Wow! My son did something mysterious and ultimately bad to his iPhone, probably drooped something…read moreon it. Anyway, the screen would flash then go blank. Not super useful. I REALLY did not want to buy a new one, but was almost resigned to it, fearing it was water damaged. I thought we'd at least get a repair person's opinion. A lot of reviews I read of other shops said they'd been charged a LOT for diagnosing the problem and I was not interested in that. I came across the Yelp page for The Phone Doctor in Kirkwood and it sounded like they offered diagnostics for free. I made an appointment (easily done through their website) and went into the shop. Parking on that Saturday afternoon was super easy with plenty of space in the free lot behind their building and even several spaces on Jefferson just adjacent. I handed the phone over the counter and before it was out of my hand the technician said, "Needs a new screen." I was skeptical, but a second tech looked over his shoulder and agreed. They quoted me $125 and 15 minutes, I said, "Deal!" I was out the door with a working phone in about 10 minutes, in which time I ordered a heavy duty case so we don't end up repeat customers too soon. Could not be happier!

Now the 3rd time I have come for service at the phone doctor. Between my son and I, we seem to…read morealways have a broken phone every 6-8 months (screen, battery, charger). Always helpful, always friendly, very reasonable prices and quick to complete service. They are awesome and my go to company for all our cell phone repairs.

BEWARE****I paid 300 for an OLED screen. They tried to give me LCD. I caught them and made them…read moretake it off. We decided I will trade my phone for the smaller model they had (benefit to them) once I got home I saw that I was given an older model iphone after I was specifically told that it was the same iphone as mine. Went back, had to fight tooth and nail to get my original back WITH THE OLED SCREEN I PAID FOR. Finally got it done. Notice a black spot on the screen, thought it was apart of the update until I noticed it spreading and distorting images. Messaged the owner sam about it, his worker told me it was called pixel burn. They tried to tell me it's from pressure being on the phone. Well, I have had this iphone well taken care of before I let you crooks touch it. My screen is also separating from the phone now because they did not put all my screws back in place. I should have paid my phone company the money to fix it. He even tried to give me the screen off of one of his worker's phone. They will talk to each other in their language to talk around you, watch them. I thought they were good people, nope. Would not recommend. They are slick and dishonest, shop else where if you can. 1/5 stars from me.

I did not have high expectations going in here as you see those shady places in the mall etc…read more. The gentleman behind the counter was professional and they obviously have been doing this for a long time. My phone screen was toast and I needed to get some info off of it. He offered to let me use a screen for $50 and get all my info off to my new phone and then he would just put the broken screen back. Considering the cost of a new screen is 300, this was good news. I spent a good hour or more trying to get some encrypted info off my phone. I needed to do more research but the technician was with me all the way. He gave me time to do what I needed to do and helped me troubleshoot what I needed to with no stress or pushiness which made a stressful situation a lot less hectic. I knew fixing my phone would be expensive as phones are crazy expensive these days so it is just the way things are. TLDR Price might hurt, as tech is expensive, but your device will be fixed by a professional with a good attitude. If you have to spend it, come here.

First off the people there are incredibly stupid and incredibly rude and they all did not know what…read morethey were doing. They did not know how to do their job. I asked over the phone 3-4 times if they could do something with the invoice and I was told yes. But the 2 times I went in I was told no both times. And the 2nd time the "district manager" (who looked like a rainbow and a goth girl had an oopsie poopsie and 9 months later she came) I think her name is Tracy, said never to come here again and she had a lot of attitude. The actual repair was terrible and had a bulge in my phone back glass from the seal being on wrong. So my phone isn't waterproof. And price wise terrible. I was at first told 230 and then it became 250+tax and Apple, who only takes an hour whereas they took 3 hours, charges 159+tax for the same job and they do it properly. Overall f*ck that place, F*ck Tracy, and F*ck Tracy's parents for birthing such a disgrace. UPDATE: Now my screen randomly has developed 2 black spots 3 days after this repair. Don't come here UPDATE: After Complaining and making a Case with Ubreakifix I was told to wait for a "Case manager" to call me, so I got the call and when I told her everything she basically told me that we're not doing sh*t to cover for my screen, and then when I expressed that I wanted to get the bulge repaired somewhere else (because obviously why the f*ck would I get my phone repaired again after they broke my screen and messed up the adhesive) she changed her attitude and started bi*ching at me, telling me that she would cancel the case. So now I am currently now waiting for their "Resolutions Manager" to tell me what they can do, also when I asked what they were going to do about her behavior and attitude, she told me in corporate terms she is getting a slap on the wrist and she is still keeping her job. Moral of the story, don't go to Ubreakifix unless you wanna get f*cked up the a*s. UPDATE: I ended up getting my phone fixed at the Apple Store. And after I had gotten it fixed, I received a call from Ubreakifix, and she started explaining what their investigation concluded and she even had the audacity to tell me that the adhesive was not going to affect the waterproof abilities, and she also explained it as if I was the one in the wrong and left out all the parts where they were being rude, and how Tracy was being a bi*ch. They obviously were not going to say that she was wrong even though she very clearly was, so I told her to stop and then told her "I got it fixed at Apple, so you know what, she can go f*ck herself, and you can go f*ck yourself" Once again, Don't come here unless you wanna get f*cked. On a different note, The Apple Store in west county not only fixed the screen, they even fixed up the seal for me.
