I was visiting my sister and she suggested this place. She called in our sandwich order so it would be ready when we arrived - we ordered 5 sandwiches. The sandwiches were HUGE-lots of meat. They were also DELICIOUS!!! What a value for $5! I had a Reuben-one if the best I've ever eaten. While we were waiting I also picked up some cheese and had some bologna freshly sliced to take with me. I also picked up a few things from the shelves - homemade corn chips with flax seed which were also very good. I would highly recommend this place. Everyone was so nice and helpful.

We chose Bella's, and I think we will certainly be back! The tables and chairs are kind of mis matched, and make the space super cozy. The menu leans to lunch fare - sandwiches, salads, soup, dessert, but that is pretty much what we were looking for! We started with a really refreshing strawberry lemonade, that was fresh mixed and had strawberry puree in it. We each had 2, which is a bit of an indulgence, but it was so good! For my lunch, I had the Rachel and a cup of potato corn chowder. The soup came out in a literal coffee mug, which was pretty adorable. It was very good, big chunks of potato and plenty of corn. And I always love a good Rachel. This was a great portion size (I actually ate the second half the next day, reheated), and good amounts of the coleslaw versus turkey. We also split an order of fries, which were like fair fries. Fair fries are my favorite, so I'm glad we got them! Finally, we split a sugar cookie, which was shaped like a balloon since Ashland is known for the hot air balloon festival! So cute and it was really good, with butter cream frosting. I will for sure come back next time I want to have lunch with friends!

The renovations are phenomenal, and we loved the indoor/outdoor dining and play area. Our active 2-year-old didn't want to leave the mini play barn, which gave the adults time to enjoy the delicious food and treats. Every employee was welcoming & friendly- the entire experience was Gouda-Fun . We'll definitely be back & often! Dick and Vera would be proud to see all the WONDERFUL additions to their barn!

But the workers are nice about it. So it's fine. First floor you can order food and then eat it outside or in the patio area. Hot dogs are good. You can also get ice cream and sides like onion rings. All prices are pretty average for a cafe. The other part of the first floor are savory snacks and soups, jerky, dips, pretzels, popcorn, crackers, jelly's, teas and such. You can try it all. Prices are about mediocre. Not cheap but not outrageous. Upstairs are all the cheeses, dressing, sausages, jarred condiments. Again you can get a taste of most anything. Cheeses are from all over the world and all types spicy, sharp, dill, bacon, champagne, almost anything you can think of. Prices are more expensive than Giant Eagle, Trader Joe's, Aldi's and most stores. But the combination of cheese flavors are pretty unique. Something you can't just get at those other stores. And think of it as a treat. You're not going to buy that cheese every week. So a treat is nice. Overall it is a fun experience for the whole family. We didn't go to the chocolate Sweeties side. But I am sure that is amazing too. You can eat at the cafe, buy some snacks, treats and cheese. It's fun and you don't do this every day. At least that's how I look at it. $50 dollars later. LOL! I did buy some treats as gifts too. So that is another option to consider.
