Whenever I am traveling I enjoy eating at local family run restaurants or local hole in the wall. Most are well worth it and The Fishin Hole is one of them. Went for lunch and had very good Cheeseburger, went back for dinner to try the Catfish, had Fried and Blackened, both were great! Owner was a pleasure to talk to as well! My wife and I eat here every summer when visiting her family and this is by far my favorite restaurant in the Cadiz area. Everything we have tried here has been excellent, but their burgers and fries are my favorite I've eaten anywhere! The service is always great, even when they are very busy, and the family that owns the restaurant always goes out of their way to be helpful and friendly. I wish we had more places like this back home in California. read more

Great food and the best blackened catfish I ever had, good hushpuppies and tons of sides. Excellent burgers great fries because one of their signature things is changing their cooking oil daily. Their appetizers are very good. They have excellent desserts, their fried pies are fantastic, it's the crust and the soft serve on top. They also have an ice cream shop in the back. My wife and I had catfish filet dinners and the fish was "the worst" we have ever had. The waitress ask how our meal was and we informed her that the fish wasn't as it should be and told her it was "way over cooked"!! Her reply was "I'm sorry about your meal". The waitress did offer to replace the fish, but we declined. Cooks don't like to be told they didn't cook well and the rest of our meal would have been "cold". Will never eat there again. read more

Honestly my favorite place to eat in the whole Lake Barkley region. Fun, family owned place with big portions and happy waitress. Excellent desserts, chopped steak is excellent, fried pies are great and so is the pizza. Highly recommended. read more

This is a great local find!! After a long day camping my family went here for dinner and loved it so much we came back for lunch the next day. We had the catfish and BBQ pork for dinner which were both excellent, then for lunch tried the burgers and Philly and were not disappointed. Portions are large and service is quick and friendly. We will definitely be back. Do yourself a favor and splurge for some ice cream as well, it was a great summer treat. read more

Great restaurant and super friendly owners. Went on a Sunday drive and looked up places to eat near us. The Fishin Hole had great reviews and it didn't disappoint. I had the Popeye Salad which was nice and big. Had a good sized fresh grilled chicken breast on it and plenty of pecans and dried cranberries. I drove 30 mins out of my way based on yelp reviews of this restaurant. The food was just average. We ordered the mushrooms that were cooked too fast, brown on the outside and cold on the inside. The fix was to throw them back into the fryer for awhile; now the outside was a little over done. We ordered the supreme pizza; it looked and tasted like frozen pizza with extra vegetables and additional mozzarella cheese.
