The worst it can get. This company can't even have the decency to call back the customer. They will come to you when they want and that is about all. There is a click of their people, and if you aren't in it, you will be totally disregarded. The crew cares nothing about your fish aquarium. Their interest in the saltwater ecosystem is about as lame as it gets. Also pay attention to your wallet. They claim to be so superior..but yet if you are a new custimer, good luck. It is a big fiasco. Don't waste your time! read more

Sean & Joey were extremely professional, personable, and knowledgeable. I had them over to clean, and move a 90 gal. freshwater tank. It was no easy task & they made it seem effortless. They recommended a different filter that would be better suited and much easier to maintain than the filter I had at the time. No hard sell, they only advised and noted it wasn't something that was needed or immediate. FYI, I went with their advice as easier to maintain works for me. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone who may need help with an existing aquarium, setting up a new aquarium, or just looking to gain some extra knowledge on upkeep of an aquarium. I would not hesitate calling on them again. Also reasonably priced to make it even better! read more

It's not terribly large, but it is a pretty good size. We usually spend about 45 minutes to an hour here which is kind of his attention span. They have lots of places that you can climb up and feel like you are inside the aquarium and have the fish all around you. He really likes that. They also have a place where you can pet some of the sea life. He does not like that at all. They also sometimes have opportunities to feed the sea life for an additional charge. They are currently doing an animal crossing promo and you can collect stamps as you to travel through the aquarium. At the end, you get some badges and my son really enjoyed that. The price to visit is a little steep so definitely look at getting a combo ticket. You can save money if you decide to do the aquarium as well as the wax museum in Orlando eye. We have Legoland annual passes and those include the aquarium. There's an even smaller version inside Legoland.

If we felt confined walking through it, I couldn't help but think about the animals living there every day. There were surprisingly few exhibits, and the sea life itself was fairly limited. Nothing felt particularly unique, and the entire visit took us less than 30 minutes at a relaxed pace. To make matters worse, the building had an unpleasant odor. You expect a slight marine smell at an aquarium, but this smelled more like an old, damp mop than the ocean. For the admission price, we expected a much larger, cleaner, and more engaging experience. Instead, we left wondering where all that ticket money is actually going. Something about this place just didn't sit right with us. And honestly... something seems a little fishy here.

A small but, cool place for kids…read more There isn't much to do with kids in Welaka but there is the Fish Hatchery. We come here a few times during they year to visit family in Sportsman Harbor. My child just loves to see the fish here and it never seems to get old for them. They occasionally change out the aquatic species to feature various different types of local animal life. Depending on what they are rising at the hatchery, which is located just a little further south down the road. There's and observation tower but thats it. nothing much to look at with a hiking trail of the area as well. There is also Mud Spring just a bit further south on the road that features more hiking and a Florida Spring worth taking a dip in the hot summer day. **Overall, Yes its a small place but is great for all ages. They're usually open from 8a-3p daily and have open public bathrooms.

I have been out of the "Reef Tank game" for almost five years. I've had my tank the entire time, I just quit buying anything that wasn't necessary to keep it running. I didn't even change the water for the last 3.5 years. I had a catastrophic loss five years ago that crushed my will to rebuild. My heater controller malfunctioned and stuck on. My dumbass had two 500w titanium tubes in it during the summer, and heated the tank water to 93 degrees before someone saw the cloud of death in the tank. After three consecutive, daily,100 gallon water changes I tried to save what I could but I lost upward of $15k worth of animals. One of my friends owned the LFS so I had some doozies. I always got first look and the tank had irreplaceable corals in it. Only six corals and five fish made it. Sad day man. I didn't even look at it for a long time.... My kids would clean the glass for me every now and then. I couldn't bring myself to break it down or rebuild it. Present day: Only one fish left in the tank so bio load was minimal. I finally did a water change and to everyone's amazement the tank parameters were still dead on. I guess I've gotten good at eyeballing. The six corals that made it are the size of basketballs now. I did a big chop and made a bunch of frags and sold them off locally. Time to buy some new corals and fish!! I have never gotten a shipment of corals that were this well packaged. The water was 77.7 degrees on arrival and the salinity was 1.026. Spot on exactly as my tank. The way they packed it was brilliant. Double bagged individually and in the bags were plastic cups supporting the frag plugs to prevent damage. Everything arrived in excellent condition. I got six corals, and a medium clean up crew of snails and crabs. All alive and zero coral damage to even the most delicate ones. The corals are nothing short of amazing! The colors are better than the pics online. Polyps were extended in minutes after I added them. These guys brought my passion back with this shipment. WYSIWYG is the way to go with these folks man, you will not be disappointed. Buy a lot, you will have no regrets. My next purchase will be a couple "frag packs" to help get restocked. I'll try and get some pics of the new corals in the tank. Blue light makes it hard to get decent pics.

Nevertheless, my curiosity prompted me to stop in. I was definitely impressed with the quantity and variety of aquarium tools and aquatic life that they carry. The displays were beautiful. After I had a chance to look around, one of the staff asked me if they could assist me or answer questions. They were able to answer all of my questions, but they didn't have a solution for me and this was no surprise for me. If I were a saltwater enthusiast, I think that I would consider shopping here based upon the location, the variety of supply and the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. For now it is a 4 star because I don't have the experience of purchasing and/or assessing quality of animals or service.

We got to see a lot of fish and native Florida wildlife! There were a lot of walking trails, kayak/canoe launches, and tons of information posted around about native Florida habitats! There was also a play area for kids as well. We spent a lot of the time in the aquarium room (and yes it's a room not a super huge space) since it was air conditioned and our daughter really enjoys seeing the fish. They have a touch tank that's open for a few hours throughout the day, but we noticed that if the tank isn't open, there was no staff in the space. The facilities seemed a bit older but overall well maintained. There were summer camps going on while we were there, and felt like they sort of overtook some of the spaces we were in from time to time. Not a super huge deal as we were able to go explore other parts but it did feel somewhat chaotic as a large group of 8 year olds ran into the area. You do have to pay admission, there is a pass available as well if you plan to visit more than once. Parking was not plentiful so be mindful when planing, to come early or during a more "off" time. Overall this was a neat place to go to if you enjoy learning about Florida wildlife and nature.

This place is one of those hidden little Treasure Coast gems that almost hides in plain sight. The boardwalk trails through the mangroves were peaceful, scenic, and surprisingly immersive. Every turn felt like a mini nature documentary. Within a short walk I spotted a ribbon snake cruising through the water, an orb-weaver spider that looked like it came straight out of a sci-fi movie, and plenty of birds and wildlife along the way. Bring a camera because you'll use it. Bonus points for the rare opportunity to admire a spider web without immediately walking face first into it. The grounds are well maintained, educational without feeling overly touristy, and just plain relaxing. There's a nice balance between nature preserve, learning experience, and quiet escape from the everyday rush. Also appreciated that you can spend 30 minutes here or easily lose a couple of hours wandering the trails and slowing your brain down a notch. We didn't try the kayak rental this time but made a mental note for the future. If you live in or visit Vero Beach and enjoy nature, photography, kayaking, wildlife, or just finding peaceful spots that don't involve crowds and traffic, this place is absolutely worth a stop.

On February 8, 1837, a force of Seminole Indians led by Emathla and his son, Coacoochee, attacked the camp, resulting in the Battle of Camp Monroe. Captain Charles Mellon died defending the fort and 14 soldiers were injured. The fort was renamed in his honor. Mellon was said to be buried near where he was killed under a large tree. Over the following months, the other soldiers killed at Fort Mellon were buried at a cemetery nearby the fort. Later on Mellon was reinterred in a cemetery in St. Augustine but not all of the bodies were moved. The remaining dead, about 20-26, who were buried at Fort Mellon are still there and nobody knows exactly where. Over time, the fort was abandoned and the cemetery was lost. The area around the fort developed into the city of Mellonville which was eventually annexed by Sanford. In January of 1938, the city commission voted to name a new park after Fort Mellon. Today the park is a popular gathering spot for outdoor recreation for the City of Sanford. Over 17 acres the community can enjoy basketball courts, outdoor exercise equipment, a fort themed playground, eight picnic pavilions equipped with tables and grills, and Central Florida's largest splash pad. The history, waterfront views, and well kept facilities have made this park a beloved destination for family fun in Sanford for decades. The older side resembles a castle with lots climbing, slides and a draw bridge. The younger side resembles a ship. It has rocking boats, shorter steps, and baby swings. This park has a nice padded floor but it is not covered. With the water near by and the direct sunlight it can be very hot for children so pay attention to this. Next to the park is the splash pad which is very large and fun for kids. The bathroom is located between the two. Some parts of the park seem unfinished or under construction. Overall it's a nice park with a lot to offer for locals or visitors.

I have three boys so of course nothing is going to be cheap. For two activities it cost $128 dollars. They were busy so for instance the rope course we had to wait for several times. The mini golf is glow in the dark but not a large scale just a miniature option. There was a cord in the middle of one of the holes which is a hazard if someone tripped over it. They have several activities to choose from being ropes course, rock climbing, bowling, arcade, laser tag, axe throwing. You do get some arcade credits but they're kind of a waste counting on each kid got 60 credits and one game was 30 credits. We didn't eat here but I did have a drink from the bar, the bartender was kinda and fast and the drink was good for the money. The staff seemed to be pretty nice. I mean at the end of the day you do what you can in a setting like this. There are things I would do differently but if you need in indoor activity definitely give it a try if you have some money to burn.

They also sell various salt water fish, corals, and some aquascaping supplies and materials as well. I've bought most of my aquatic plants from this place since they offer the most diverse selection in town compared to other places. I have also previously bought shrimps, some of which have since multiplied and thrived in my tanks at home. This time, I decided to buy some pygmy corys, white cloud mountain minnows, and clown killifish, all of which are thriving and adapting beautifully so far.

My family and I make trips up to the WWC Winter Park location a few times a month, and each time we are treated like family. Tommy, the manager, is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He puts so much consideration and thought into helping you pick out the right corals and fish for your tank. The store itself is very well organized and the tanks are immaculately clean and all of the fish are healthy and happy. This shop has a small local vibe, but packs a mighty punch. This place is absolutely beautiful. When we first arrived, we were greeted by Ellen and her super friendly pup, and they showed us around. We got to go into the aviary, where I fell in love with a darling cockatiel. First off, the aviary is stunning. Ellen and Darien take in rescued birds, rehabilitate them, and re-home the ones that they can. They go to great measures to ensure that the right person adopts the right bird, and they provide wonderful resources and hands-on training. The birds are extremely well taken care of and cared for by Ellen and her staff. As someone who believes in animal advocacy, this means a lot to me. I am now finishing the process of adopting that sweet little cockatiel (she comes home tomorrow), and I am so overwhelmed with gratitude for Ellen, Darien and all the amazing work they do for the animals at the Rescue & Sanctuary. I highly recommend with a full and happy heart!!

Mark is very unprofessional.He added a chemical accidentally in my aquarium which killed a total…read moreof 26 fish in my aquarium.He tried to rectify by draining the water,but did not clean the aquarium to get rid of the chemical.After he drained the water more fish died,because of not totally destroying the chemical.I let him take my aquarium which he asked about and everything as I did not feel that he knows what he is doing.He did give a refund,but it did not cover my total cost for the aquarium and gravel and stand.Professionals should not make mistakes like that which killed a total of 26 tropical fish.He admitted his error,but I do not feel he rectified his mistake adaquately.
