We took home a few samples and decided on what we wanted. We then scheduled a time for Kipp to come by and do a formal measurement and quote. No pressure - no gimmicks. Kipp knows his stuff about flooring. We then arranged to have the carpet installed. They worked around our schedule to set up the install. We moved many of the little things but the crew that did the installation handled the big furniture items and were very careful. The installation crew that Spencer Flooring uses were professional, knew their craft and were very polite. They did a nice job of cleaning up also. We are really happy with the carpeting and the overall experience and I'd highly recommend using Spencer Flooring.

When I asked if he could suck more water out, he stated it happens while he's cleaning. He has a hose wrapped with duck tape they was leaking all over my downstairs laminated floors and huffed when I ask to clean it right away. He said he does that at the end. I don't need my other floors damaged. My floors no smell like wet dog and they are not clean at all.

The second job was a nightmare. 2+ years later we have failing floors both downstairs and upstairs. Vinyl planks that were cut short were sliding out from under the baseboards. He installed quarter round (wood) molding around our bathtub instead of cutting the flooring flush - wood and water don't mix well. The entire bottom floor that was installed on concrete is missing a vapor barrier. David came back to take a look at the floor a couple of times and blamed the product not the install. Despite his assurances that he would make it right and "take care of us" he has not been responsive to our calls and texts. He says he has since gone out of business, which I'm not sure if that is true because his contractor's license is still active. At this point my wife and I are gathering our documentation and reporting him to the licensing board and will try to go after his Performance Bond that he was covered under during the installation. Let him deal with the state and not have to deal with him anymore ourselves.

The best part of the experience was the install and the install team. Manny and his crew absolutely crushed it. We had an issue with an unlevel floor, and they took the time to add self-leveling compound to fix the problem the right way. We also have a ridiculous amount of stairs -- 34 total -- that were previously covered in carpet, and they now look amazing. Manny and his team were excellent from start to finish. Highly recommend.

When I needed a more expensive kind the next week, I worked with a different employee who got me a better price than the ones I originally bought. I appreciated the "deal" but did not like how the discount was applied in one instance and not the other. This was during the anniversary sale, so most things were on sale. Lead time for my tile was quoted as 5-7 days. It took 2 weeks. The worst part was that the tile that I waited 2 weeks for was the wrong kind as the floor store/manufacturer messed up the order. The floor store got the manufacturer to rush the correct tile in a couple days...really wished they had the same hustle when I first put in my order. I ended up having to pay more for my contractor's time because the floor store took too long. If you are already working with an installer, I'd check with them to see if they can source materials. The price will certainly be much more competitive. I don't think I'd go through the trouble with the floor store again.

With only a couple of days notice, Fred came by to measure the house, helped up pick out a carpet AND had it installed all within like 72 hours. The installers were not only punctual, but early to knock this project out for us. They were super kind and worked very quickly, leaving us with our perfect carpet for our baby to learn to crawl on just in time for us to move our things in the next day. ---UPDATED REVIEW---…read more In March of 2022, I bought roughly 900 sq ft of beautiful flooring & I had them also do the installation. Mari (Owner) came to our house and inspected what my wife & I wanted to do to our floors. We received top-notch customer service. Installation also went perfectly. They did it all in one day, cleaned up after themselves, and were efficient. I was completely satisfied with what we had purchased. April 2023, a year later a few boards were coming loose and separated, one of which had an end that began to curl back and stick up from the ground. I contacted Mari about it and she came out to my home inspected the problem boards and agreed the boards needed to be replaced and fixed. She told me that she would contact the manufacturer of the flooring material and file a claim. In May 2023, she and a representative came to my home, they took pictures and told me they'd keep in touch - I said, "Great!" Sept 2023, four months later - she informed me that the Claim was approved and they were moving forward to fixing my floor. Oct 2023, twice I texted Mari for an update, no response. Nov 2nd, 2023, I am continuously contacting Mari and following up for a status update on the claim - I even had to go up to the store to speak to her husband. He took my information down and I still didn't receive a call back. Nov 3rd, 2023 I called her again and I finally reached her only for her to tell me that another customer of hers was experiencing the same problem and that she would call me back in an hour. Last I've heard from her. I called and left her a voicemail on November 24th, 2023 - no response. The floors are still not fixed. Be aware that once they get paid, the work is done, and you have a problem - you may never hear from them again. Now it's 2024, another year coming around and I can only assume that they found out that they are financially responsible and are backing out of it. I hope not but I don't know. No one calls me back.

We had a large amount of carpet to remove and wanted hardwood in its place. In addition we were trying to come close to an existing wood installed 7 years ago. Steve was so patient, he took a sample of our existing floor and searched till he was able to provide us two choices. The price was outstanding for the amount of work involved. Luis and Carlos installed our flooring, these guys were so professional. The quality of work was amazing. We have no transition strips in our house (no trip hazards ). They were able to make perfect cuts from the wood to the existing tile in the bathrooms and around the fireplace. Everyday I came home from work they left the house clean and functional. They took care moving our furniture. Our walls have rounded corners so putting the base boards back looked ominous to me, but they were experts and put it back better than the builder in some areas. We were more than pleased with our first experience with them and once again, Gary's Floors did an awesome job. The carpeting is absolutely beautiful and Gary's customer service was outstanding. I could kick myself for going with someone else months ago, but live and learn. If you're in the market for new flooring, choose Gary's and by all means avoid dealing with surly Kip at Spencer's Flooring.
