I love it there so much I am willing to look past the filthy floor and food equipment. If this place was spotless it would ruin it. I just wish the coffee was better.

It's out in an industrial area, but don't let that sway you. When you walk into the place you'll notice that it's a cozy place with mismatched coffee mugs (circa grandma), and usually a friendly greeting by the server(s). There are "manwiches" and senior and wee ones (children's) menu items available. However, I have never really been able to resist the allure of the BREK-KER Burger. Handmade (no pre-formed, frozen here) patty with 1 egg with your choice of bun (they have a lot - onion, cheese etc.) and cheese and ham or bacon. As for the hashbrowns - try, I dare you, to resist the hashbrown poutine!!! I recommend it, the server recommends it, my friend has never been able to resist it also recommends it. Definitely not the restaurant if you're dieting that day or week. This is your place if you've been out late and need to feed the hangover or just ran a race, or if you're plain old treating yourself to juicy, slight greasy in a good way burger and poutine FOR BREAKFAST kinda day.

To start our long day in Saskatoon, my boyfriend and I began with Poached Breakfast Bistro. While…read moremy boyfriend just had a Double Espresso ($4.3), I got the Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate ($8), Poached Over Crab & Shrimp Risotto Cakes ($21) with Pecan & Maple Syrup Bacon Roll-Ups ($7.5). I'm very impressed with the menu and drink options. They have plenty of unique options and you can really feel the creativity in what they offer. The interior was also very unique, it's an older building but modernized with an artistic touch while incorporating its vintage roots. My boyfriend said his coffee was good, didn't taste burnt. The bar is in Hell for good coffee in Regina. My hot chocolate was made with frothed creamy peanut butter and chocolate almond milk. It made a welcome nutty flavour combination that was unique yet delicious. I also loved that it smelled strongly of peanut butter. Being at a restaurant named "Poached" I had to get poached eggs. My dish consisted off house made shrimp, pollock crab and white wine risotto cakes, flavoured with Dijon and Dill, along with 2 poached eggs and herbed hollandaise sauce and a side of rye toast. As an additional side, I ordered their classic house made bacon rollups. These are made with crushed pecans and pure maple syrup then topped with a hint of cayenne for heat. Honestly, it was a lot of food. You don't need the bacon rollups but the were SO good that I recommend trying them. My cakes were crispy on the outside yet hot and soft on the inside. The taste was mild, fresh and comforting. It was perfect for such a cold day and I wouldn't change a thing about this dish. I highly recommend this restaurant and everything we ordered. Thank you to everyone that suggested this spot. It's my cousin's favourite brunch spot in Saskatoon and now I understand why!

What a terrific spot!…read more As is obvious from the name of this spot, they specialize in riffs on eggs Benedict, They have all the usual breakfast choices as well. Their atmosphere is cozy yet modern, with dining areas a bit divided up to make it feel intimate once you sit down. Service was quick and friendly. We can recommend the poached eggs on cheesy hash browns and the omelet. They have fresh squeezed orange juice and their rye toast is very fresh. Everything tasted very fresh and there was no hint of greasiness like at some breakfast spots. Just wonderful.

A perfect size to share. Next we had a Broccoli Soup and a Carver's Wedge Salad. Both were thoroughly enjoyed as they were just delicious. For the main we had a Filet Mignon and a Ribeye Steak, both medium rare. We added Green Peppercorn Sauce, Brussel Sprouts, and sauteed Mushrooms. The steaks were cooked perfectly. We packed up half the steaks to save room for dessert. For that we shared a Carver's Beignets. Came with three sauces and were just amazingly good. Both went down with a bottle of Bread and Butter Cabinet Sauvignon. Just had a wonderful experience here. Well done chef.
