I don't write reviews often, but these guys truly deserve the praise. We chose to use The Flood Guys at the recommendation of our plumber, Trident Plumbing and Drain Cleaning (who we highly recommend for any of your plumbing needs.) I can honestly not say enough good things about this company, there were so many. We were helped specifically by Joel Goodman. He was polite, professional and courteous in every way. He made sure that we understood every aspect of the work he was performing and was clear and patient with his explanations and answering any questions we had (no matter how many times we asked the same questions). His work was swift and as minimally disruptive as possible. Not once did I feel uncomfortable with him in my home or that I was being swindled into unnecessary labor. I truly feel like this company strives to help people and that it is a company that can be labeled "one of the good guys". Joel was compassionate and understanding in my home with small children and a rowdy dog and we truly felt he minimized the amount of stress we experienced in such a frustrating situation. Our specific situation involved working with our home owner's insurance and it's worth noting that even our insurance agent complemented his work saying that he would be recommending The Flood Guys to their customers as well. A water damage is a big scare - especially just two days after moving into your new home! The Flood Guys Damage Restaurantion was a recommendation from Quinn from Apollo Plumbing, who fixed the leak. Gosh, Sean, Bailey and Joey N. showed up within 30 minutes after the call and immediately started minimizing the damage with vents and dehumidifiers. They explained the procedure and the steps involved professionally. Unfortunately our case took a little longer due to insurance issues (the leaking shower head was just installed from a contractor a few days beforehand, so no insurance felt reponsible) and asbestos in our wall. During this time The Flood Guys showed up every day to adjust the equipment and measure the humidity within our walls. After removal of the wet asbestos "drywalls" they adjusted the equipment again to achieve faster drying. That way we even could save our bathroom tiles! After removing of the equipment they even vacuumed and cleaned the rooms and took the garbage and debris with them. A water damage never is fun. We hated sleeping with loud ventilation and dehumidifiers for three weeks, but we know that this process usually doesn't last that long - as long as you don't have asbestos in your walls and your insurance pays right away... We are glad we got rid of the moisture in our walls, don't need to worry about mold though. Thanks! read more

Several weeks ago my powder room toilet failed and leaked into my kitchen, crawl space, 18' up the drywall and all over my hard wood floors. Sean, Jacob, Joe and Randy all came in with their various talents. I have never had an issue like this before and really had no idea the proper steps to take. These professionals walked me thru the steps that needed to be taken. They even dealt with my insurance agent- as they are mitigation specialists. Sean took pictures and sent them to the insurance company and spoke with them daily. The process would have gone smoother and probably been done sooner but my insurance agent kept "pushing back." The Flood Guys stuck to their word and kept taking photo evidence that the water damage was extensive. My insurance agent took 3 weeks to give the ok to pull up the damaged flooring. If it wasn't for the persistence of this crew, I might have taken my insurance agent's word and tried to dry out the damaged flooring by myself, which would have resulted in dry rot. It's also possible that in a year or two my kitchen would have sunk into my crawl space or my kids could have been breathing in mold spores for who knows how long. After my water heater flooded my kitchen over the Thanksgiving holiday, they were "As good as it gets!" in all ways! The service that I received was the best I've ever experienced since I've owned a house! Their response was unbelievably fast! It happened over the holidays and Joey called me within an hour and got the ball rolling. Special thanks to Joey B for being so courteous, thorough and knowledgeable...he even talked me off a ledge a couple of times and had my back at all times. Also special thanks to Sean, Ryan, Daniel, Jayden and Bernard for doing all the hard work of getting rid of the water-damaged flooring, walls, insulation and cabinets, as well as packing my kitchen up so the reconstruction could take place. Fast Clean-up of a YUCKY mess! These young fellows were great. Ryan, Jadon and Jesse cleaned up a really stinky mess in the tiny crawl space under our house. We had a 50+ year old drain pipe with a 4-inch hole in it that was draining the kitchen and bathroom sinks directly into the crawl space. The smell was revolting - worse than if it had been toilet sewage. The guys brought in a big fan to move the smell out of the house. They protected our floors from their messy boots and didn't even touch the doorknobs with their messy hands. They did their work very quickly and when they left the crawl space was clean with new plastic and even a nice smelling disinfectant. They were very personable to me and even friendly to my little dog. :) I was impressed by Ryan's knowledge as he answered my questions about the procedure. He even pointed out a leak in the new plumbing under the house that my husband had put in to bring water to our refrigerator's ice maker. We really appreciated that. Cory and his crew provided mitigation services to my medical facility after the upstairs residential units sewer pipe clogged and literally rained in my office for 2-3 days. 4 rooms and 9 of my walls were damaged and it was a huge, and frankly disgusting project. I can't believe how cheerful and pleasant all his crew were considering the nature of their jobs and how hard they were working. He and his crew worked at my office for 10+ hours every day and even found a crew do do some of the work overnight just to make his deadline to get the project completed so I could re open my business as promised. When the crew left daily they went above and beyond to leave my office in a clean, organized manner even though they were coming back the next day. Cory was excellent at organizing the crew, keeping excellent records of all his work performed and photos and answered all my questions thoroughly. I would never want to have to go through this awful experience again but if I do I will absolutely call Cory and his crew again. read more

When our sewer line backed up into a basement shower and floor drain, I asked the plumber we contacted if they recommended a particular clean-up company. Without hesitation they answered: "The Flood Guys are great!" A few days later Zach arrived and blew me away with his knowledge, professionalism, and eagle eye. While checking the floor and walls outside the bathroom for moisture, he spotted a dark spot on an exposed wooden bottom plate. Sure enough ... moisture. We investigated, and discovered that the sewage that we thought had been contained in the shower had leaked through the tiles, through the wall, and into a guest bedroom closet that we rarely open. Pulling the wet smelly carpet out wasn't fun, but I knew that if Zach hadn't found that spot it would have been days longer before we discovered the mess, and a bunch more stuff that was in there would have been damaged. Zach told me exactly what to do to neutralize the odor and start cleaning up while we wait for an estimate. So glad I called The Flood Guys. read more

So we're only at the beginning stages of water remediation due to a soft blockage in our plumbing line and I'm already so impressed that I wanted to write a review. 1) Joel & Dylan were terrific helping us remediate the standing water even though it was late night on a weekend. Since that point they have really nailed the coordination including the pack-out process. 2) Jacob, Bailey and Marcus performed the pack out. I would have expected this process to be painful since we needed to manage what stays and what goes but they nailed it with minimal need for my involvement and really took good care of our items. 3) Back to Joel & Dylan (& now Joey), they're all over every detail including paying special attention to our cats (who are finicky with people but seems to like them ...) & to our wine area to ensure there are no temperature issues. I'm certain we'll have bumps along the path but so far, what a terrific team; it's obvious they act as a single unit and are looking out for us. Thank you Flood Guys! read more

A pipe burst in my ceiling while I was running some errands. Originally I was skeptical because I have heard some horror stories about some other companies from my neighbors that have had similar work done in their homes by Mitigation companies. The Flood guys were amazing! They came to my home in record time, I believe it was an hour and 10 minutes after I called. I can not say enough good things about this company! They dealt with my insurance company directly for payment so I wouldn't have to deal with that headache. They were very friendly, respectful of my home and its belongings. They also informed me on what to expect as this was my first time dealing with anything like this. They used containments to prevent spreading of dust particles ect. One Sunday morning in late December we discovered our garage ceiling "raining" due to an upstairs toilet malfunction and overflow. I called my plumber, who advised me to call The Flood Guys. I was amazed that they arrived an hour later--on a Sunday--and after seeing the damage on both floors of my home recommended I start an insurance claim. They began mitigation work immediately, opening damaged areas and setting up multiple dehumidifiers. A few days later they carefully packed and stored the contents of my son's damaged bedroom and the garage. All throughout the mitigation and storage process (over 6 months in my case due to insurance claim slowness), they were professional, friendly, and always went beyond expectation. The Flood Guys SAVED Cascade Elite Gymnastics! I was called early in the morning and told that our upstairs bathroom sprung a leak over night. It flooded the ceiling, the walls, and got into areas of the building you do not want water. I called a few water clean up places, and immediately felt relieved when I spoke to Cory. He was so informative, and bI felt like he was really empathetic to our situation. Ed and Cory were here within an hour of my first call, and were on site every day through the clean up. They were both especially helpful in answering my questions and giving advice as we navigated insurance and what to do after the water clean up was complete. I can't say enough amazing things about The Flood Guys!!! My condo flooded with sewage and they turned a "shitty" situation into the best experience. Ryan came and met me at my place that evening to evaluate everything and clearly explained their process and next steps. I had 24 hours to move out completely. The next morning, Ryan, Jacob, Jaden, Marcus and Bailey arrived to help sort salvage items from soiled and pack up ALL my belongings. They helped relieve all my stress and were VERY gentle and careful with all my items. I trusted them in my home and with my personal items. Lifesavers doesn't even describe them and the whole experience. What a great company! I had a break in a pipe in my Kitchen and Josh arrived the next day on a Saturday. He took several pictures,Measurements, drilled holes in my floor and drywall and explain to me the process of THE FLOOD GUYS. Walker and Tim arrived and brought several fans for my kitchen and humidifier for the kitchen as well as the crawlspace. They had to tent my kitchen and they put up some dust shields to protect my cabinets and countertops. They had to tear out a cabinet and countertop and they were very understanding how stressful this project was to me. They kept in contact with me every day telling me the time they would arrive and cleaned up after themselves every night before they left.If I could give them more stars I certainly would what a great company! read more

John and Donny have been to our house twice this past week due to a leak underneath our dishwasher which caused a lot of damage to our kitchen floor and underneath the counter/cupboards. They both have been great with explaining in detail of what all the job entailed and have been polite and patient with my many questions. They have been very professional and thorough. It was obvious to us that both John and Donny take pride in their work. When asked to move our dishwasher out to our carport they did not hesitate to do so! Bad Day Plumbing. We all hear about people having plumbing issues and when it hit home, The Flood Guys are quick to respond and give answers as to the best way to handle the situation. Joey the Mitigation Supervisor was dispatched to my home within an hour after the plumber gave them my number as requested. Once Joey arrived he explained not only the process of getting my home back in order but explained the insurance policy and steps that need to be taken to make this a painless experience. I obtained a great deal of information and passed it on to the homeowner. The homeowner was surprised at the helpful information I obtained and appreciated the ease of stress that they will have to undergo to get the rental back into livable condition. Cory from the Flood Guys was just here and did an inspection of my crawl space which is only 18" high. He took pictures and explained everything clearly to me. He found the source of my odor problem and recommended what needed to be done to fix it. Since the water damage had dried up, the problem needed a more holistic approach (air intake, vapor barrier). He said he could spray something on it, but that was only a temporary fix and didn't want me to waste my time and money on that and exchange one smell for another. So he recommended contacting the businesses that do the kind of repair that I need. And he didn't charge me for the inspection and evaluation. What a nice, and very knowledgeable, person. The time between the plumber calling The Flood Guys and me getting a call back, was less than 15 minutes. They came out the same day and determined what likely needed to be done. It was a frustrating prospect for me, the cost and amount of work that was needed. Joel was reassuring and talked me through the process and really made me feel better. The work Joel and Jesse did, treating and where necessary, removing the damaged surfaces was quick, neat and not invasive.
