the shoes were discontinued or what but they were not able to find a replacement; but E wound up with a different pair of shoes that likes equally as much. Stop in and see Morgan. She has skills when it comes to working with people. Always pleasant, never pushy or rude and absolutely respectful. Not too common these days.

Village Shoes could have: - paid for the return shipping and sent a replacement pair that matched or - paid for the return shipping and given me a refund or -offered me a partial refund reflecting the fact that they had sent me defective goods but instead they insisted that the mismatched shoes were fine and made me pay for return shipping and then refunded only the cost of the shoes, leaving me without the shoes that I wanted in the first place. The whole ridiculous experience cost everyone involved money and time, and frankly made no sense. Unless they just don't care about keeping customers.
