We both got the Reuben sandwiches. The cashier let us know they were out of Rye bread so we chose sourdough. The bread was well toasted and the sauerkraut they make is excellent. Lunch meat pressed and formed meat was a let down. Bagged chips for a side and a canned soda. read more

Locally owned and operated is always my first choice. So many choices of delightful options including organic and gluten free is such a delightful treat. This is a cozy little spot located in the middle of this tiny town that is the locals favorite and I can understand why. My sugar free vanilla latte was absolutely wonderful. I also enjoyed a homemade maple bar, bacon and toast. I felt as though I was eating breakfast in a family members kitchen. Such warm and welcoming staff made an amazing experience. Definitely plan to stop here each time I'm in the area. read more

This is such a cute little shop. My first visit was a good one. Menu was clear enough to read, friendly staff and a clean environment. My husband loved the clam chowder and pretty hard to impress him when it comes to food. They did a fantastic job. The staff is friendly and answered any questions we had. I've stopped in twice in the past few months and experienced nothing but cheerful service and delicious food. They are open earlier (5:00) than most places in Moscow/Pullman and the breakfast tacos are a great pick if you need something on your way to work. The southwest chicken sandwich is really good; the Chai is exceptional. This place is an asset to Troy. read more

Not just a "coffee shop". Awesome food items & local company. Great espresso & also have home-made snacks or bkfst/lunch sandwiches/wraps. Refurbished old filling station is interesting decor and neat stuff to look at while you sip and chat. The owner knows all his customers by name & what they want before they get to the drive-up window to order! Had to come here again on the return leg of our trip. Absolutely awesome gluten-free items. Wonderful food and staff...great spot to have a lunch you won't forget and only want to go back for. Then, you can enjoy sitting outside enjoying an ice cream cone with Washington State University's Ferdinand's ice cream! We had the BLT and was super good to where I know I want to try other foods but it will be very hard to not select one of the best BLT's we've had. The owner was a kick and so much fun to talk to and was a cute spot to just get away to. The outside looks like what used to be a gas station so adds to the fun of it. Troy is not exactly the place you'd expect to go to for good food so this was a wonderful surprise when a friend took us here. We biked from Moscow and needed to prepare for the way back, so were looking for something satisfying and they fit the bill perfectly! The owners are friendly and gracious, quick with a smile. We kind of felt like we had known them for awhile. The huckleberry lemonade was a huge hit but the pizza really stood out, both the regular and gluten free options. Not too heavy, with pesto, cheese and tomatoes from their garden, it really hit the spot. Everything was fresh and delicious. I took a gluten free pastry home to try after the ride and was delighted with a great combination of texture and flavor (rare in gluten free goods!). Others informed me that their regular pastries are quite delicious as well. I was quite jealous when looking at them! My nephew talked about the lemonade for days after so we took him once more before our vacation ended and were greeted like old friends. Will definitely make this a destination the next time I'm in the Palouse. read more

Great spot in a small town - could be Paris or New York based on Judy's amazing pastries. Gluten free but as rich and wonderful as any pastry I have had - and the French Gourmet in San Diego has satisfied many a hunger for me. I tried a few as I could not pick just 1. Sandwich (had a Sloppy Joe that was a locals special design) was wonderful. Sorry I live so far away, but this spot should be on everyones list that is nearby. Did not try any coffee, as it was not on my "want/need time", but I am sure they pull a mean cup! Open view to kitchen and prep area is nice to see folks working in a clean and professional spot. read more

Our family loves this place, usually as a stop on our way to or from spring valley, or when we're out riding the bike trail. Food is wonderful- I enjoyed the almond tart at our last visit. The maple bars are always a favorite, sandwiches are tasty. Coffee is great. We're lucky to have a gem like this in the area! read more

Absolutely the best BLT I've ever had, with just the right amount of bacon, and pesto mayo that added the perfect flavor for this sandwich. I only wish they had better sides other than a tiny bag of store-bought Fritos or Doritos. I would have expected something freshly made, such as a scoop of pasta salad or potato salad. But the sandwich was really good, so I'm giving them 5 stars anyway, and I WILL be back to try something else. read more

This place has the most amazingly delicious sandwiches!! I think I have tried all of the ones on the menu plus a few that were daily specials. I have not found one that was not amazing! My water aerobics class ate this cafe today. It is by far the best little place to eat in this region. Sandwiches a pastries are their specialty but for us they prepared salmon caught in Alaska by the owner. It was wrapped in phyllo and served on beluga lentils and covered with a creme fraiche sauce. It was served with a spinach salad with strawberries. It melted in our mouths. I have never had anything that tasted this good. The dessert choices were a sinful chocolate cheesecake or Tiramisu, I had the latter. I will be dreaming about this until I can have it again. read more

Until today, The "filling Station" has always been one of those, "we need to stop in there places." WOW, AWESOME! Did finally make, "the stop today and ordered the McGraw sandwich. Oh so good. Needed to stop at the bank and the Troy Motors before lunch, and ask about the food at both locations. Only rec'd rave reviews, with a parting comment at the bank, "the soup is always good." I love this restaurant! I come to Idaho once or twice a year and each visit I have to have the Turkey in the Garden sandwich. It's a yummy croissant sandwich that has sprouts, avacado and sunflower seeds on top of turkey and cream cheese. It's amazing! I crave it all year. The service is great and the menu is very creative. What a great lunch. The Rachel w/coleslaw on the pastrami was fabulous. The Filling Station special with chicken & pear chutney w/sauerkraut was seasoned just right. Just visited for the third time this week. Tonight was "Open Mike" night. It will be on the last Wednesday of the month during Spring, Summer and early Fall. We heard two written works. One was song lyrics called: "Are They Going to Hang My Daddy" about a nation-wide trial in 1907 when the ex-governor of Idaho, Frank Steunenberg, was assassinated by a bomb outside his home in Caldwell, Idaho. The suspect, Harry Orchard, got off by Clarence Darrow. Then there was a poem about an old cowboy selling his saddle because "he wouldn't need it anymore." That brought tears. A very cozy evening with a panini sandwich called a "Bluebird" (blue cheese, bacon and chicken) and a lovely cup of coffee. Stop by. It is well worth it. The service is wonderful.
