Brad did an excellent job with my haircut. It didn't that long to cut my hair, I just get 1 on the simile and a 2 on top. Sounds simple enough but you'd be surprised how many barbers screw it up. Blake Gurdian is the virtuoso of cutting hair. The man quickly turns into the Leonardo Da Vinci of hair cutting when he picks up a pair of scissors. I used to go to a local barber(I have a review on them as well), pay a measly $15, and walk out with an ordinary haircut that I was just "meh" about. A friend of mine recommended that I check out this barber shop that he just started going to, and said that Blake is a "must see" when getting your hair cut there. He couldn't be more accurate. I walked into a well kept modernized barber shop, and left with a great haircut and new hero. Blake is creative, can recommend looks if you're a little confused, and is very intricate and makes sure he gets every part of your scalp looking nice. I've been getting my haircut by Alexi since 2004 when The Final Cut was opened. There is no better barber in South Florida. I'm a perfectionist. My haircut has to be perfect. He delivers perfection EVERY single time. I get a skin fade and beard cut. Best fade and line ups in the game. He's an all around Master Barber who deserves the title. Updating my review: the quality and service provided has declined significantly since opening. I am not sure the owner is focused on the business as much as he used to be. The guy who used to cut my hair is gone and the last three times I visited made it clear why: 1) I watched the owner refuse to pay an employee what seemed liked owed or borrowed money so he could "go out with (his) chick." 2) I got my hair cut and had to listen to some douchebag loudly rant about how he pays $90 every week to get his hair cut and that the owner had canceled on him last minute without notifying him (despite his failure as a human being I do concur with his frustration). 3) on my final "last straw trip" a new guy cut my hair and tried to make me look like an early-20s club sleeve despite my explanation that I require a conservative side part appropriate for my age and profession. Set up an appointment on a weekday during my lunch hour (1hr long) as it's the only time I'm able to get a haircut on weekdays due to my work schedule. The haircut itself was solid, nothing crazy special but also nothing to complain about. Once finished and I was ready to pay, the person at the front desk mentioned that their credit card machine was down and that I'd have to pay cash. I did not have any cash at the time and they told me to go to an ATM and leave my phone as collateral.. Not only I did not think that was very professional but this place is about 10 mins from my job and the haircut + the wait already took up 35-40 mins so I really did not have enough time to leave, go to an ATM, come back to pay and still make it back to work on time. I brought this issue up to them while getting treated like some scum who was never planning on paying.. When I asked them why they didn't mention the card machine issue prior to the haircut they said "it happens from time to time, are you gonna pay for it or what?" After about 5 mins of heated discussion, they told me to take the issue up with my barber personally. Turns out my barber had square cash on his phone and charged an extra $5 for using a credit card. If you enjoy waiting, this is the shop for you. Never had an appointment that started on time. 20+ minutes late for every appointment. I can't speak for others, but my time is too valuable to sit in a barbershop for 90 minutes. And they don't call or email you that they're running behind. The Stars represent one barber in the shop. Everyone else in here is awesome and friendly but Alex. I got my haircut from him two days ago and he cut all of my hair off from 8 inches long to one inch on the sides. When he finished, it looked good, but I didn't realize it was wet and slicked back on top and very long (4 inches) once I woke up the next day. I just called to see if I can come in (sense I was unable too yesterday) so he can just fix the top and cut more off. He started giving me attitude and was rude to me and ended up hanging up on me, basically stating that I would need to pay for a full cut over again and to come in and wait even though he is "fully booked" for the week. Apparently he is lacking in customer service skills and has a bad attitude for hanging up on a customer that would have been a repeat monthly customer. I even showed him a picture of how short and easy the cut should have been all around, not just on the sides and it looked like it was all even at first sense it was slicked back but it ended up revealing the uneven cut on top the next day. read more
