This attorney abandoned my case and breached the contract. He even insulted me in his emails . He told me that he would leave my case and that is after he found a new Law firm called Braww Law and if I wanted to continue with him then I had to pay him 350 dollars per hour which is his new firm hourly rate. I don't know but if his law firm told him to leave my case unless I pay them their hourly fees then that's really really UNETHICAL and I think this is what happened and that's what Braww law firm told him to do because he said he was going to send another agreement Braww Law Agreement . I paid him 1500 dollars plus court fees to take the whole case from A to Z and there was a written agreement so why would I pay him 350 per hour Am not a US citizen and this attorney knows I wasn't residing in the US at the time he decided to leave my case. He sent the copy of motion for withdrawal to my US address so you can imagine that this would make me miss the 15 days given by the law to appose his motion for withdrawal and that is what I think is called a fraudulent act. I advise you to stay away form him. I am going to file a bar complaint against him and file malpractice suit also. This guy will ruine your case. The attorney received a judgment for defendant's failure to answer but refused to take the damages hearing although he promised in emails he was going to do the damages trial but after he was hired by this new law firm he decided to abandon my case unless I pay his law firm an hourly rate of 350 dollars. He also failed to request a no answer default judgment against the defendant for unknown reasons . He really damaged my case. I have to refile the case again and find a new attorney and lose more money. I am suffering because of him but will do whatever it takes to get my rights using legal procedures. I would not recommend kasey libby to anyone, ever. He is basically a paper pusher with not a lot of…read moreideas or strategy. He just has a PO Box in a UPS store, no office and no help. He has no assistant, no one to answer any calls. You will get a response when he gets time. He was away and/or busy and didn't return our calls for days. When he did, he just said he had been tied up. No "out of office" on his email or updated voice message - nothing. It was beyond frustrating, we were dissatisfied but thought we could just get thru it since we had already paid thousands of dollars. We should have just cut our losses but we hung in there hoping. We kept having to pay for him to file extensions when he should have been pushing the other attorney to get documents back. Once he did have the papers but was "busy" so we didn't get them until later and then we were rushed to review/return to meet the deadline. We would ask where things were and then he would follow up with the other attorney (or so he said), never proactive. We had a Settlement Conference scheduled and he called me to tell me I needed to send a write up of the case and I had to have it by the end of the day! I had appointments all day and why did I only have a few hours to do it? He was late getting to me to let me know that he needed it, so again - I was pushed because of his lack of being on top of things. The case kept dragging out to the point that the Fulton County Judge called a meeting to find out why the case was not moving. I attended that call and stated there is NO reason why the new deadline that had been set during that call could not be met! Eventually he just totally quit responding all together so we had to fire him. In his email reply he said "I apologize for my lack of responsiveness", told us what the next steps were to be released and at the end of the email stated "Again, I am sorry I disappointed you and understand your decision. I hope everything turns out well for your mother.". I had to ask twice for our retainer to be returned. We had to finish the case and represent ourselves for the probate hearing as we were too far in and close to the end to hire another attorney and start over. Hire someone else that will be committed to your case, not kasey libby - regardless how simple you think your case may be. And if his rate is a little lower, don't be fooled. He doesn't have any associates, he will do ALL of the work, even preparing things to mail so you will be paying top dollar for administrative work instead of an assistant. In the end, you will pay more.

I understand he is just out of law school so I hate to give him a bad review, but he was just so…read moreterrible. If you have something very simple and doesn't involve any litigation or filings then perhaps he can handle it. But I just don't think that he can handle complex legal situations. I had to get a more experienced lawyer. It was very inconvenient, and yes, cost me a lot of money. I do not have him confused with someone else. Perhaps I made a mistake that he was out of law school recently but that just reflects more on the level of competency I had to work with.
