When we got home, we looked at the receipt and realized that they didn't even take the 10% off. I might give it another shot but will not order the fish next time. The bar is in Hell for good coffee in Regina. My hot chocolate was made with frothed creamy peanut butter and chocolate almond milk. It made a welcome nutty flavour combination that was unique yet delicious. I also loved that it smelled strongly of peanut butter. Being at a restaurant named "Poached" I had to get poached eggs. My dish consisted off house made shrimp, pollock crab and white wine risotto cakes, flavoured with Dijon and Dill, along with 2 poached eggs and herbed hollandaise sauce and a side of rye toast. As an additional side, I ordered their classic house made bacon rollups. These are made with crushed pecans and pure maple syrup then topped with a hint of cayenne for heat. Honestly, it was a lot of food. You don't need the bacon rollups but the were SO good that I recommend trying them. My cakes were crispy on the outside yet hot and soft on the inside. The taste was mild, fresh and comforting. It was perfect for such a cold day and I wouldn't change a thing about this dish. I highly recommend this restaurant and everything we ordered. Their atmosphere is cozy yet modern, with dining areas a bit divided up to make it feel intimate once you sit down. Service was quick and friendly. We can recommend the poached eggs on cheesy hash browns and the omelet. They have fresh squeezed orange juice and their rye toast is very fresh. Everything tasted very fresh and there was no hint of greasiness like at some breakfast spots. Just wonderful.
